Well, I for one think it was indeed stunning, Mr Walk (or may I call you Gimbal? 😀) - seen pictures and heard it was lovely, but stunning is what springs to my mind - there are several other superlatives . . . That 'Harry Potter' house was incredible ! Some of the carvings in the woodwork around the town is fantastic, such brilliant workmanship 💯 If I'm ever down that way again I shall visit. Many thanks for the walkabout! Oh and I just loved that man with the long white beard sitting next to the telephone box - straight out of Rumplestiltskin - ha ha 😁 💯✔👍🤩 Oh and I can't believe you and others thought there were too many cars !!!! Go to London - THERE be cars !!
What an amazing place.. it's more like a "Model Village." Couldn't resist having a look as I was pen-pals with a guy from here in the early 70s. Thank you so much.
Imagine this in black and white with no cars or wheely bins etc, a few horse driven carts, wow flash back in time. What a beautiful village, thanks for this ^_^
Didn't you meet Frodo Baggins ? The tiny front doors means that the whole village is populated by Hobbits. There aren't many people around, because Hobbits come out after sunset. That's based on my own field observations.

We visited from Australia and were blown away with all the old buildings amazing place my wife’s family came from Smarden a pretty village in Kent might be worth filming I know she would love to see it on your channel
A delightful place indeed , I went here on a school trip in the 1970s , it could even have the largest amount of timber framed Tudor buildings in whole of the UK
What a beautiful change from the pretty seaside towns. Why do they paint the timber on the outside of some buildings with what looks like white wash? I like the different coloured paint and different styles. Eg render with timber, brick work with timber. Such a lovely day to get lost in. Thank you for another interesting video.
Such a beautiful old village, love the house and garden at 22:50, amazing!. Definitely one of the most beautiful villages in England, you should film around the cotswolds too (if you haven't already) i went to Bourton on the water and Stow on the Wold a couple of years ago both very beautiful too, you should also check out Southwold in Suffolk, a small seaside town.
My father, John Martin, enlisted in the Army Air Corps (1942), age 18, and served as a gunner and radio operator on B-17s and B-24s. He was assigned to the 8th Air Force (487th Bomb Group / 387th BS) in England and flew 35 combat missions over Europe. Including one shown as "SECRET" on his papers. He had left the service at the end of the war and worked as TV/Radio engineer. He was called back to duty for the Korean conflict but didn’t have to deploy and stayed with the new US Air Force. He retired after 26 years of active duty. He never in 20 plus years talked about missions. The only event from that time was: “The crew went to a local zoo on a leave day. They were surprised to see monkeys in the cages. Some of the crew had alcoholic beverages with them. They spent quite a bit of time in getting the monkeys drunk!” Thanks for providing wonderful and impressive videos of that area. I am sure he enjoyed his time visiting the village. Regards
Excellent record, Brilliant sunshine, Frame at 2.25 of the Swan, was THE most famous, appearing on many Calendars etc What of the famous 'CROOKED HOUSE' of Nursery Rhyme Fame? 'there was a crooked man who walked a crooked mile ( lived in a crooked house etc. on the R/hand side heading for the SWAN. Perhaps next time.
Lovely buildings, beautifully preserved but I would love to see this village in Summer, with greenery, flowers, etc., as it looked a little bland. I think there are many other villages equally as pretty, but this one probably has the most medieval buildings.
Totally agree that Lavenham is very beautiful but for someone who is in Lavenham every week I take it for granted. In my experience working with many residents of this village I find them unfriendly and unwelcoming. Apologies for the negativity. Great video 👍👍👍
The actor Vincent Price filmed a scene from the film Witchfinder General in front of the Guildhall. He played the part of the famous Matthew Hopkins the Witchfinder General during the English civil war, he travelled East Anglia torturing and burning woman who he thought were witches.

Will definitely do that when I go back in a few weeks! For this one I didn't do any research or look anything up I just jumped out of the car, pressed record and went filming
I have a suggestion. Music. The audio of your town videos have the rumble of traffic and it sounds disruptive to the peace and beauty of the scenes you wonderfully show. Your videos are flawless and take us with you. I would just replace all the traffic with sensitive subtle background music. Unobtrusive classical music might suit. Chopin or Vivaldi. Or ask a friend to compose some, maybe run a competition to get peoples musicianship showcased. Lovely buildings. You make me want to visit there. And Tintagel. Thankyou.
