Dear brothers , I think that the Messiah was protected by Allah , nobody could touch him , he is also seen after the crusifiction on his way to Efese I think , so maybe and plausibel explanation is that he was still alive. Jazzak Allah khair exactly sums up my thoughts on the issue. Iv spent almost 20 years working daily and in great detail regarding the Prophet’s sirah PBUH & as such needed to dive deep into many Quran tafsir and hadith sharh works. My humble assessment about shiekh imran is that he is inshallah smart and sincere but unfortunately lacks important tools regarding Quran and Hadith including good arabic . May Allah guide us all to the correct path

I agree with you Sheikh, I got the same conclusion when I research this subject. But after I studied the methodology used by Sheikh Imran Husein for studying The Qur'an, I accept his view on this. The very fundamental problem I think is located on the methodology, so that's why there are several different interpretations on this subject. It will be wise if Sheikh Yasir give some comments on the methodology for study Qur'an used by Sheikh Imran Husein, because many of Sheikh Imran Husein opinions differ with mainstream ulama is caused by his methodology. But I'm very happy that many scholars in Islam right now is put some of their intentions on Sheikh Imran Husein Lecturers. May Allah bless for all our ulama.
Well I see my self as a student of sheick Imran and I do 100%accept his methodology and his views.However on this topic of cricifixion I will defer with Him regarding the unambigous statement of the ayat on the topic.becoz according to sheick Jesus was crucified but did not die. and the Quran handled death and crucifixion separetly and all were a NOT. I am a layman and a weak muslim but years ago when I read those verses it really did not bother me or even fry my brain...I just understood it as "Esa (AS) was not killed and crucified...I just believed that because Allah is all powerful, wise and all knowing, he can do anything and to make these enemies believe that they killed Esa(AS) is simple for Allah. How Allah did it is in the knowledge of Allah. Go back to the time of Moosa(AS) when those magicians made their ropes and sticks appear to be moving and alive like serpents, the crowd saw that and believed it, then the truth from Allah that was given to Moosa(AS) destroyed their lies and deception. So Allah can make anything appear to anyone and which ever way he wants.

So why should I listen to someone else qhen the quran says clearly not to follow any other book? Why do you have to refer to other books to understand the work of god if he said he made it easy to understand? Also the quran said it was given in Arabic for everyone to understand right? What I don't understand is that if I try to read the quran I cannot because I need to understand Arabic right? Because as Muslims always say, 1 word has different meaning depending on the context. Friend, Jesus Christ clearly stated that anyone who DENIES his crucifixion is inspired by SATAN. This is found in the Gospels which are confirmed (if you believe the Qur’an) as the eternal and unalterable (incorruptible) word of Allah and which Christians had with them and should judge themselves by. (QS 18:27, 5:43, 5:47, 3:3-4, 6:115 and 7:157). It's the Qur'ans dilemma! Does the Qur'an know WHY the Jewish high priests wanted to have Jesus crucified in the first place? Only SATAN would DENY the crucifixion. Jesus said-referring to his crucifixion- that SATAN would be DEFEATED at the cross: “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world (SATAN) be CAST OUT. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth [crucified], will draw all men unto me.” John 12:31-32 If you DENY the crucified Jesus, you will die in your sins (John 8:7). It's a decision between eternity in heaven or in hell. SATAN hates the power of the crucifixion because it is FOR us and not AGAINST us. It is the power of salvation. ‘From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” But He [Jesus] turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, SATAN! Why? Because Jesus knew the details and purpose of his crucifixion in advance. Jesus stated that he was going to "lay down his life for his friends". According to the law of Moses, without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Jesus says, "just as the Son of Man did not come to be SERVED, but to SERVE, and to give His LIFE a ransom for MANY.” Matthew 20:28. Jesus is the SERVANT of Isaiah 53 of the Jewish scripture (written long before the Greek, Rome, Paul and Nicea) who bared his soul unto DEATH and bore the SINS OF MANY. Isaiah 53:12 Tanakh Jewish Bible Soon after his resurrection, Jesus was seen by all his disciples and more than 500 others and spent 40 days with them before ascending to heaven in the same manner that he shall descend to judge the world. Not even the 5 pillars of Islam will save you, for in reality the Hajj of the Hajr e aswad (which "expiates sins") and the takbir "Allahu Akbar" to it is IDOLATROUS, an ABOMINATION and BLASPHEMOUS to the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Leviticus 26:1) 'Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who PIERCED Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7
Shaykh Hasan Ali is right: the Quran doesn't say that Isa died at the cross (Allah took his soul), he was laid in a cave, and then Allah returned his soul. That are declarations of the Bible about Jesus. But: isn't the Bible Allah's word? _"O you who believe! Believe in God and His messenger, and the Book He sent down to His messenger, and the Book He sent down before. Whoever rejects God, His angels, His Books, His messengers, and the Last Day, has strayed far in error."_ (Sura 4:136). So is Sheikh Imran Hosein wrong when he claims that Allah took his soul and returned it and therefore the life of Isa (on earth!) didn't really end by cruzifixion? It's in the words of Allah!!! And that fits perfectly with Sura 19:33, where Jesus states: _"So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive."_ He knew about this: first his death on the cross (when Allah took his soul), and then his resurrection (when Allah returned his soul). A resurrection without a death is nonsense. Could Isa say such a nonsense and could Allah confirm this nonsense by writing it in his book? But if you insist on this interpretation of substitution you will get massive problems: Then you will get contradictions in the words of Allah. 1. About the most important events in Isa's life: Did he never die, has he never been resurrected but raised up alive (as this interpretation of Sura 4:157-158 demands)? Or did he die and was resurrected again (as Sura 19:33 clearly states) and raised up after this happened? 2. About the previous revelations of Allah: Is Sura 4:136 right (and Sura 10:94, and Sura 2:146-147, ...)? Then Allah had sent down a revelation before the Quran, and that clearly means the Bible. And when the Bible is Allah's word, then Isa / Jesus has been cruzified and was resurrected to live on earth until he was raised up. So what is more likely: contradictions in Allah's words or a misinterpretation of his words by human beings?

The brother in the video completely misunderstood Sheikh Imran Hussain when he mentioned death and Allah taking the soul and returning it. Sheikh Imran Hussain said that death is defined when Allah takes a person’s soul and doesn’t return it. Can Allah return a person’s soul? Of course! In many cases people’s souls are returned and therefore they don’t die. When Sheikh Imran Hussain said “School boy return and learn the Qu’ran” he was trying to say that some people when they’re about to die have their souls returned and get to live on like a second chance and for these people to take this second chance and learn and follow Islam through the Qu’ran. The brother in the video disagrees with Sheikh Imran Hussian about taking Jesus’s body off the cross and putting it in a cave and sealing it off… That part I agree with. Sheikh Imran Hussain gave an explanation without any reference to the Qu’ran. He basically said what he thinks is the situation but there is no textual basis. When doing something like that, you have to state very clearly that this is your thought and not directly from the Qu’ran or Hadith. Sheikh Imran Hussain is usually very clear and gives references to everything so this is surprising. However, he is very passionate and very angry at people for not being critical of the Qu’ran and I think this is one situation where his anger got the better of him. In the end Allah knows best so unless this matter males or breaks your beliefs, say Allah hu alam and move on. We will know what happened when Jesus returns inshaAllah.

Friend, Jesus Christ clearly stated that anyone who DENIES his crucifixion is inspired by SATAN. This is found in the Gospels which are confirmed (if you believe the Qur’an) as the eternal and unalterable (incorruptible) word of Allah and which Christians had with them and should judge themselves by. (QS 18:27, 5:43, 5:47, 3:3-4, 6:115 and 7:157). It's the Qur'ans dilemma! Does the Qur'an know WHY the Jewish high priests wanted to have Jesus crucified in the first place? Only SATAN would DENY the crucifixion. Jesus said-referring to his crucifixion- that SATAN would be DEFEATED at the cross: “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world (SATAN) be CAST OUT. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth [crucified], will draw all men unto me.” John 12:31-32 If you DENY the crucified Jesus, you will die in your sins (John 8:7). It's a decision between eternity in heaven or in hell. SATAN hates the power of the crucifixion because it is FOR us and not AGAINST us. It is the power of salvation. ‘From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” But He [Jesus] turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, SATAN! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:23 Any attempt to "save" Jesus from crucifixion would have been SATANIC. Besides, Jesus stated that he could call 12 legions of angels (72 000) to save him from the crucifixion by the Romans if he so wanted but he would not since scripture had to be fulfilled! (Matthew 26:53) According to Jesus, any person, book or authority which DENIES his crucifixion is of SATAN, offensive and is not mindful of the things of God. The same is true of QS 4:157, which strangely comes 6 CENTURIES AFTER THE EVENT and DENIES-against the testimony of Mary the Mother of Jesus and the disciple John who were with Jesus while he was on the cross. Why? Because Jesus knew the details and purpose of his crucifixion in advance. Jesus stated that he was going to "lay down his life for his friends". According to the law of Moses, without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Jesus says, "just as the Son of Man did not come to be SERVED, but to SERVE, and to give His LIFE a ransom for MANY.” Matthew 20:28. Jesus is the SERVANT of Isaiah 53 of the Jewish scripture (written long before the Greek, Rome, Paul and Nicea) who bared his soul unto DEATH and bore the SINS OF MANY. Isaiah 53:12 Tanakh Jewish Bible Soon after his resurrection, Jesus was seen by all his disciples and more than 500 others and spent 40 days with them before ascending to heaven in the same manner that he shall descend to judge the world. When Christianity is true, God came to us in human form to redeem us, and that show the love and grace of God, Islam denying this love of God for His creation is one of the bigger blasphemies in Islam. The Sheikh is on the right path of redeeming Islam, hopefully he continues his search for Christ.

I have some feeling that sometimes Muslims try to fit in into Christianity interpretations to satify Christians (this is not building a true loving bridges based on monoteism, rather falling into their trap of contradiction). Crucified & crucifixed has different meaning. To be crucifix means you have been out on a cross/ hung and (not) die. The individual is in a state of coma or near death from the torture method of the cross and still alive. To be crucified means you have put on the cross and (die) from your torture/wounds. The Quran says: They did not kill him nor was he ((crucified)) (but it was made to appear so) My itijehad (as I am entitled to one as recommended by the prophet saw) is that it was made to “appear so” meaning Isa (as) was in a state of coma but Allah swt later returned the soul in the cave in the same manner as when a individual is in a deep coma at a hospital then Allah swt raised Isa (as) body and spirit to the heavens for a while. A individual in a coma is not considered dead by the hospital staff. My question is how can Isa(as) return in his second coming if he died on the cross because every soul must taste death.. (my response to the Christians) To say another person took isa (as) appearance is false and is not a character of a merciful Allah to punish a innocent person that no body has truly identified in the first place. At every place the Quran states the nabis and rasools were tauntingly asked by their people : ok when you claim to be what you are, then tell us when will the day of qiyamah come. I have watched many of Sheikh Imran’s talks, he has taught me a lot about the evils of interest, how riba has destroyed many nations, including Muslim nations. He is popular because he makes it clear that interest is haram, that interest mortgages and loans are not permitted for the true believers. Most Muslim scholars won’t talk about interest or the Dajjal, hence the Shiekh is very well respected. I disagree with his opinion on the crucifixion however, he does not mind if people disagree with him. I hope he comes back to to classical interpretation, as the matter is clearly addressed and interpreted by the early Muslims. May Allah forgive us and guide us, ameen.

Just listen to the clip and you will see how arrogantly he called those who differed as "schoolboys" and other terms specially at 5:15 in the clip. And this is not only in this clip his other clip also has this kind of terminology used by him. That is not how you criticise someone if your view is different unless what that person say is heretical in nature. May Allah save us.

@@shadabkhan-sy3sp I’m not saying I agree with everything he says; however, he’s 100% correct when it comes to interest banking and mortgages. Many scholars will make mistakes, but to make huge mistakes, often totally against Islamic teachings, is irresponsible and misleading the people. If he’s calling their acts or works pathetic, then that’s between him and Allah. I agree in that he shouldn’t direct comments at an individual. I guess it also depends on the scholarship of the individual, as many don’t have knowledge, they side with culture or secular beliefs.

Sheikh Imran is exactly saying what Quran is saying. They did not crucify him means they could not kill him by crucifixion. It simply says that they could not kill him becos he came back to life.
Allah subhanatallah blessed us with quran and he has also taught us not to critique others interpretation. The sheik is a no doubt a knowledgeable man but Allah has given us a brain to learn ourselves. It gives us deep and different understanding. May Allah reward you and the Shaykh too. As a student of Shaykh IHN, according to this particular video you referenced, both you and Shaykh have not provided any evidence suggesting "HOW" Isa AS was saved from "killing and crucifixion" other than what the Qur'an has provided. I would hold your argument to be beneficial and of great value since you've relied on the companions position. However, you never read any portion of the book to us other than showing us the book which is not sufficient to accept your scholarship. Quote the book name, page no and author. That way, we can do our own personal research. It would be better even if you can provide any evidence from the Prophetic traditions because this is a huge subject that is mentioned in the Qur'an which I believe the Prophet SAW is most knowledgeable about. In addition, if I may refer you the book written by Shaykh IHN: Jerusalem in the Qur'an, he argued there that Isa AS was not crucified because the implication of that would mean he's rejected by Allah which according to the Torah, anyone crucified is rejected by Allah. I believe that verse should be Deuteronomy 18:18, I apologize if I have misquoted that verse of the book itself. But I am certain to have read this from one of his book. I ask forgiveness for my shortcomings. Lastly, I am not here to defend Shaykh IHN or rebuke you, I just want the truth. We must accept the fact that from what I have mentioned about his argument in his book which is also slightly in conflict with his position in this video could be perhaps he's old, more so he's human and can make mistake which he normally say that often in his lectures. All in all, I remain with the Qur'an that he was neither 'killed nor crucified'. Any other explanation that contradict this is not accepted by me even though I am only a student of knowledge. The theory that someone was crucified in his place couldn't have been silent in the Qur'an. So, I will only accept what came directly from the Qur'an and the Prophet SAW on this subject. The companions are great without exception, but they are also limited in their own capacity. And we cannot always say they know it all because the Qur'an is timeless. Therefore, it is not possible for them to have complete explanation of what's in the Qur'an in all age and time which is why we need more scholars to look into this matters critically. If they do know all that's in the Qur'an perfectly without error, what that means is that the Qur'an can only be understood in the light of what they say. So many things that were not clearly understood in their time is more clearer today. Allah knows best. It was not to be understood that Allah cannot return the soul rather, it was to be understood that Allah can take the soul and return it. So per your explanation, which of the two is right? Is it that, the face of Isaah Alaihi Salam was put on a Jew or was his face put on one of the hawaariyuun? Which of the two is correct? Is it the Prophet (Salla Allaah u Alaihi wa sallam) who gave these two explanations? As for the definition of death given by Sheikh Imran n hosein, refer to the Qur'an, Surah Az-Zumar, 39: 42.
When the matter is clear from Quran or Hadith then there is no difference of opinion. Multiple opinions are only produced when the evidence can be interpreted in different ways and that is why there are 4 main schools of thought, each one has its opinions and supporting evidence. If there was a clear answer regarding which one was right or 'the strongest' then the sahaba or other pious predecessors would not have differences in opinions and would have all followed that 'right' or 'strongest' opinion. So essentially we do not know for certain which one is correct however those 2 opinions hold a lot of weight and DEFINITELY have evidence for them. Only Allah Most High knows best.
More simple explanation is that Jews thought or presumed that he died ( soul was not taken) on cross but he didn't. In todays world also doctors declare someone dead using latest technologies ( ECG, steathoscope ) but the person declared dead wakes alive
Now the assumption that Isa never died is again an Assumption itself and worst still, it was made 600 after Isa's life time by a man known for marrying a child , his adopted son's wife, waging war and many such dumb deeds. You can fool some people some of the time but can't fool all of the people all the time.

Iv spent almost 20 years working daily and in great detail regarding the Prophet’s sirah PBUH & as such needed to dive deep into many Quran tafsir and hadith sharh works. My humble assessment about shiekh imran is that he is inshallah smart and sincere but unfortunately lacks important tools regarding Quran and Hadith including good arabic . I agree with you Sheikh, I got the same conclusion when I research this subject. But after I studied the methodology used by Sheikh Imran Husein for studying The Qur'an, I accept his view on this. The very fundamental problem I think is located on the methodology, so that's why there are several different interpretations on this subject. It will be wise if Sheikh Yasir give some comments on the methodology for study Qur'an used by Sheikh Imran Husein, because many of Sheikh Imran Husein opinions differ with mainstream ulama is caused by his methodology. But I'm very happy that many scholars in Islam right now is put some of their intentions on Sheikh Imran Husein Lecturers.

Shaykh Hasan Ali is right: the Quran doesn't say that Isa died at the cross (Allah took his soul), he was laid in a cave, and then Allah returned his soul. That are declarations of the Bible about Jesus.
But: isn't the Bible Allah's word? _"O you who believe! Believe in God and His messenger, and the Book He sent down to His messenger, and the Book He sent down before. Whoever rejects God, His angels, His Books, His messengers, and the Last Day, has strayed far in error."_ (Sura 4:136).
So is Sheikh Imran Hosein wrong when he claims that Allah took his soul and returned it and therefore the life of Isa (on earth!) didn't really end by cruzifixion? It's in the words of Allah!!!
And that fits perfectly with Sura 19:33, where Jesus states: _"So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive."_ He knew about this: first his death on the cross (when Allah took his soul), and then his resurrection (when Allah returned his soul). A resurrection without a death is nonsense. Could Isa say such a nonsense and could Allah confirm this nonsense by writing it in his book?
But if you insist on this interpretation of substitution you will get massive problems: Then you will get contradictions in the words of Allah.
1. About the most important events in Isa's life: Did he never die, has he never been resurrected but raised up alive (as this interpretation of Sura 4:157-158 demands)? Or did he die and was resurrected again (as Sura 19:33 clearly states) and raised up after this happened?
2. About the previous revelations of Allah: Is Sura 4:136 right (and Sura 10:94, and Sura 2:146-147, ...)? Then Allah had sent down a revelation before the Quran, and that clearly means the Bible. And when the Bible is Allah's word, then Isa / Jesus has been cruzified and was resurrected to live on earth until he was raised up.
So what is more likely: contradictions in Allah's words or a misinterpretation of his words by human beings?

In many cases people’s souls are returned and therefore they don’t die. When Sheikh Imran Hussain said “School boy return and learn the Qu’ran” he was trying to say that some people when they’re about to die have their souls returned and get to live on like a second chance and for these people to take this second chance and learn and follow Islam through the Qu’ran. The brother in the video disagrees with Sheikh Imran Hussian about taking Jesus’s body off the cross and putting it in a cave and sealing it off… That part I agree with. Sheikh Imran Hussain gave an explanation without any reference to the Qu’ran. He basically said what he thinks is the situation but there is no textual basis. When doing something like that, you have to state very clearly that this is your thought and not directly from the Qu’ran or Hadith. Sheikh Imran Hussain is usually very clear and gives references to everything so this is surprising. However, he is very passionate and very angry at people for not being critical of the Qu’ran and I think this is one situation where his anger got the better of him. In the end Allah knows best so unless this matter males or breaks your beliefs, say Allah hu alam and move on. We will know what happened when Jesus returns inshaAllah.

I have some feeling that sometimes Muslims try to fit in into Christianity interpretations to satify Christians (this is not building a true loving bridges based on monoteism, rather falling into their trap of contradiction). Sometimes when you spend time with Christians it happens. May Allah protect us. Lakum deenukum waliya deen. We should hold onto the Quran and Sunnah as the Prophet saw told us. Crucified & crucifixed has different meaning.
To be crucifix means you have been out on a cross/ hung and (not) die. The individual is in a state of coma or near death from the torture method of the cross and still alive.

I have watched many of Sheikh Imran’s talks, he has taught me a lot about the evils of interest, how riba has destroyed many nations, including Muslim nations. He is popular because he makes it clear that interest is haram, that interest mortgages and loans are not permitted for the true believers. Most Muslim scholars won’t talk about interest or the Dajjal, hence the Shiekh is very well respected. I disagree with his opinion on the crucifixion however, he does not mind if people disagree with him. I hope he comes back to to classical interpretation, as the matter is clearly addressed and interpreted by the early Muslims. May Allah forgive us and guide us, ameen.

Many scholars will make mistakes, but to make huge mistakes, often totally against Islamic teachings, is irresponsible and misleading the people. If he’s calling their acts or works pathetic, then that’s between him and Allah. I agree in that he shouldn’t direct comments at an individual. I guess it also depends on the scholarship of the individual, as many don’t have knowledge, they side with culture or secular beliefs.

Allah subhanatallah blessed us with quran and he has also taught us not to critique others interpretation. The sheik is a no doubt a knowledgeable man but Allah has given us a brain to learn ourselves. Please take everyone's views and explanation but make your own mind up using the Quran and Sunah and knowledge as you will nor be able to blame anyone on the day of judgement.
I think these matters r trivial & should not b stressed upon . most important is that Ummah must remain united & obey simple Commandments of Allah swt as practiced by the Prophet ( pbuh ) . period

mashaAllah this is a very balanced and clear presentation by Shaykh Yasir. Indeed an important highlight mentioned by the Shaykh is at the end where he says that if 1400 years years of scholarship and scholar did not say certain things and someone now is saying something different indeed this is very dangerous and is something to be wary of.
Not necessarily medical scholars and scholars of astrology and science from 2,000 years ago they've had their own theories scholars and scientists of today have proven them wrong in many occasions it can happen it's possible they were human too they were not supernatural with super intellect foreign type of intellect that no other human could reach after them or have a difference of opinion to theirs on a certain subject.

So Sheikh Hassan Ali, with your statement that Isa did not die on the cross because Allah changed his form to that of an innocent person who was about to be crucified, it means that Allah is sinful. How could Allah kill innocent man.... Not even the Koran knows who was crucified. God did not reveal who the innocent man who was transfigured into Isa was. Allah is not omniscient. Many Muslim scholar have many interpretations who was the innocent crucified.
Show me a single prophet who has claimed
1) authority to forgive sins
2) authority to judge man
3) to be seated on the right hand of God.

Let me first appreciate the fact that you commented on this subject. I have always wanted to see a different explanation of any subject which Shaykh IHN has commented. It gives us deep and different understanding. May Allah reward you and the Shaykh too.
As a student of Shaykh IHN, according to this particular video you referenced, both you and Shaykh have not provided any evidence suggesting "HOW" Isa AS was saved from "killing and crucifixion" other than what the Qur'an has provided.
I would hold your argument to be beneficial and of great value since you've relied on the companions position. However, you never read any portion of the book to us other than showing us the book which is not sufficient to accept your scholarship. Quote the book name, page no and author. That way, we can do our own personal research. It would be better even if you can provide any evidence from the Prophetic traditions because this is a huge subject that is mentioned in the Qur'an which I believe the Prophet SAW is most knowledgeable about.
In addition, if I may refer you the book written by Shaykh IHN: Jerusalem in the Qur'an, he argued there that Isa AS was not crucified because the implication of that would mean he's rejected by Allah which according to the Torah, anyone crucified is rejected by Allah. I believe that verse should be Deuteronomy 18:18, I apologize if I have misquoted that verse of the book itself. But I am certain to have read this from one of his book. I ask forgiveness for my shortcomings.
Lastly, I am not here to defend Shaykh IHN or rebuke you, I just want the truth. We must accept the fact that from what I have mentioned about his argument in his book which is also slightly in conflict with his position in this video could be perhaps he's old, more so he's human and can make mistake which he normally say that often in his lectures.
All in all, I remain with the Qur'an that he was neither 'killed nor crucified'. Any other explanation that contradict this is not accepted by me even though I am only a student of knowledge. The theory that someone was crucified in his place couldn't have been silent in the Qur'an. So, I will only accept what came directly from the Qur'an and the Prophet SAW on this subject. The companions are great without exception, but they are also limited in their own capacity. And we cannot always say they know it all because the Qur'an is timeless. Therefore, it is not possible for them to have complete explanation of what's in the Qur'an in all age and time which is why we need more scholars to look into this matters critically. If they do know all that's in the Qur'an perfectly without error, what that means is that the Qur'an can only be understood in the light of what they say. So many things that were not clearly understood in their time is more clearer today.
Allah knows best. I pray that He Allah be with you, the Shaykh and the audience who are in search of the truth about this subject.

Is it not written in the Quran that it was made look like Christ was crucified and killed but it was not but someone else instead? 1. Who was that someone and 2. Doesn't this make Allah a liar? Who would want to believe in a god who deceived jews & Christians?
Also, why would Quran say Jews & Christians are the worst of creatures & then say, "they have nothing to fear"?

This is very IMPORTANT to address because it’s misleading people. It’s creating confusion and doubts in the mind of the masses about the book of Allah. It was not to be understood that Allah cannot return the soul rather, it was to be understood that Allah can take the soul and return it.
So per your explanation, which of the two is right? Is it that, the face of Isaah Alaihi Salam was put on a Jew or was his face put on one of the hawaariyuun? Which of the two is correct? Is it the Prophet (Salla Allaah u Alaihi wa sallam) who gave these two explanations?
As for the definition of death given by Sheikh Imran n hosein, refer to the Qur'an, Surah Az-Zumar, 39: 42.
When the matter is clear from Quran or Hadith then there is no difference of opinion.
Multiple opinions are only produced when the evidence can be interpreted in different ways and that is why there are 4 main schools of thought, each one has its opinions and supporting evidence. If there was a clear answer regarding which one was right or 'the strongest' then the sahaba or other pious predecessors would not have differences in opinions and would have all followed that 'right' or 'strongest' opinion.
So essentially we do not know for certain which one is correct however those 2 opinions hold a lot of weight and DEFINITELY have evidence for them. Only Allah Most High knows best.

The Islam Umma needs to create a big internet plat form where when you make a claim, you then go on that plat form to defend you point of view.
More simple explanation is that Jews thought or presumed that he died ( soul was not taken) on cross but he didn't. In todays world also doctors declare someone dead using latest technologies ( ECG, steathoscope ) but the person declared dead wakes alive
Now the assumption that Isa never died is again an Assumption itself and worst still, it was made 600 after Isa's life time by a man known for marrying a child , his adopted son's wife, waging war and many such dumb deeds. You can fool some people some of the time but can't fool all of the people all the time.

@@bdh2564 Sheikh Imarn contradicts This ayat. Imran says that Angel took his soul and when He was put in the cave then Allah put soul back into his body. According to Christian tradition Jesus was in Cave for 3 days and 3 nights. That means that Jesus was killed and brought back to life after 3 days and 3 nights in the cave. This means that Allah did not say the truth , Euzubillah, when He said "They killed Him not".

Certainly Sheikh Imran Hussain did not say he was crucified. He clearly said it made it appear to them, meaning he was not either crucified nor he was killed. It is clear that a body was crucified and was buried surely this was not Isa (AS), from the narrative we all agreed that after 3 days he appeared to his people. This is where critical thinking comes in. Do not try to put words in Sheikh Imran Hussain's mouth.

Very valid points indeed. He is no exception all humans are prone to mistakes and error.
Imran Hosein gives a different interpretation on what actually happened. But then from Islamic point of view... can anybody explain why God wanted to deceive mankind that Jesus was crucified? That deception of God created a new religion (christianity) and God must have known that right? So when I look from the Islamic perspective it does not make sense to me that God made it look like that Jesus was crucified if that was not the case.
