Somethings to consider, make sure drivers are up to date. taiko sometimes needs a sync of some sort to avoid screen tearing. Virus scanners, Xbox app, random monitoring softwares are known to make games drop. Best would be to monitor processes as you play to see if something is maxing out cpu). make sure vsync is off in fortnite as that will limit your fps to 60fps (60hz monitor).
For the framerate drop happening in OSU, force start the game in integrated graphics on a laptop. Have had issues using dGPU also, somewhat fixed it when using iGPU and not dGPU. Seems counter-intuitive, but it works for me
its probably an optimus laptop which is an nvidia driver thing that switches between nvidia and intel integrated. the only way i found to force nvidia is to use an external monitor over hdmi or displayport. if you can't do that then try looking through both the intel graphics panel and the nvidia graphics panel and disable anything that might be causing lag

Performance dips, maybe it was the Windows Update's fault. I don't have any performance dips since the Fall Creator's update but after the April Update, my PC dips harder than my grades.
Mirage maybe you go to your Nvidia control panel and set your processor to the gx1080.Apparent the recommended settings are not optimal for games.I learned this from trying to fix the frame rate issue on crash bandicoot.Hope it helps
Hi this is 9 months late, but make sure your power settings is on high performance and then you can go into battery advanced options and make sure your CPU is able to run at 100%
