Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Bryn Terfel, Katherine Jenkins, Margaret Price, Gwyneth Jones, Aled Jones (as a boy), Morriston male voice choir (among many others), Thomas L Thomas, Stuart Burrows, crowds singing at Wales rugby matches....Adele, Michael Ball both have a Welsh parent...even my dog Bryn would throw his head back and we would sing our hearts out together.

Just watched all three appearances of this choir. How could anybody in their right mind say that a bloody dog act, and a magician were better. Whoever they were, it's obvious that their idea of an evening of high class entertainment, is watching episodes of, The Simpsons.

    • @beckyboulton2362

You should remember that this is a variety competition, not a singing competition. Anyone is perfectly entitled to win, whether it includes singing, dancing, ventriloquism, magic, dog dancing... a young girl once recited poetry with a snake around her neck! Especially because both Simon and David particularly love dog acts!

I love dogs and i love Wales and this choir. There is a saying, the Gods gave humans the gifts of fire, song and dogs, and the greatest of these is dogs. My dog Bryn would throw his head back and we would sit by the fire and sing our hearts out together. I did consider auditioning with him on Britain's Got Talent. RIP Bryn, those were the best of times.

if you freeze frame around 0:57, you will see a female vocalist wearing a mic. Seems a bit peculiar as there were no soloists in this particular arrangement. why would they all not be using ambient mics?

  • @KKKKK87256

There was nothing on BGT. this year (2016) that was even close to the incredible performance of Cor Glanaethwy, and nothing came close to the performances that we saw from them on BGT. in 2015. Perhaps this is due to a lack of musical education on the part of the general public in England, or possibly the fact that most people are willing to settle for the poor quality of the sound that comes out of most TV's. Listening to Cor Glanaethwy on 7 channel surround sound is like going to heaven. At least it's probably as close as I'll ever get! Someone needs to make musical education a priority in England, or we all face a future of having to put up with infantile music, for people who have never developed a real appreciation for real music. It's a sad commentary on English society.
