@Ay Man Abu 'Eīsā said: The Hadīth of Ibn Mas'ud is a Ḥasan Hadith.
This is the saying of more than one among the people of knowledge among the Companions of the Prophet and the Tabi'īn. It is the saying of Sufyan [Ath Thawri] and the people of Al Kūfah.

    • @FaZe567
      @FaZe567 3 года назад +5

@Ay Man This is what Imām Tirmidhi رحمہ اللہ commented on the hadīth number 257, saying that not doing Rafa-ya-dain was the opinion of more than one "knowledgeable" Sahaba and Taba'ee. Secondly, Kūfah was the capital of knowledge at that time, there were among the poeple Abdullāh ibn Mas'ūd رضي الله عنه and 'Alī رضي الله عنه. So if they wanted that the people should do Rafa-ya-dain, they could've commanded them to do. As simple as that.

@@FaZe567 imam Bukhari wrote a book named juzz rafayadain in support of it. He mention 122 Hadith there.. and he declared people who don't do rafayadain as enemy of ahle sunnat. he further said that he got hadiths from Makkah, hejaz, Yemen, Iraq and not even one hadith is proven where the sahaba left rafayadain. He also said that those who don't do rafayadain have showed hatred towards the sunnah of prophet muhammad (peace be upon him). these hanafis scholars are just liars in case of rafayadain, the strongest hadith of not doing rafayadain in tirmidhi is also subject to controversy because of tadlees of sufyan thawri, people like ibn hajar have mentioned him in 2nd level mudallis but people like imam hakim have mentioned him in 3rd level mudallis. And when a mudallis narrates with 'an' it is rejected unless he specifically narrates with the word "akhbarna / samiatu / haddathan a" etc in some other narration.
Scholars like imam nawawi, imam bayhaqi, imam Bukhari, Abdulla ibn mubarak, imam Ahmad, imam Shafi, ibn hibban, imam Abu Dawood, imam hakim, imam darimi, ibn qudamah have declared this hadith weak because of the reason stated above.
It is also true that people like ibn hazm have said it authentic. Imam tirmidhi said "Hasan'". But the point is that this is subject to controversy. While on the other hand, the hadith of rafayadain especially of bukhari and muslim and muwatta are declared authentic by everyone. Why follow a controversial hadith and leave a 100% authentic hadith? Dosent makes sense to me.
Also this scholar lied when he said the hadith of rafayadain in removed by imam Malik in his final muwatta, which is copied by Yahya bin Yahya.. have the Yahya bin Yahya based muwatta, and the rafayadain hadith is still there.

      @DC DC Aslmua'laikum, dear brother.
There's different science in a hadith that should be consider.
Mansook hadith depends on the qiyaas.
Imaam shafei mazhab do raful yadain, then it's fine according to the core principles of the mazhab and doing taqleed of it, it's fine.
      Same for hanafi mazhab.
But if you pick and choose then it's not good because we don't have the level of ijtehaad.
      Imaam muslim
      Imaam abu dawwod
      Imaam an nawawi
      Imaam as SUYOOTI
      Hafiz ibnu hajar ect..رحمهم الله
All these were doing taqleed and there's was a whole respect among different opinions.
The danger is following deen without this.

    • @chabi82
      @chabi82 4 года назад +1

@DC DC just because it was in Bukhari doesn't mean it couldn't be abrogated. For example, if the Prophet commanded something in Makkah, that command might be reported in Bukhari. However, it is possible that that command was abrogated in Medinah. It is not necessary that the abrogation be reported in Bukhari as well. This is why the Fuqaha do not look at only Bukhari while passing a ruling, they consider all sahih ahadith from all books, and there are hundreds of collections of hadith apart from the Sihah Sittah too, such as Sahih ibn Hibban, Mustadrak al-Hakim, Musannaf ibn Abu Shaybah, etc.

    • @chabi82
      @chabi82 4 года назад +1

@DC DC it would be permissible for you to do Rafa Yadain, but the best course of action is to leave it. No, you will not leave the Hanafi madhhab if you perform Rafa Yadain. There are many ahadith which are evidence for the abrogation of Rafa Yadain. The most authentic ones are Muslim 968, Tirmidhi 257, and Nasai 1059 (numbering according to islam360 app).
You should understand that no one disagrees about Rafa Yadain being permissible. However, Hanafis believe it is better to leave it, while others believe it is better to perform it. In the end, it is best to follow your madhhab, especially if you are not a scholar. Hope that clarifies things.

    • @usamabassa7461
      @usamabassa7461 4 года назад

@DC DC it won't be haraam.. But it would be mukhalaf to the sunnah. I.e against the sunnah.
You must understand properly that a mazhab is like a sharia ruling on it's own.
That's why when one doesn't have the ability to do ijtehaad, then he must follow the mazhab so that he won't be question on the day of qiyamah
      Allah knows best.

It's very important to go to the explanation of this hadith. Imam abu Dawood has mentioned that this hadith is a part of a long hadith. Also, there are more than 30 Narrations of Rafa ul Yadain from different companions of The Prophet (PBHU) saying that He (PBUH) he would do Rafa ul Yadain before going to Rukoo and rising from it and after the first tashahud. So we can't not say that those 30 narrations are incorrect and this one narration of Abdullah ibn Mas'ood is correct. One must present all the narrations to reach the conclusion.

      3) Abdal Qadir al-Arna’ut (d. 2004) in his tahqiq to Imam ibn al-Athir’s Jami al-Usul fi Ahadith al-Rasul authenticated it
      4) Hussain Salim Asad in his tahqiq to Musnad Abu Ya’la (3/220) said it is Sahih, and also mentioned Ibn Hazm declaring it Sahih. Asad also said there is no Illa in the hadith of ibn Mas’ud (3/221)
      5) Adil ibn Yusuf al-Azazi and Ahmad ibn Farid declared it Sahih in their editing of the Musnad of ibn Abi Shayba (1/219, no. 323) - and they also mentioned Ahmad Shakir’s view as I mentioned above.
Of the most prominent Hanafi Ulama alive in Amman currently is Shaykh Shu’ayb al-Arna’ut - he also affirmed the authenticity of the Ibn Mas’ud narration in his Tahqiq to the Musnad of Ibn Hanbal.
As for the views of Imam Abu Hanifa and his students on leaving Raf’ul yadayn after the initial Takbir - then this is very well known about them, rather this is the view of the vast majority of the earlier Kufan Ulama from the Salaf. In the Musannaf of ibn Abi Shayba there are a number of narrations from these Kufan Fuqaha and Muhaddithin negating Raf’ul yadayn - in line with the likes of the great Tabi’in - Alqama, Aswad, Ibrahim al-Nakha’i, Hammad ibn Abi Sulayman and others. It is also the strongest position in the Maliki School not to make Raf’ul yadayn in line with the jumhur Kufan Ulama.

Bruh just go to bukhari 735 and 736 and end this already. The Prophet ﷺ did it. You quote albani when it supports you but you don't quote him when he has a whole book on the prayer and he proves raf' al yadayn is from the sunnah.

yes, we should do rafa ul yadain
Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah: My father said, Allah's Apostle used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka l-hamd. And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations.

Brother didn't one of the greatest students of imam abu hanifa, imam muhammad al-shaybani hold the view that doing rafyal dayn is correct and also part of the sunnah. So if i do rafyal dayn am i not hanafi muslim anymore? can i continue to do it for sunnah purpose only?

imam Bukhari wrote a book named juzz rafayadain in support of it. He mention 122 Hadith there.. and he declared people who don't do rafayadain as enemy of ahle sunnat.. he further said that he got hadiths from Makkah, hejaz, Yemen, Iraq and not even one hadith is proven where the sahaba left rafayadain.
And when a mudallis narrates with 'an' it is rejected unless he specifically narrates with the word "akhbarna / samiatu / haddathana" etc in some other narration.
Imam tirmidhi said "Hasan". But the point is that this is subject to controversy. While on the other hand, the hadith of rafayadain especially of bukhari and muslim and muwatta are declared authentic by everyone. Why follow a controversial hadith and leave a 100% authentic hadith? Dosent makes sense to me. Also this scholar lied when he said the hadith of rafayadain in removed by imam Malik in his final muwatta, which is copied by Yahya bin Yahya... I have the Yahya bin Yahya based muwatta, and the rafayadain hadith is still there.

[3476] 66 - (1421) It was narrated from In 'Abbâs that the
    Prophet S.A.W said:
"The previously-married woman has more right concerning herself than her guardian does, and the virgin should be asked for permission, and her permission is her silence."
Can anyone tell me the interpretation of this hadeeth? Does this means wali not mandatory for a previously married women?

Sir, question is why are we confusing the muslims so much - Dr. Zakir - Dr. Israr and all those scholars I see every where - they do Rafaidain - and if it has been done by Rasool Allah- why do we break it and reading books so many many books from so many many different humans ( muslims ) imama molanas but still not masoom. why can not we just read sahi Muslim and Quran and bring all in one path rather - so many books are added so many will be in the future and people will be getting confused. not these scholars like israr sahab marhoom and others are enough for a person like me who doest know much. but now since i have started reading more - i see and found Rafaidain hadith so many many in Sahi Muslims - i mean good numbers - so why would i or why would i read any other book - secondly Rafaidan kerne wale ko shetan samjha jaata hei sir- and its true when ever i try to do it people stair at me as they will eat me or some thing. but more i study - more i get into that how people have been made confused seriously. i have been in seroza and chillas but I see reading those books in bayans which is written by buzrigs - and i just asked them why dont we read quran and they get angry - i requested why dont we just take quran and go to shopes and read loudly about things we should care about while doing business - which is written in quran and this is Allahs word - and we can be witnessed that we read this infront of dood wala that milawat mat karo Allah ka kalam hei ye. but never seen such thing happening - fazail e amaal fazaail e sadqaat hi kyu athentic hei sir???

Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah: My father said, Allah's Apostle used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka l-hamd. And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations.

Tirmidhi 257 Abdullah ibn mas'ud(ra) did Rafaeyadain one first time only in prayer. and if we take tirmidhi 258 Ibn mas'ud(ra) used to do tatbeeq in ruku, tatbeeq means making a clap of both hands in ruku 'and put it between thighs. What should be done with this? Ibn Mas'ud(ra) all his life in Iraq did tatbeeq and taught people same thing.

Translation: Abdullah ibn Mas’ud said: Should I not demonstrate the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) for you? "HE PERFORMED THE PRAYER AND DID NOT RAISE HIS HANDS EXCEPT IN INITIAL TAKBIR"
Imam at-Tirmidhi said: In this chapter (hadiths) are also narrated by Bara bin Azib (ra). This Hadith of Ibn Masud is "HASAN (GOOD)" and It is "GHAYR WAHID (i.e. Multiply narrated)" from people of knowledge among Companions of Prophet, the Successors, and It is also the saying of "Sufyan ath-Thawri (one of the leading authorities in hadith)" and also people of KUFA"
[Jami’i at-Tirimidhi, Volume No. 2, Page No. 102, Published by Maktaba al Asriyyah, Beirut, Lebanon. In online version see, Vol. 1, Book 2, Hadith 257, where it is wrongly declared to be weak in Salafi Dar us Salam publication]
This hadith will be counted as Marfu hadith because Ibn Masud (r.a) was teaching prayer of Prophet.
Ibn Hazm al-Dhahiri, who is held in high esteem by Salafis, said: This report is "Authentic" [Al-Muhalla (4/88)]. Remember Ibn Hazm did not just authenticate the chain, he actually authenticated the complete "KHABR/HADITH"
Shaykh Ahmad Muhammad Shakir, highly revered by Salafi School, also declared the Hadith of Ibn Mas’ud in his editing of Jami al-Tirmidhi - to be Authentic - and clarified that there is no hidden defect (illa) in this narration as some of the Hadith scholars claimed in early times. He also affirmed it to be authentic in line with ibn Hazm - while editing his Muhalla (4/88, Masa'il no. 442)
Nasir ud din al-Albani, the top notch hadith authority of Salafis, also declared the Hadith of Ibn Mas’ud to be authentic at 2 places in his Tahqiq (research) to Mishkat al-Masabih (1/254, # 809, footnote. 3) and "Sahih" Sunan Abu Dawud (1/143, # 683). Albani made it clear by saying:
والحق انه حديث صحيح واسناده صحيح على شرط مسلم ولم نجد لمن اعله حجة يصلح التعلق بها ورد الحديث من اجلها
The truth is that this hadith is "SAHIH" and its chain is also Sahih on the criteria of Sahih Muslim. The people who have declared it Malool (i.e. having defect) have no proof over it through which they can derive proof in negating this hadith (Mishqat al Masabih, Tahqiq Nasir al-Albani, Volume 1, Page No. 254, Hadith Number. 809, FN. 3)
The Salafi scholar Muhammad Muhayudin Abdul Hamid declared it authentic in his Tahqiq to Sunnan Abu Dawud (1/258, Published by Dar ul Fikr, Beirut, Lebanon)
Hussain Saleem Asad another Salafi authority in his Tahqiq to Musnad Abu Ya'la (3/220) said it is authentic, and also mentioned Ibn Hazm declaring it authentic. Asad also said there is no illa (defect) in the hadith of ibn Mas’ud (3/221)
Adil ibn Yusuf al-Azazi and Ahmad ibn Farid declared it authentic in their editing of the Musannaf ibn Abi Shayba (1/219, no. 323) - and they also mentioned Ahmad Shakir's view as mentioned above.
There are over 20 scholars including those of Salafi School who have authenticated this hadith.
The Salafis say that this hadith has Tadlees (cheating) of Sufyan ath-Thawri who narrated with “AN” and when he narrates with “AN” then the hadith is not acceptable.
Let us now see what a big Salafi authority of sub-continent i.e. Yahya Gondalvi said regarding Tadlees of Sufyan:
سفيان الثورى الام المشهور الفقيه العابد الحافظ الكبير وصفه النسائى وغير بالتدليس وقال البخارى ما اقل تدليسه
Translation: Sufyan ath-Thawri was the famous Imam, the Faqih (jurist), the Aabid (worshipper), “Hafidh ul-Kabeer (great memorizer).” Imam Nasa’i and others said that he was Mudalis and Imam Bukhari said: His Tadlees is “VERY LITTLE”
Ibn Hajr al Asqalani has classified Mudaliseen into 5 categories and has kept Sufyan ath-Thawri in the second category. He has himself clarified about 2nd category of Mudaliseen, by saying: The second category of Mudaliseen have been “ACCEPTED BY SCHOLARS (OF HADITH) AS THEIR HADITHS ARE TAKEN IN CATEGORY OF SAHIH BECAUSE OF THEIR LITTLE TADLEES, FOR EXAMPLE SUFYAN THAWRI” In this category the narrators have done Tadlees from “THIQA (reliable)” narrators just like Imam Ibn Uyaynah (rah) did.
It is clear from this Usooli (principle based) discussion made by Imam Ibn Hajr al Asqalani that Sufyan Thawri was Mudalis but his Tadlees was “NOT HARMFUL HAVING ANY EFFECT ON THE CREDIBILITY OF HADITH.” As a result, the Hadith cannot be rejected because of this Tadlis.

imam Bukhari wrote a book named juzz rafayadain in support of it. He mention 122 Hadith there.. and he declared people who don't do rafayadain as enemy of ahle sunnat.. he further said that he got hadiths from Makkah, hejaz, Yemen, Iraq and not even one hadith is proven where the sahaba left rafayadain.
And when a mudallis narrates with 'an' it is rejected unless he specifically narrates with the word "akhbarna / samiatu / haddathana" etc in some other narration.

I am no scholar or a man a knowledge to reply to you but with my limited knowledge let me counter you. I accept Bukhari as authentic, we all do and we accept Hadith 735 in Bukhari and Muslim, 390 in regards to prophet pbuh raising his hands. If was Imam Shafi,Malik or Hambal who stated their was no raising of hands, I woiuld disregard this view and raise hands myself. Abu Hanifa had 3000 teachers who were sahabi and took hadith from them. Abu Hanifa walked and talked with the sahabi, he prayed with the sahabi, why didn't the sahabi raise their hands during salah?? If they did why did abu Hanifa not report this?? Your a man a knowlegde, i don't need to mention the big heavy weights (sahaba) who taught Abu Hanifa you will know this e.e Abdullah ibn Mas'ud RA .... truth is .... Bukhari came 100 years later after Imam Abu Hanifa, the information Bukhari had a century later may have made him class the hadith as weak but at the time of Abu Hanifa had more information. Seem's to me both are right, prophet lifted his hands on occasion's (we don't know why). Bukhari was the Muhadith of all Muhadith's but he can only go by the information that was available during his time. Like i said i would myself accept this view because of Hadith 735 in Bukhari and 390 in Muslim but because of the fact that Abu Hanifa wald and talked with the prophet pbuh sahabi , i very much doubt Abu Hanifa would have got such a simple thing wrong. 90% of th world agree. Seljuk Turks ruled the world, they were Hanafi, Ottoman's ruled the world they were also Hanafi .... Allah has blessed the follower's .... we respect all 4 Imam's and their work for Islam ... but your showing disrespect for the ONLY imam who was a Tabi....... May Allah guide us all, ameen

According to ibn hajar, imam dhahabi etc.. imam Abu hanifa only saw Anas ibn malik.. that’s it! He just saw him once or twice... but even then he never transmitted anything from him, because he was very small when he saw Anas ibn malik.

The Salafis only keep trying to correct others or even judging others based upon this issue is simply because they read the title of Sh Al-Albaani’s book ‘the PROPHETS Prayer Described’. As a Salafi for 25 years this is their reason. It’s very wrong and the title of the book caused it all sadly.

@@abdullahzubair1149 Who is lefting other books?
imam Bukhari wrote a book named juzz rafayadain in support of it. He declared people who don't do rafayadain as enemy of ahle sunnat. he further said that he got hadiths from Makkah, hejaz, Yemen, Iraq and not even one hadith is proven where the sahaba left rafayadain.

Assalamu alaikum, no one can speak against the Hanafi sect because it is a narration by our Prophet Abdullah Ibn Masud, our Prophet did not raise his hands in the Takbir of Iftitah anywhere else, now you will say that this Companion's statement is a liar, no, our Prophet never raised his hands when the time came, and the Messenger of Allah taught him that, yes, he was raising his hands when Islam first entered. The hadith passed, when the hadith was passed, our Prophet did not raise his hand anywhere when he prayed in Ibni Masud, this is a separate wisdom, no one can make this companion look like a liar, I am not saying that the Prophet did not raise his hands, tell me why there are sects, doesn't Shafi Hanbali have the same opinion, even Maliki does not raise his hands, 2 people raise their hands, 2 people He raises his hands, but there will be differences, are the 5 fingers the same? The Messenger of Allah said not to exceed the ijma when praying, that's why there are sectarian imams, fortunately, they are all like the sun and the moon. There was turmoil in the past, related to Bukhari, but the problems were solved. If the narration of our Prophet did not come, Ibn Mesuda prayed like that, respect this opinion, here are the sect imams. They had different opinions and ijma. Why does Maliki sect exist? You think that Hanbali and Shafi are the same. You think it is not. In the 2 tashahuds, Hanbali raises his hands and ties them, but Shafi does not, they all have different views. If not, how would the sect be? The Messenger of Allah knew everything. A word said by Hazrat Abu Bakr. There is mercy in every separation.

You quoted 1 hadeeth which has some doubt and then you quote a bunch of "elders" and accuse people of following these elders.
Brother, we follow EVIDENCES not elders. If an elder got it wrong we throw that opinion in the trash. We ONLY follow Evidences from Prophet.
There are many hadeeths that clearly show Raf-ya-Dain was what was commanded.

    Sahih muslim 896, Sunan dawood 723, 726, 727, 728, 729, Sunan Nasai 1056.
    Abu Dawood 726
Narrated Wail ibn Hujr (RA) : I purposely wanted to look at the prayer of the Prophetﷺ, how he offered it. The Prophetﷺ stood up, faced the direction of the qiblah and uttered the takbir and then raised his hands in front of his ears, then placed his right hand on his left hand. When he was about to bow, he raised hands in the same manner. He then placed his hands on his knees. When he raised his head after bowing, he raised them in the like manner. When he prostrated himself he placed his forehead between his hands. He then sat down and spread his left foot and placed his left hand on his left thigh, and kept his right elbow aloof from his right thigh. He closed his two fingers and made a circle (with fingers). I (Asim ibn Kulayb) saw him (Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal) say in this manner. Bishr made the circle with the thumb and the middle finger and pointed with the forefinger.

imam Bukhari wrote a book named juzz rafayadain in support of it. He mention 122 Hadith there.. and he declared people who don't do rafayadain as enemy of ahle sunnat.. he further said that he got hadiths from Makkah, hejaz, Yemen, Iraq and not even one hadith is proven where the sahaba left rafayadain.
And when a mudallis narrates with 'an' it is rejected unless he specifically narrates with the word "akhbarna / samiatu / haddathana" etc in some other narration.

Imam Abu Dawud & Imam Eesa Tirmizi says in that hadith: "Abdul rehman didnt hear this from Alqama after that hadith".
Imam Abu Dawud & Ibn Hajar in Sharh Bukhari say that: "Only one time of rafa-yadain is not proven & rafa-yadain is proven from 50 sahaba".
Imam Bukhari's compiled a full book called: "Juzz rafa-yadain."
Moreover, Imam Abdul Qadir Jailani used to also do rafa-yadain.
Yet, Hanafi never mentions this. This is their misleading & blind taqleed. Only doing istidlal from WEAK HADITHS trying to prove your sunnah TRUE.

What about Hadith no 253 of jam e tirmazi?
It says Allah's Messenger would say takbeer for every lowering and raising ,standing and sitting and so did Abu Bakr (ra) and Umar (ra)....it's been narrated by Abdullah bin Mas'ud

    • @AfwaunMuMeen

That Hadith was narrated by Abdullh ibn Mas'ud {Radhiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu} BUT this ILLUSTRIOUS Sahaabi ONLY raised his hands during the initial takbeer
Abdullah ibn Umar {Radhiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu} narrated a Hadith regarding raising the hands BUT this was NOT his practice, he merely just narrated what he "seen" the Prophet {Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam} do at one time BUT the fact that they did NOT practice on that saying of the Prophet {Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam} is the PROOF for us NOT doing it
