@@andrewboxall2945 I hgave just rewatched this video and Spurs got title by 1 goal difference, and I have payed attention to the last game, Liverpool won 1-0, Spurs won 3-1 :D
they are losing massive money (especially during the first years) because of how taxes and finances work in the game :/ That's why it's better to edit sponsorship in pre game editor (for example copy man utd sponsors and paste to wanted clubs with mass edit)
Is that true? I've only noticed taxes applying to income and/or profit. None of these teams are making any money and they're sure as heck not profitable. Then again, I don't play in England so maybe it's different?
@@Remianen its because the game bases taxes off how much money a club has v the last year... as he's added 1b they're effectively getting taxed on the entire 1b as the amounts would be in the few millions before if they were lucky
It would be a fun experiment to use the editor to give some clubs perfect managers and directors , and boards, to see what the AI could do with a perfect backroom as well as cash. The lower clubs will always be limited in that the chairmen often have lower stats so may be inclined to not invest in players or facilities, even if they have huge budgets.
Hi Tom! I love this idea, however you forget that equity from day 1 isnt as efficient as same equity gained over time. Since FFP is based on income per season. I suggest using game editor or FMRTE to give a sponsorship of 1Billion over ~ time length :)
Hi Tom! Just suggestion for next experiment. Instead of giving Vanarama National League teams $1B money, how about giving them perfect facilities (20 on every facilities) instead? Also maybe some money to keep their facilities alive for many years too
Tom, Love your content and these experiment videos are great! Are you also planning on doing another save series this year, like the Aberdeen and Wrexham series? I've seen the videos from your Lincoln one. I half miss the daily or bi-daily videos of that nature
When clubs have a huge amount of money the board will often take a big chunk and put it toward 'investments to secure the future of the club'. I had it when using editor to do obscene transfers and the board took over £2b out of the coffers in this way. I don't know what the impact is in game but I suspect that the club can inject capital more readily later on if in financial difficulty
Pretty sure if your club has got enough money, the board will invest some of it into a "future fund", that will be used in case of potential financial instability. That's probably what's happened here.
Late to this, and as a Wealdstone fan (we do exist), I'm guessing the early money was spent on upgrading facilities (we rent the ground), moving from being a part-time club (currently the highest placed one in the pyramid) and making low-wage signings rather than having to rely on loans and selling our best players for beans (apart from Jack Cook who doesn't need the money and is a club legend already). Makes sense.
I looked at the starting teams and one team that appears to have gone below the national leauge is Halifax FC or I'm missing them in a higher leauge honestly don't know but I wonder how they somehow never went up but infact went down
when you do these experiments, when you click on a club screen then history why don't you go to landmarks and click on the facilities tab which shows the history of facility upgrades and stadium capacity upgrades also under landmarks if you click on financs it shows if the club was taken over or if funding was scaled down?
I am wondering what would happen, if the "worst" team (Chirk AAA) in europes lowest reputated league (Welsh CD Cymru North) playable in the game, was given state of the art facilities and lots of money
A few months ago I recommended a little series right before the World Cup “what countries are one perfect player away from winning the World Cup?” And you said you may do it. Think we could see a few videos of that? :)
I feel like the programming has certain things in place that somehow limit clubs from blowing the doors off, like, why wouldn't they get new stadiums the next year?
Why do you always give indidivual clubs the money when it comes to leagues? I was wondering if there was an option to give the whole league an insane tv deal? Thanks, love the content!
There is a way to do that (I only found out recently) but you're fiddling around with the advanced league rules in the pre game editor, this method is quicker and easier for others to do themselves if they want to have a go themselves
@@TomFM You can also give individual clubs sponsor money in the pre game editor(just selecting the team you want in the editor and editing their details). It is easier than advanced rules. It even makes the club believe they are in a safer position as the money are already set to come back at the end of the season.(though I have only tested it in previous FM manager. I don't know if FM23 is the same)
Interesting to see but I think most of these teams got financial regulation or taxed a lot of money after they had a lot of money. Surely if no financial fair play and taxes these teams could get better. Also the game sometimes forgetting that there are teams which got chance to get better and still sticking with the base behaviour. Like the salaries which is too high for nothing. Basically the AI cannot understand the standard economy and always gives a high salary to the players and staff members for nothing. I am always giving my players the possible lowest salaries and raise it only if I see results but not giving them horrible amount of salaries. Sadly the developers does not checks the ai and how it's works with salaries and transfers.
so the biggest take away for long term success is to invest into training facilities, youth facilities, and youth recruitment? What are the most important attributes this year for getting wonderkids coming out of your youth academy?
Could you try giving them all in this league perfect players. Every team. See if that will completely change the entire premier League and champions league
So strange for me watching this channel as there are a lot of lower league experiments and as a result i see a lot of my local clubs mentioned, honestly didn't know (apart from Aldershot) that they were so famous
The sharp drop in finances in the first season is income tax. To avoid that, I guess you'd have to add the whole 1000 million through the pre-game editor. The amount of teams in the Championship shows that the AI might be a little better now. MIGHT.
Whenever I put loads of money in the club, eventually the owner takes it out to 'invest for the future'. I don't know if that impacts the clubs future or if it just gets removed from the game though
Bromley is close to palace as both are near Croydon with palace in selhurst and Bromley near Croydon but are they local rivals because it says they aren't but should they 🤔
Good video and love the content but I have a question. What’s the purpose of your like target? I get that you want that many likes for the algorithm and to boost your video but what does it do for us as viewers? If we were to gain an additional video of some sort if we hit the target I believe viewers would be far more likely to give a like. Or say that you’ll upload a certain amount of videos in a week if we do so. Just seems like in this videos example you’ve just said I want this without giving us a reason to achieve it
Every year. Every year you do this experiment and every year, the result is the same: the AI is stupid. With a billion dollars/pounds/euro, any of us could take a club from the nether regions of football (down where your top striker is 5'4, 315lbs and smokes a pack a day) to the top tier and win it, in far less than 50 years. I'm talking eight deep at all positions with a youth team that could win the 2nd tier *_outright_* . And we'd probably have more than half the money left!
Now the editor is out, there will be a ton of experiments coming out!
Let me know what you would like to see 👇
Haaland Vs Mbappe if they were both at the same club, who would do better.
Make the Greenlandic league, give every club 1 billion pounds and perfect facilities and 200 YR for the country, sim 100 years
Give a lower league team a full team of perfect 20s scouts, see if they recruit wisely enough to become dominant
give each player ability 1
Make a 16 year old player with 1 CA and every attribute at 1. Put the PA at 200, and simulate their career
I am really interested in the fact that EPL in the last season has 10 Europe competition places, 6 of them are in champions league, insane.

I believe the salaries were bloated because the players wouldn't want to play at that level otherwise, essentially trading prestige for money.

you should give all vanarama north and south teams all facilities to their fullest potential
Should of done every team except for Wrexham.

Wait, Cory Matthews' best friend took over Wrexham from R&R?
Aa a southend fan I'd say the owner probably took most of that half billion for himself.
