I just browsed a Chanel shop at the airport, and they had these great little ceramic cubes in front of each fragrance that you could get a sniff of the fragrance from without having to spray anything. So I smelled ALL of them. Wow. I think I fell in love with 1957. Which is neat because that's my birth year.
I reallyyyy want them to come out with the discovery kit again, I missed out on it last time but it’s such a beautiful line I want a little piece of all of them. My favorites are 1957, Coromandel, and sycamore, with Le Lion skyrocketing to top 4
Thank you for this Chanel Les exclufs video. I ve been wearing Chanel number 22, since I was given this scent by 1st boyfriend when I was sixteen. In 1984 this was the cologne holiday gift set which came with a soap , and lotion. Ihad been wearing the eau de toilette refillable bottle; between; up until 4 years ago when the the scent was elevated to a les exclusifs collection (rightfully so). I wish they would bring back the cologne version,; because there was a boundary aspect to it yet it worked especially in the spring and summer because it kept the same light and didn’t get weighed down by the tuberose and it brought forth some of the other notes an a brightsness that was alrmost like a magnet that would pull you in.. I like the 1932 , 1957 , Gardenia, I own several of a guess the more main stream Chanel fragrances that are sold in department stores. but you didn’t ask for those. I like still like Chanel number 19 poudre’ and and Antaeus por homme ( I love ). I want to smell Le Lion . Take care 🙏✨❄️
Your channel has become my favourite. Thank you for sharing precious info with us. I don't have a Chanel exclusives anywhere near me in 1000km radius, but I love listening about them.
Great list! I enjoy Les Exlusifs quite a lot. Some of my favorites are Coromandel, Cuir de Russie, Boy, Misia, 28 La Pausa, 1932, 31 Rue Cambon and Bel Respiro(worth checking out if you’re a fan of great green freshies with Chanel touch)
I love 1957. So classy, clean like a compact powder you would use to powder your nose. I get the comparison to estee lauder white linen, similar vibe, but chanel is elevated. I tried samples 22, gardenia, a few others, coramandel is nice on the dry down.
Great review Sebastian. I only have coromandel. I have tested some others like boy and sycomore, but did not convinced me to buy it. Regarding coromandel, i have the edp version and it has amazing longevity. Never tested the edt, but mine's has beast performance. Regards from Mexico.
I love Coromandel. It's one of my personal favorites and a frequent go-to. Chanel gifted me a small bottle of Le Lion and it was nice, but it reminded me of shalimar with a heavy dose of added amber (of which I'm not much of a fan). Still-- very lovely scent.
What do you think about Chanel Beige? I am curious and i love it. It smells like baby shampoo and it is classic and elegant of course according to me. Like a expensive soap. Whenever i don’t know which perfume to wear, i sprayed that perfume
Yay! Great video. Coromandel EDT may be my all year, all time favorite of life. EDP is also lovely but I much prefer EDT and thank goodness I have a sealed backup bottle that I purchased for an *amazing* deal back when EDPs were coming out (happy dance!). Used to think I would sell it but the closer I get to the bottom of my open bottle, the more I change my mind. I'm a big fan of Misia in either EDT or EDP and I love Le Lion as well. 31 Rue Cambon (EDT) is an entire mood requiring dressed-up confidence for me, but the dry down is the best. I get hints of it Le Lion's dry down, too. 1932 EDT is the other I have, I reach for it less often than the others, appreciate the dry down most. Oh yeah, I have vintage 90's No. 22 EDT, too. In extrait I have Coromandel, Jersey, Cuir de Russie, No. 22 (vintage), and Bois des Isle - love them in that order. Coromandel extrait is the most beautiful version, imo. I need to smell 1957, La Pausa and Gardenia (of which I have a very vintage extrait stored away). I am nowhere near a boutique, boo hoo. :)
Such an elegant line- thank you for going into depth with these! None of the regular Chanel line stood out for me; but something about the les exclusifs i love!
Thanks to you I added Coromandel and Sycomore to the collection this year. They are definitely my top 2 in my collection.... Of way too many. Coromandel is the perfect fragrance. It's definitely unisex, and a compliment puller. It checks all the boxes. The performance is also amazing, it lasts forever. I love how non-linear it is, it constantly changes through it's 10+hours. Sometimes it's dirty, earthy, then it's sweet and chocolatey, then it's smokey, incense. I just love it.
I bought the Discovery set last year and have absolutely enjoyed all of them! My faves are: Beige, Jersey, 22, 1932, La Pausa, Misia, Sycomore, Coromandal, and Bois des Iles (did I just name most of the set?). I have purchased the larger bottles of Misia & Sycomore but I can’t decide if I should just get the extrait versions of the rest or the EDP (hence the previous post w/question). Chanel’s earlier fragrances are so unique and special.
My favourites are Jersey , N18 and 1957 all the way !!!!! Coromandel I gave away Bec my husband did not like it much :/ from the Paris line Venise is my new obsession !
I've tried a lot and like several but the only one to be a bottle so far is my favorite: Coromandel and my 2nd favorite Sycomore will eventually join it.
A great list! I’ve just purchased a 200ml bottle of Coromandel. The other favorites of mine from this collection are Sycomore, Boy, Le Lion and Bel Respiro. What do you think of Bel Respiro?
Great list. I had 1932 and 1957 on my mind didn’t know which one to get. I ended up going with 1932. Something about it made me feel more comfortable wearing it for a male then 1957. Not sure maybe the honey with the florals. 1932 I was okay with because iris and aldehydes I find to be unisex notes. Although I’m sure a lot of men would disagree but who cares. Other then that I would switch out n22 for la pausa, and we would have the same list different order. Merry Christmas keep up the great work
Personally i think Misia is the best by fa out of this collection! It's also one of my all time favorite powdery make-up like scent. I recently bought it and everytime i wear it i feel so glamorous and expensive. It also has a lovely story, taking you to the dressing rooms in the opera, where you have make up and flowers. Being an opera singer myself, it excites me a lot!
I found a 200ml coromandel for $20 at a goodwill what a lucky butt.. Lol I'm here because I feel is a bit strong but after 20 minutes is sweet soft vanilla white chocolate delicious fragrance..!!!
Love Les Exclusifs..... there is some classiness and sophistication, connected with heritage in that line...and I really love the aldehydes...classy all the way!Coromandel,Cuir De Russie,Sycomore,Jersey,Boy,Bois des iles to name a few...
People are saying le lion is feminine??? That thing is sharp smoky leather and incense all the way through, I couldn’t imagine that being “feminine” I love it
Good afternoon! Pretty cold for the Bay Area eh? Brrr. I’m hoping you might do a video on some of the terms you use. I am a newbie and get a little lost trying to understand things like what I heard as Fuger. Don’t know how to do accents on my iPhone. Thanks. Put lots of coats on if you’re going out. I haven't tried it since it dropped the numerals, but I absolutely adore 28 La Pausa. It's the only one of the line that I own a full bottle of. I've recently been rediscovering all my old Les Exclusifs samples from the EdT days, and I forgot how much I love Sycomore! I need to get my hands on a sample of Coromandel as well, since I've been on a patchouli kick lately with SL Borneo 1834.
Watched this one twice now. It’s all kinda confusing. So, No 18 is that more F or M? Maybe you can add in the description below the vid M or F at the start of each line? My wife wears Gardenia and it’s beautiful. Which one of of these do you consider the most Masculine? Thank you.
Big price rise on the Les Exclusifs recently, at least in the UK. 200ml bottles have jumped from £300 to £350 and 75ml bottles from £169 to £200 in the last week or two.
@@ThePerfumeGuy Painful for me, as I love Le Lion and Coromandel; but I suppose when you look at what just 100ml of a Frederic Malle EdP (£275 for POAL) or Tom Ford Private Blend EdP (£284 for most of the them and £370 for the cherry, peach etc ones) costs, I can see that Chanel saw it was missing a trick pricing 200ml of its premium range at £300.
I haven’t smelled much of the les exclusive line. It’s a line that’s more accessible by visiting boutiques and my interest in the line started this year. Aside from the price, circumstances haven’t allowed me to go out explore the line more freely. I must say I like coromandel and 1957. The only other fragrance that I smelled in the line was sycamore and I really wasn’t a fan.
Chanel are up there with my most overrated brands but that's always just personal opinion, I know so many people love them so it's even more interesting to me to see what scents people like about them and why 🍀

Just collected Beige ! And boy, im so in love!😆 I will continue my collection from this range!
Beige is a beautiful frangipani & yes Misia is amazing, it’s more of an earthy buttery orris root/violet rather than a sweet parma violet

Gardenia is my choice. Smooth white flower
Le lion is wild and different! It is unlike any other perfume and I believe it has captured my heart forever ❤️

how does comete compare to 1957
Sycomore is the top IMHO, despite being on the masculine side. The smokiness reminds me of Gris Charnel, but more intense.
My favorite 1957
