    Bel Respiro for the win! I’ll wear this tomorrow in honor of you finally answering this very difficult question.

  • @mikaylajohnson5170
    @mikaylajohnson5170 2 года назад +11

    I love your point about wearing these for the experience, sometimes I’m not even certain my perfumes would smell nice to others. Each morning, I’m confronted by my own indecisiveness with them. Should I be calmed and comforted by Jersey? Feel like I took a $4K bath with 1957? Get whisked away to the countryside with Bel Respiro? Or float away on the sheer sparkle of Bois Des Iles? I truly don’t think there’s a bad perfume in this line, they are all adventures.

    As Cliché as it is... Coromandel. Not simply for the smell but because it reminds of cool mornings growing up/ travelling / old farm houses/hills in the Coromandel region in India. I actually thought it was named after it for years before looking it up and realized that it has do with the chinese lacquer traded via this very coast. Especially, the earthiness makes me feel one with the earth and nature.

    Lovely imagery Eugen 🌅 It's been a while since I've worn anything from the line, but I can certainly resonante with that feeling of capturing a beautiful moment in time. Green scents have been an integral part of my life too and it's always nice to find a perfume that can remind us of that connection to ourselves and the past. 🌳

    Hey eugen, I love your interpretation of bel respiro. I picked this up a while back at my chanel boutique in Seattle. I wasn't expecting to purchase this, but when the employee sprayed bel respiro, it kind of spoke to me. I was expecting to pick up sycomore or coromandel and ended up buying this. I have a wierd relationship with bel respiro because as a perfume, I don't love it, but it evokes thoughts and feelings for me. Primarily a strong feeling of being content. Not happy or sad, just content.

    My favourite currently is the Eau de Cologne. The best cologne on the market, absolutely fantastic. So natural smelling and perfectly balanced between the citrusy, floral, green, spicy and powdery/musk notes. Could wear it everyday, in fact, i did most of the week. I just sit back and enjoy the smell of the beauty.

    I love this line because it doesn’t assault my nose. Other then maybe coromandel and le lion. I don’t sense any overdoses of aroma chemicals to lift them and make them last 24hrs on skin. They do the job well. I get a great 6 to 8 hours of joy and after I’m not left with some sickly sweet amberwoods that rapes my nose for another 15hrs. The blending and materials can’t be beat. Diors privee and guerlains art and materials line doesnt stand a chance to Chanel’s beauty. Maybe I’m getting old and my nose is becoming very sensitive to all the B.S. they put in the base after the top, mid, and base notes have evaporated away.
