There's a huge hole in NW without him. They're coming to a venue quite close to me in the US and frankly I don't even want to see them without Marko. Had tickets for the NYC show for the COVID cancelled tour, very sad that didn't happen.
@@jeffwolinski2659 I feel you. But I was already a fan before Marko joined the band, so I know they can still be great without him. My biggest turn off right now is, that Troy is doing so much singing. He has a great voice, but it just doesn't sound Nightwish for me. It's too conventional. Also, I miss those Floor & Marko "duels". They should have let Jukka (Koskinen) to sing those Marko's parts. Or if it didn't work, they should have hired a bassist, who can do them justice. That is my opinion.
I got into NW after Marko was already there, I see your point. Troy sings as well as your average Irish pub singer. Fine for a Celtic song, but nothing close the world class vocals from Marko.

In der Vor-Intenet-Zeit war Waltari schon mal bekannt. "So fine" lief so ca. '94/'95 überall rauf und runter. Zur Jahrtausendwende begann das Publikum mit einer Band zu fremdeln, die sich in keine Kategorie einordnen ließ.

How I like his voice. I missed him tremendously. Especially when I heard the nightwish songs where Marco's roar should have been, it wasn't and it was so strange and sad. I hope he comes back for good and I will see many more projects with his participation. Maybe not with nightwish anymore, but always with us.❤️

This ist the unique but well known sound of the band Waltari and their leader Kärtsi Hatakka. I'm listening to Waltari since 1993, but the group was almost founded in the 80ies.

First time listening to Waltari.
I wasn't sure at first about the music, but Marco's vocals brought me in towards the end. I am happy to see Marco finding his Walden, happy singing in the studio.
Oh, i must have an look at this. Tuonela also was the name of an Amorphis-Album more than 20 years ago...
I discoverded Waltari in the early 90ies when they we're unknown. Then they became big and later again small. But that doesn't matter.
Waltari sings every style of music. They are pure crossover. About 15 years ago they began their tour in Germany supporting SubwayToSally. 300 people in black clothes waiting for their heroes. And about 20 of them waiting to hear Waltari. Guess what they played at the beginning: a cover of Madonnas "Vogue". 20 people happy, 300 silent for the next hour.
I think Below Zero is the superior of all albums of Waltari. Ive been a fan since '97, so hearing this version oh yes brings back memories and I do love Marko and his signing. However i root for the original version more, sorry. I love Waltari to the core no matter what. Since times of Jyrki TV-show, the music has remained the same. Hope to see you guys 9.9.2023 ;)
