#BLUES #METAL #HEAVY - Видеоклипы
Black Sabbath if they came from Birmingham, Alabama rather than Birmingham, England.
😂😂😂
Nice one! This does sound similar to some of the BCC (Black Country Communion) material too, which is another fantastic blend of UK west Midlands metal with traditional blues.
Great piece of music.
sharing the aloha JJ's cover of "Paranoid" just saying ruclips.net/video/CbLw0rT0cHM/видео.html
Swamp Sabbath
I'd listen to an entire album of this no problem
Imagine with some badass vocals? Music match made in heaven!
White stripes?
@@FluxDiablo Closest thing that comes to my mind is some of the tracks off John Paul Jones "Zooma" from 1999, funnily enough around the same time The White Stripes dropped thier debut. Check out "Nosumi Blues" if you haven't heard it, It's sublime.
No... @@DavidGonzales-dm4pg
Metal and blues really need to come together more often. All the right pieces are there for amazing stuff.
They are always together, bro.
@@savin2807 well.they do a shit job of acting like it
@@savin2807 Definitely rooted, but putting blues on display like this in metal is not done as often as it should be (handful of exceptions out there)
Stoner Metal is usually pretty blues-heavy, always a good way to go :D
This be *Modern* blues. It might not sound traditional, but it’s another Monday in *The Brotherhood of Pain.*
I would love to hear a metal band play during a blackout using resonator instruments. The show must go on.
I don't know how you would call this genre but it is absolutely gorgeous. Please keep it up, cannot wait for another drop of something alike 🤩
I guess it'd be Delta Metal.
I think this qualifies as swamp metal
This the light end of the stoner/sludge metal vibe.
Cool AF Rock? You know, the thing with heavy blues influences that was the father of metal?
primus esque at points, the riff progression reminds me of "Shake Hands with Beef" or "My Name is Mudd"
Yeah, this is the sound we so crave for. Please make an Johnson Metal Delta Blues album!
I second this motion for a Metal Delta album!! \m/ \m/
Hell yeah me thrice it down
All in favor?
AYE
There, the “ayes” have it, the motion carries. The album must now commence forthwith.
Yep. We definitely need a full album of this style. 😍
Check out Low Volts. He has a very similar sound to this.
Anything Justin Johnson does is just plain awesome!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎😎
As Lynard Skynard once said, “You Got That Right”
@@LoneWolf-McWeed *Lynyrd Skynyrd*
I didn't know Swamp Metal was a thing, but I'm in... :)
Wow this is just amazing, have not heard anything like this from Justin can't believe the sound coming from the resonator.
Being both a metal head and into delta blues, this is the bomb! Would love to hear more of this heavy sound.
can't let that heavy metal sound disappear it must make a big comeback. and better.
I saw the title and thought, "WTF?". But, whatever comes from Justin's fingers is magic and hits the gut - just right. BIG thanks to the boys in the band - that synth worked perfectly in this context and the bass and drums, right on point.
Oh YEAH! You guys just scratched two of my favorite itches - The Blues AND Metal! Thank y'all VERY much!
For the sweet love of mercy, you MUST do a full album of this! And if you want a vocalist, get Nathan James from Inglorious and Iconic. He would be perfect for this kind of music.
This makes me think of a 2000's video game where you drive around a swamp in a rusted out pickup truck, shooting a bfr 45-70 revolver out your window at overgrown mutant crocodiles. Love it.
Love this heavy Southern metal!! Awesome
The only appropriate word I can think of to describe this is "BADASS!!"
Justin Johnson is becoming more impressive every time I hear him. This genre is captivating...
He really is one of my favorite guitarists of all time.
Only gets better with age 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Love this sound 🤘🤘 guitar magic.
MORE, give me MORE . My two favorite types of music together. So coooooool . All of Justin’s music is over the top. So glad I found him music .
I could see this working perfectly in a Rob Zombie movie while somebody is rolling up on someone else’s house, this playing in their ride WAAY HEAVY!!! ✌🏻💙🎶
There's some slide (a little bit) in More Human Than Human , so no wonder Zombie comes to mind right away. There could be more, for sure. Once one notices something, one may start finding it everywhere when it was overlooked before. Whatever some sound is named or declared, this here is good stuff anyway.
@@michaeljarvis5489very true. Since I got my shovel guitar and started playing I notice slide in songs I’ve listened to for years and never knew it was in there. ✌🏻❤️🎶
Stoner rockish more to my ear rather than metal, but you're still an icon Justin. Beautifully played - well done.
Yeah very CLUTCH sounding.
Perhaps you should call it 'where the desert meets the swamp' haha
Robin Trower...
Play it at 1.5x speed, definitely closer to metal for most of it. Enjoyable no matter the genre and playback speed though X)
@@joshuawills5242 I'm often dubious when people mention listening to stuff at higher speeds. But on this occasion i'll hold my hands up & stand corrected. It does sound pretty damn good at 1.5x lol😂
Still listen to the nola swamp blues every now and then
I'm in Berlin now, second day of stoner Desertfestival. This performance would have a place here - southern blues meets heavy brittish rock from Birm Sabbath
The synth add soooooo much. This is great.
Definitely getting “When The Levee Breaks” vibes. Very cool!
My fave metal band is very, very bluesy, they are called Eyehategod. They also have a heavy punk element, but when they aren’t bashing out a fast paced punk flavored turnaround they are churning slow, nasty, Sabbathian blues riffs from hell. They’re from New Orleans as well, true delta territory! 🤘
And boom. There it is. A new sound. I really think the inclusion of keys in the arrangement is what sets this off. You've got something unique here. I hope to hear more!
Awesome More drive and blues with elements of rock and metal.
we did it, we've done a full circle: first we evolved blues into metal and now we made a metalized version of a blues song, marvelous
I love listening to Justin Johnson and I definitely love metal so hearing both together is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Justin ........just what I needed to hear... I feel like I'm in the SWAMP today, it's damn near a 101, & I am sweating like a beaver trying to build me a damn.... But you've got me all relaxed now, and putting all that hard work aside to just chillax, finally got off my feet and listened to your jam..... Your tunes keep the spirit of the "down south blues alive", I'll hang out at the SWAMP anytime your around....keep up your jams, thank you, I am a great great fan.......
You guys just created a new music genre!”Heavy Metal Blues “🤟🤘👍
So incredibly good. My favorite thing you have done honestly! The talent in finding the unique and molding it into something flat out perfect is on full display. Props to you! Great great work!!
Ultimate road trip music. Listen to this anytime I'm on a trip either in the car or rocking chair 💺
Lolol
Holy molly, thank you for such a banger of a song!
Hearing this has just changed my whole day.
This is some badass music. It's nice to be taken aback and just listen to those sweet licks.
Music from the Hideout. Never disappoints!
I need a full album of this!
Can we get a whole album like this, please?
I want to play this in the background of my every day activities. Just good walkin’ and mean muggin music. Delightful. 🤘🤘🤘
I’ve been waiting for something like this!!!!!!
Walkout music for the BIG fight! Perfect
Finalmente alguien que permite al bajo brillar.
Usted es de los míos.
Best yet. Justin is great in solo but Love it when you play with the band
Fabulous lost myself in the sound.
Petition to get a "if delta blues was heavy metal" variant. I'd love to hear some chugging into a blues swagger breakdown.
Brilliant.💚
Oh hell yeah! I need more of this in my life!
Well done JJ! I could picture those Gators making their way out of the swamp! 👍👍🎸🎸
HELLO JUSTIN JOHNSON,WE HERE JUST LOVE YOUR STYLE OF MUSIC !! STILL SELECT YOUR MUSIC OVER A LOT OF OTHER MUSICIANS
Alright, alright, alright! Lovin' that resonator! More please 💖🤘🎶👏
People always said it was weird that I love old country and metal. Never really cared what they said or thought but the older I get the more I realize there's a lot of other people out there that just love good music 🤘💀🤘
You're great !!!🤘🎸🤠
Holy crap this is the nicest sound I've ever heard
Sounds like it would fit in perfect with the heavier stuff from the Peaky Blinders soundtrack ❤
AWESOME!!!!! I would buy that album!
If Delta Blues was Metal....that would be called Led Zeppelin. Like the playing though.
Noone can play the blues like you!!! Love your groove
This reminds me of LILY OF THE VALLEY , makes me feel like it's 2020 again , that was a good year for getting sloshed while listening to your songs like son of a witch, while my guitar gently weeps, blood moon, tennesee whiskey, etc thanks for another great one to add to my favorites, this year has been a great run so far.
This tune and sound is so addictive that I don't have the words. I'm both a metal head and a blues man, and this nourishes what's left of my soul.
like delta blues love metal bring it on
You made exactly what I’ve been hearing in my head for years come alive. My favorite guitarist bringing metal back to its humble blues roots. Thank you Justin!!!
I want a whole CD of this!!
Justin, did you meet the devil at the crossroads and make the deal to dance across the fretboard so effortlessly that it tickles one's eardrums magically!?!?
This guy single-handedly got me into dank swampy voodoo blues
This is amazing
Stoner metal! Love it!
Dope metal is a thing, and it doesn't sound like this, but this is outstanding.
*Modern Blues fo’ the Workin’ Man.*
Now we're talking!
Very cool 👍😎
This just shows how close to blues is metal. Incredible!
Ive always thought about starting a blues metal band and you just made me want to so much more.
Damn that was fire 🔥🔥🔥 I love Delta Blues and I love Metal so.. 💯 Awesome
Thanks brother!
Like sharing a catfish with a gator. Delicious.
Needs to be more mainstream.
Id enjoy hearing this music style on the radio
This is great, all that intense energy and attitude from the roots of the genre itself. This is the music we need more of nowadays.
More of this PLEASE
Always good to see something new!
Applying the slide to the metal sound is just so cool.
Metal + blues = perfection. I felt a lot of heavier grooves and ideas in previous tracks (I also did a "heavy" drum cover of Quicksilver if you wanna check it out;) and it feels like it all comes together perfectly in this tune, it's the sound I've been wanting to hear for a long time but couldn't because I'm not nearly good enough at guitar to create it ahahaha. Can't wait to hear more tracks in this style, even a whole record, or two, or even some more!
Holy shyte that was awesome brother JJ🙏🏻💜🇨🇦
Dude this a killer jam!!! Justin you never cease to amaze!!!!

Brilliant! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
oh this was SO good. A metal album, pleeeease!
Amazing fusion of sounds there, I really like it. Love the way you mic'd the guitar, too.
Thanks Jack!
This is what im TALKING ABOUT 🤘Blues with some metal❤️🔥
J J is 🔥 in any genre
Justin spreads his wings--love it ❤
Джастин возвышается всё больше и больше своим талантом это высокий профессиональный уровень у этого человека 🔥🔥🔥
No joke. THIS is my new sound. Hell yeah brother.
wow, sounds amazingly good!!
Perfect 👏👏👏 Respect from metal man!
This is amazing I can’t stop listening to it 👍
Congrats you invented a new metal subgenre: Delta Metal
Просто великолепно 🤠🤘
I recently played live, and I used the "slapping strings" method quite a bit. My folks got a real kick out of it. Glad to see it used well! Amazing work Justin! You never disappoint.
God bless you
Absolute 🔥
I wish this where an entire album I could listen to this all day
This is amazing!
