It can be easy to take something for granted that every time you see it, it seems to go on forever. It’s like an infinite path to the horizon, a landscape that never ends. This is sand, and even though just a simple trip to the beach can make it feel like you’re perpetually surrounded by it, it doesn’t end there. Sand is the foundation humanity has built itself on. What would happen if that foundation ends?

that's why digitalization is the only way possible to end all these nature issues...with only need less than 0.1-1.0% of current human sites for homes,offices,etc.... we can build multi backup servers to ensure safety and ever-increasing needs in digital world for every tens of billions human entities there ..as passing time there is faster,we can really use a 50-100 year rest on real world while being protected by technology and robots around the globe which are keeping the maintenance and protection of all servers around the globe from nature's brutal threats in all forms as we know it, the earth can refresh itself to better state-while we may also have built things that will aid earth regain it's glory state for flourishing life instead of demising it under the rapid climate change-, our entities there will have matured and developed in those digitalized world maybe for centuries if not thousands years which means when we come back in a half or a century, we had the times to get the knowledge and shared advancement technologies means needed to take things here in real world to multi levels ahead exponentially and by doing so, giving civilization and living things plus earth another chance in real life to flourish and grow significantly instead of being chased by doomsday or old savage-uneducated ways of solving or getting things by any means ..... we need more tme & refinement which isn't possible in this real world or current time speed we have defined

You mentioned Florida losing its beaches. I’ve lived in Florida all of my life and can confirm this. Especially after hurricanes. They pull back tides which erodes the beaches and the strong winds as well. Usually after them the city has to pump in sand from about a quarter to half a mile out onto the beaches.

Thanks for making this video Aperture. It made me realize the sheer importance of sand. It is the *foundation* of our society, something that *bases* our lives around. I can't believe I've gone soo much time without recognizing it even when there's soo much *concrete* proof literally *all around* me. Aperture, continue on your mission. Once sand has been rapidly depleted, the price will eventually reach a high that makes it cheaper to buy an alternative, I think this crisis will balance itself out eventually, but obviously poorer developing countries will suffer the most due to infrastructure costs going up.

I feel like you would make a great video about electric cars and their environmental impacts. The directly release no pollution, but indirectly do a lot of damage. The electricity they use is made by burning coal, which pollutes the environment (wind and solar power aren’t efficient enough yet so plants rely on coal mainly). Also, the worst part is lithium. They use lithium batteries which the mining and manufacturing of them is awful. Mining them causes toxic pollution and runoff water that poisons nearby areas. Much of this is in Developing countries that have little to no regulations, especially for those that will fill pockets of those with power. This hurts local populations. Additionally, the manufacturing process of lithium ore into batteries is inefficient and uses much energy and causes pollution

i believe there's a new type of "cement" developed using recycled waste and plastic which will probably get popularized the less resources become.
for the poor sand, it would take a machine that could change the molecular structure, and knowing industries, at a very high and effective rate. would probably consume more materials trying to construct it, and more energy trying to power it.

There's a lotta sand wasted in the world. Those empty islands in Dubai, heaps of trashes around dumpsites, and old abandoned buildings. It would be a really big deal if we could recycle them for new material but the problem is a lot of companies would not be happy with it even if it could give a good effect to the environment.

Finally a sensible comment about the shit we’re in. I learnt something very interesting about the earths coral and what it’s function is for the ocean. The pretty colours and flower type foliages are just a byproduct of the plant. When the oceans become to acidic from excessive Carbon Dioxide the corals will die in order for the alkaline that they are made of can be released and combat the high acidity rates. She will always take what she needs. She is already taking action, and there’s a lot more to come. ✌️🇦🇺
