- Several videos captured different moments in which rare volcanic lightning forked across the sky from the ash cloud of the Philippines' Taal volcano on Sunday, Jan. 12.
The eruption of the volcano this weekend and sent large clouds of ash and the often rare type of lightning has burst into the sky multiple times.
The volcano's activity has sent tens of thousands of people fleeing the area with experts warning the eruption could get worse.
Timelapse video also captured ash spewing into the air over the span of five hours on Monday as concerns continue to mount, however there have been no reported casualties or major damage so far.

YES totally. Especially because it looks yellowish like Ghidorah's lightning. I'm not even a Godzilla fan but the 2014 movie and KOTM had IMO the best visual effects ever. In KOTM the monsters felt like unstoppable mythical beasts.
For someone who used to think Godzilla was cheesy AF, KOTM blew me away and became one of my favorite movies of all time.

Volcanic lightning is not rare. It happens during all major eruptions.
AT THE CORE not all. Record shows only Taal, Mt Etna & Mt Vesuvius had this rare event.
