So I just finished the book and returned to your video. I thought the book was so fun! But I didn't realize it was so hyped up. Maybe not knowing it was hyped, made me enjoy it more? I loved the romance and the adventures, and the twists and turns in the end. This is a 4 out of 5 for me! I think I'll follow along with the next books :)

I already have the book on my tbr list unfortunately there's a long waiting list at the library so it's going to be awhile before I can read it
indeed it is a mix of divergent, hunger games, acotar, how to train a dragon and a tiny bit of game of thrones right at the end it’s all in one book 😂 but I still liked it because it was a very different story.
As always your talking is so so fun! 40% of the times i'm giggling and just enjoying listening to you😭😂 i've come across this book just maybe thrice? And now that you've read it i really might not have to read it but! You said the spice is good so......we'll see😌 also the next 4 books are yet to come , do you plan on reading the next book?

I read fourth wing n I loved it I gave it 5 stars ima need book 2 lol 😂😂 like i took my time reading this and im still thinkin about this book and i thought the same thing when i read the spicy scene totally reminded mi about that breaking dawn scene 😂😂😂 and yeah i ended up reading the rest of the book on my ebook and i didn't expect that ending and yeah there were alot fluff n fliller but i didnt mind it bc i was just enjoyin the characters and i couldn't pronounce the drangons names either like i was havin a hard time pronouncing it n ima read book two on my kindle i just got for my birthday when it comes out
i COMPLETELY agree with everything you said about this book. it was definitely not worth all the hype that it got. like, it was good, but not as "earth-shattering" as everyone projected it to be. xaden was the only character i truly liked and honestly the romance was the only high point of the story for me, which i think is not good for a fantasy book. if i were to read a spicy angsty romance, i'd just pick up a romance book without having to bother about all the world-building mess.

SPOILER. I finally read it. I agree the spice was some of the best I’ve read which is surprising given that I’m a PD fan. Also I loved when Xaden betrayed her. It gave me major FBAA vibes like when Hawk (Casteel) revels himself to Poppy. ❤
I found a first Edition at Walmart when everyone was running around looking for it and I still haven't read it...I know I know. I've pre ordered the second one and will read Fourth Wing days before the second one hits lol..I'll be back to watch this video after I read both books 😮
Hey!! Nikki!!... I really need your help.. i don't know how to get over with Devil night series.. i tried reading the windy City series...right now on book 2 .. they r good but how to say..they r plain.. while reading those books... The snippets of PD' books has been flashing my mind..some times it is Damon and winter..some time it is Zordon.... misha n all... Those books r complete package like rollercoaster ride..they always hook u up...but now i am kind of devastated... It feels like going through heart break..or a good bye . dreading to never see them again...

Are you currently reading Iron Flame? I really liked Fourth Wing. But, I’ve never read Divergent. So I feel like if you have never read Fantasy before [like me] then this seems to be a great start. My favorite things about Fourth Wing was the enemies to lovers! Loved the tension. And the continued tension lol
I think you would really like The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Books ( they're middle grade and High fantasy) they're basically both about Journey's there is a bit of action in it and there are some moments where the book can be a bit slow. I also think you should definitely read it
I'm half way through it and I'm feeling the same way. I feel like it's Divergent but fantasy yet nothing is really explained well. I love certain parts but I feel like there's not enough interaction between the love interest. I actually love the crave series and think that's way better then this already.
I loooveed the first three books of Crave and then I got lost in the fourth one and gave up. That’s how I felt about midway through this one 😅 I just feel like nothing’s been explained?
@@nikkisbooknook I completely get that! But yes I'm bored right now at page 211. It's after she gets bonded and has library duty of w.e haha. Maybe there's not enough of the romance for me to keep my attention, along with feeling so lost.

Mediocre at best for me. Like you said , I just felt there was hardly any proper world building. Where is this going , what’s the plot? Why are people rebelling ? Against whom? The ending made me want to read the next one BUT I want some proper world building. Otherwise I will dnf it.
2 .5 Stars. The 0.5 is literally just because of the last sentence. Disappointing.
Oh my gosh, I thought it was just me!! I listened to the audiobook version and found myself having to relisten to parts of the story because I just wasn't sure what was happening:"(( I also thought maybe if I read the physical book, I would have different opinions but nope:/ still feeling the same. Completely agree with you, the book really did ger overhyped and I'm disappointed 🥲
