    Summary(Important Notes) of
    The Fiqh of Salah
Episode 8: The Description of Salah From Hadith
Hadith on the description of Salah:-
    1. The most comprehensive Hadith on the description of Salah is “Hadith of the One who Prayed Badly”. There are many versions in the wording of this Hadith which is the basis of different interpretations of different Madhabs.
    2. Hadith of Ibn ‘Abbas where the Prophet(SAW) said “I have been forbidden to recite the Qur’an in Ruku’ and Sujood. So in Ruku, glorify Allah. In Sujood, increase your Dua.”
    3. Aisha(RA) narrates that whenever the Prophet(SAW) stood up from Ruku and Sujood, he(SAW) would say “سُبْـحانَكَ اللّهُـمَّ رَبَّـنا وَبِحَـمْدِك ،اللّهُـمَّ اغْفِـرْ لي” [Al-Bukhari 1/99, Muslim 1/350]. The part “اللّهُـمَّ اغْفِـرْ لي” is also said between the prostrations and is taken as Wajib for Hanbali Madhab(because it is authentically narrated by Aisha) but the other three Madhabs do not consider it to be Wajib.
    4. Saeed Ibn Khudri(RA) narrated that upon rising from Ruku the Prophet(SAW) said: “ (a long dua)” [Muslim 1/346, Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 2/284]. The entire dua is Sunnah but the Wajib part is “رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ”.
    5. Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet(SAW) said: “I have been commanded to prostrate on seven limbs - forehead and nose, both hands, both knees, and toes.” (Bukhari, Muslim) These compulsory parts have to touch the ground for a proper Sajdah.
    6. Abdullah ibn Buhaina(RA) narrated “Whenever the Prophet(SAW) prayed, he(SAW) would put distance between his(SAW)’s hands in Sajdah until you could see the whiteness of his(SAW)’s armpits.” This is not in the congregation but when you are praying alone.
Description of Salah without mentioning what is Rukun, Wajib, or Sunnah:-
    1. Once he finishes reading what he needs to read, then he does Takbeer and goes into Ruku.
    2. He raises his hands as he did the first time(this is the position of Hanbali, Maliki, and Shafi Madhabs but not Hanafi Madhab).
    3. Then he places his hands on his knees and grasps them with open fingers. He straightens his back and he makes his head straight as per the back. (Evidence: Hadith Abu Hunayn) All Madhabs agree on this.
    4. Then he says “سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ” three times. All Madhabs agree on this.
    5. Then he raises his head while he says “سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ”. All the Madhabs agree on this.
    6. He stands up raising his hands(only Hanafi Madhab disagrees).
    Side Note:
Raising of hands is said to do four times:
    1. Beginning of the Salah.
    2. Before Ruku.
    3. After Ruku.
    4. When you stand up from second(if you pray three or four Raka). This one is not mentioned in the book.
    7. Once he is standing straight, he should say the long dua(mentioned in the Hadith). As for the person who is following the Imam, he should not say “سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ”. He should just say “رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ” or the long Dua.
    8. Then he falls into Sajdah without raising his hands. All Madhab agree on this.
    9. When you fall into Sajdah - first knees should touch the ground and then the hands and then the face.
[This is the dominant position in Hanbali Madhab. This is a controversial issue and there are two opinions within the Madhab. The Hadith that says this also has another version which says the opposite(hands first then knees).]
    10. In Sajdah, he spreads his limbs out and his stomach is far from his thighs(as best as we can). Most scholars say that women should not do this(especially in public). There is no Hadith but it is logical.
    11. He places his hands at the same level as his shoulders.
    12. He sits in a particular position(إفتراش) - the left foot is placed flat, the body is sitting on it and the right foot’s toes are pointing to the Qiblah and it is upright. All Madhabs agree on this.
    13. He should say “رَبِّيْ اغْفِرْ لِي”. The Hambali Madhab says that this is Wajib but other Madhabs disagree.
    14. Once he finishes two Raka, he will sit for Tashahud in the same position(the one described in point 12). He will place his left hand on his thigh stretched out. The right hand will be on the right thigh but he closes his right little finger and the ring finger. He makes a circle with the middle finger and the thumb. He continues to point with his index finger. Whatever you do with the finger, it is accepted. Don’t waste much time here.
    15. He should say the Tashahud of Ibn Mas’ud which is the most authentic one. The Tashahud is not the conversation between Allah and the Prophet(SAW) during Isra Wa Mi’raj.
    16. He should then say Salat Ibrahimiyah which has been authentically narrated from the Prophet(SAW).
    17. Then it is encouraged that he seeks refuge from the punishment of Hell, the punishment of the grave, trials of living and dying, and the trial of Dajjal. Aisha(RA) narrated that the Prophet(SAW) did this.
    18. Then he turns right saying Salam and he turns left and says the same. This is explicitly narrated by Ibn Mas’ud. The Prophet(SAW) turned all the way.
    19. If he is praying more than two Raka, He will stand up after the first Tashahud as he stood up from the Sujood. Then he will pray the other two Raka. He will not recite anything other than the Fatihah.
    20. Then when he sits for the final Tashahud, he should sit in another position(تورّق) - the right foot is exactly the same(as point 12) and the left leg will go underneath the thigh and the weight of the body will be on the left thigh and the left buttock. So you will sit on the floor on the left side of your body. Both feet will be pointed outwards.
    21. He will not do (تورّق) unless the prayer has two Tashahuds - Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.
    22. When he does the Salam, he should say “أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ ” three times because it is authentically narrated.
Important Note: Most of these details are Sunnah, not doing them does not negate the Salah.
    This ends the entire summary.
Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi talked about it so that I can be sure.
    JazakaAllah Khair

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said," Whoever says: "La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir," one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he."
Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Surat al-Mulk every night, Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave.”

Jazakallahu khairan! I think I am missing a part of this series. The Shaykh begins the description of the salah from going to ruku in this video.
The last video ended with Shorooth of the salah . So where is the description of the salah before rukuu?

      What is a blase attitude?
If you describe someone as blase, you mean that they are not easily impressed, excited, or worried by things, usually because they have seen or experienced them before.
      I think you mean "bless".

Why only Sunni Muslims and Jews continuously advising and telling their people to do this, do not do that repetitively. They have no respect for and no trust in their followers. They treat their people as fundamentally primitive and sinful.

    • @triesposto
      @triesposto 2 года назад +8

People are by nature inclined to sinful, i.e. harmful acts to themselves or to others.
This has been the case for the entire human race throughout history and *is* the same now.
The fact that you mention Sunni Muslims and Jews gives weight to your hypocrisy.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam have rules. Forbidden and allowed things.
Those that deviate from their religion - ignore what constitutes their religion!
Those who follow the teachings of their religion, follow their religion!
One of the main characteristics of the religion (sunni/shia, catholic/protestant etc) is GUIDANCE.
Btw. This wasn't your first comment, and the fact that you keep repeating it implies that you somehow think you said something deep and profound. Yet that argument is completely idiotic, as every country, ideology or religion has allowed and forbidden things. Unless you are an anarchist of course, and if you are, then logical conversation with you is futile.

I totally disagree, all the rules are by Allah Tallah, and we love to please him.

*No, everyone is good by nature, we are conditioned and deceived by criminal and fake leaders to sin and harm ourselves and others*
-You can say this only if you live in seclusion, are quite young or happen to be in an imaginary place where such things don't occur. The fact of the matter is, and before I continue, I live in a western country.
The fact of the matter is, murder is happening *daily* , rape is happening *daily* , child rape is happening *daily* , human trafficking, torture, extortion, deceit etc. Those things are happening at this moment while you're reading and while I was writing. It has nothing to do at all with what fake leaders propagate! In EVERY single country, ideology that commands an inch of respect, those things are prohibited, yet we see them happening every moment somewhere in the world! Human is too capable of evil, that's why a human needs law to control him/her. Religion just has its own law.
*Religion (راه جان = way of life) is not in a physical sense but is the direction in life. Religious leaders and prelatures treating their subjects as animals and jailed, they create their own custom list of forbidden and allowed, free humans do not need that. Anyone who makes a mistake and hurt others will be punished in a just society and no religion has any right to determine that based on their custom list.*
      - I mostly addressed your issue in the previous paragraph, but let me summarize it for this one. Religious leaders uphold the religious laws. Secular country leaders uphold the law of the country.
The fact that you mention: "Anyone who makes a mistake and hurt will be *punished in just society* " makes me laugh, because you refuted and contradicted yourself entirely! Society has a certain tradition, culture and time upon which the societal rules are applied and you confirmed it! If you live in a highly religious society, that very same religious society will want the rules of their religion upheld. Leaders of a certain society make rules based on their ideology, religion has its own ideology which it claims to be from God. And the fact of the matter is, most of the western, secular morality ideas are based on Islamic/Christian/Judean moralities (as the countries which uphold the current secular values were originally one of the mentioned). Btw. if you wanna mince words about religion, and absolutely blindly claim it has nothing to do with guidance, here's another definition: *Latin religio(n- ) ‘obligation, bond, reverence’, perhaps based on Latin religare ‘to bind’.*
By the same logic, if a religion says, that God said "Do this, don't do that", God said it just for funs and tricks? Yeaaah, no.
*Repeating the same, unfounded argument, and quite proudly saying it won't be your last.*
-I'm saying, listen to the point others make, then either refute their argument or make arguments that are in any way defendable.
-You're saying that logical conversation is beyond others like me, yet you didn't provide a single piece of credible, logical conclusion, or directly addressed any given point from a previous post. Talking in that manner, repeating, that is; preaching something without listening to others is a monologue. If you continue to indulge in that, I have no interest to continue the conversation
      As well, all the best.

I worked in a global mining corporate - and we are always reminded on the corporate values that guide our work ethics and we have standard operating procedures and regular training to ensure compliant. I went on public transport and i see regular reminder of certain process and procedures. By using your logic, is the corporate world don’t have any respect and no trust towards their employees and see the employees are fundamentally primitive because they kept reminding them of the corporate values and procedures? No. Why? Because we human being needs regular reminder as we human being have tendencies to forget.
