This video brings back memories when I was stationed at RAF Station Bentwaters (1958 to 1962). The four wonderful years I spent in Suffolk, East Anglia, is where many American service members were stationed during WWII & thereafter. While there I lived in Felixstowe where I still have friends & frequently visited after my military service in England ended.

Wow , that is really cool . Electronic music engineer and music producer Brian Eno is from around those parts ... I think the person who mentioned it was confused cuz they said he was from Woodbridge , Melton as if Woodbridge is a section of Melton .

The reason for so many medieval houses still seen in Lavenham is because it was once a centre for wealthy wool merchants, when wool was of prime importance.
When this started to fade and the rich moved away ,the people left were too poor to do as other places and pull down and rebuild in a more modern fashion , so they stayed in the existing ones .
Of course, it`s to our benefit now ,as in the UK such places are prised and preserved.

Another film that featured Lavenham was The Witchfinder General in which the town center I believe was used in a witch burning scene. Ooh good question. So in most I think you'd be OK. Southwold you'd have to arrive early and get a space either just out of town or in thecar Park by the pier. Stay away from the town, just to small and busy. Also, Walberswick would be OK if you can get there early and get a spot in the car park. Good luck, it's a great place for a motorhome tour 👍🏼
