It's crazy how the RUclips algorithm recommended this video to me at the right time! I want to start making silent vlogs to document my life. I have an Android phone so this video is so informative and helpful for me. Thank you!
Google collected so much info about you that they know what you are up to. I got similar video in my recommendations yesterday. I want to start new YT channel and I got offered motivational video how I should start working and stop finding excuses to not to create content. Too busy, tired etc. Its crazy how YT algo knows what I need. Like mind reader
Pro Tip - Always keep your shutter speed double your frame rate to get the cinematic blur which differentiates the pure cinematic feel from the sharp video look. So if you are using 24FPS, keep the shutter speed at 1/50. To manage the light you will need to manipualte the other 2 parameters, ISO and Aperture. You will also need VND filters. Welcome to the rabbit hole of ciematic film making! Best wishes!
What is my opinion: Even though you think that what's you have done until now, which is filming your vlog, and you said you still at amateur level, but hey, for some people who wanna start to be videographer, this is advance level. I mean you know what you need for your phase/level, you don't even use a complicated camera setup for take good videos. Amazing job👌🏻🔥
This video has been incredibly helpful. I've been randomly clicking on "how to film w/phone" videos and most of them are iPhones, or I couldn't retain the information with the way info was portrayed. I had to stop your video at the 6:16min mark to say thank you, because your comparison of frame rates, your examples for white balance ... very digestable! Thank you!
this is such a well produced and thought out video, that's the kind of thing you can feel the creator has put a lot of effort into. Thank you for this, I learned a lot.
Hope, you came into our lives when we needed it the most. You have managed to make it look so easy to film, thank you for your work! I know your channel will grow massively.
As a videographer and photographer, I love your works, your imagination... like it's pure that's all plus the BGmusic, like it's not quiet boring at all.. Love you dear 🫶
So thankful algorithms recommended this video. I just started my RUclips channel without knowing anything and filming with my old Samsung. I hope to improve with these recommendations. ❤
Beautiful! I love the simplicity and serenity that you convey in your films. Such a pleasure. Thank you for the tip re: FPS. I, too, thought the higher the better. You have convinced me to go with 24 FPS for that cinematic quality. ❤️ 🎥
I use my S23 Ultra to film my videos too. But this just made a whole lot of difference in how I will film from here on in. This was a great tutorial and the Macha dessert looks delicious!
I have been thinking about starting my youtube channel for a while now, but haven't done it due to lack of courage and motivation. I often get tangled up thinking about all the technical things involved and so on. This is the first video I watched from your channel, and it feels like the antidote I needed for my slump and demotivation! You made the whole process so simple and straightforward. Maybe it isn't as simple as it looks, but, now I know it need not be as complicated as it is in my head either! Thank you so much for making this video! It's helped me so much 🙏🤗❤
I love your channel so much! I love how minimalistic everything is, the choice of your bg music I hope in future I could do something like this too! you're becoming my inspiration 🌻💛
Thank you for sharing. As a young vlogger I find your videos super helpful! I’m really into capturing the beauty in scenery and day to day life without being in front of the camera constantly. Thank you for the inspiration!
Oh my goodness, this is exactly what i needed, thank you soooo much! Ive been wanting to start a youtube channel but havent found any practical videos that go into how to do it with a phone, for the type of content i wanted to focus on. I love the cinematic, short film vlog style storytelling feel.. if that makes any sense lol. I finally feel like i can take action now. Thanks a ton!🙏🙏 Just subscribed!
Hi, I recently found your channel and fell in love with it straight away. This video sharing your experience is so inspiring! I recently opened my own channel-it's more art and craft-oriented-and I was having some self-doubts because I enjoy peaceful and positive content. But your words at the end of this video really resonated with me. I believe the world needs more of this-slowing down, taking a moment to breathe in, and enjoying life. Those little moments that we might be missing are full of beauty. Thank you! 🌷💖
Thank you for sharing this video. You're well on your way to becoming an awesome filmmaker. Please continue to create more videos like this one, which has garnered many more views than previous videos. ☺️🌹❤️
I'm surprised because I watched this video in one go. You are a great video maker and storyteller. And I'm very happy and grateful to RUclips for recommending your video to me. I wish you a quick growth on RUclips ❤
I am barely starting out myself, and I sometimes do get a little intimidated because I see others barely starting out and they have such amazing content and I wonder why I can't put out stuff like that. But then I remember that this is completely new to me, I've never really made videos before, but I'm learning as I'm going. I have seen videos ages ago of people talking about how they didn't start out good and it takes until like 100 videos I think, lol, to see the results you want to see. It's a fun experience so far. Thank you for this video!
Wow. This is perfect for me to start documenting my life through videos. Been trying to learn creating silent videos that are simple yet memorable. Thank you for sharing, Hope.
Enjoyed your video and picked up a lot of helpful tips. Definitely a style I have limited experience in as I do corporate media…mostly run and gun video event coverages. I share this w the utmost respect and i hope i am not overstepping my suggestion. Id like to suggest paying attention to way you change angles. It sometimes crosses a line which makes the subject or person’s position inconsistent with the previous angle. It can be distracting at times when the focus is on the right and then switched the opposite angle making the focus flipped on the screen even though the focus never changed spots. Like there was a teleport. Ummm for example your subject is crossing the street and you capture the movement going left to right. Then you switch angles and now the same movement is now moving the opposite way even though the subject never changed the direction of the walk. Im sorry if i didn’t explain myself clearly but maybe a video about 180 degree rule will better explain it 😅. I truly enjoyed your content and appreciate the natural human reactions ie discovering the beauty of shooting at 24fps, etc. i will subbed and like. Thanks again,
Bell notification for you. I just came across your channel and I've been thinking about doing this. I haven't gone through all your videos yet but thank you in advance for all the tips and guidance.
This video randomly popped up in my feed today! I actually started making silent nature vlogs just 3 weeks ago, so youtube's algorithm is pretty impressive! I was happy to see how calm and beautifully filmed it was, it really matches the style in filming I enjoy (both to watch and make), so it was such a nice watch! I especially liked the outro, mentioning the importance of noticing the small things around you, and the beauty in it. And also consuming different types of media for inspiration! We have quite similar tastes in movies and series, so that was fun too! I'm looking forward going through more of your videos for inspo 🤍🌿
Thank you so much! I had a chance to take a look at some of your older videos and can see you are a fantastic creator. You have the ability to capture the beauty in day-to-day life in a real, non fussy, non gimmicky way! You gave me the gift of how to set up shots -- no creator (I have ever found) has stopped and shown the basics as you have. So much fun to go back and look at your previous videos and know why thy work. BUT they work because they are you!!
This is such an instructive and well made "how to" video. I love the way you film and edit, and teach. I'm so inspired by your storytelling technique! Oh, is it possible to get the recipe for the delicious matcha cake?!😋
I stumbled across your video because I’ve been thinking about starting RUclips. I love cinematic storytelling but I have no clue what I’m doing or how to start. Your video gave me inspiration and the idea of looking at life in beauty rather than just day to day. I have a dji pocket 2, an old DSLR and an iPhone 13pro. I just don’t know how to see potential.
You can do it! If you don't know where to start, just try shooting small portions of your life first like making coffee/tea and see how you go from there. I think this is less overwhelming than creating a full video.
As an aspiring filmmaker and creator in RUclips, this really got me related especially the part that you didn't know anything about filming and editing and just learned things along the way. I was so much like this as well! stabilizing videos, adding color grade, and using da vinci resolve, it took a lot of time and training just to adapt but it was very well worth it. :)
Thank you for this amazing video. I have been procrastinating about making soap making videos because i haven't known how to put s slow living scene together. this video has answered so many of my questions ❤ thank you so much 🙏
Thank you I found this a very informative video. While most of my vlogs aren't silent I found your suggestions for setting and filming angles to be of particular interest.

@ediffers4298 sorry, I just saw this. It's D5200. My husband bought it 10 years ago!
@POVmauritius no I don't use an external mic but I definitely will eventually.
It's crazy how the RUclips algorithm recommended this video to me at the right time! I want to start making silent vlogs to document my life. I have an Android phone so this video is so informative and helpful for me. Thank you!
