My router does not allow ARP binding as far as i can see, i have set a static ip but i only have options for port forwarding certain applications not sure what else i can do
Nice tutorial mate! But i got one wierd problem I can't figure out, last night I manage to get everything to work, both when my PC was in Hibernate / Sleep or was shut off I could turn it on. I used my phone and I got it to work both when WiFi was on and after that I turned off WiFi and went throu the 4G mobile network and I also got it to work, now when I'm 2 km away from home I was going to boot up my computer and it won't work, I had the WiFi turned off of course but still won't work. I can connect to my router from anywere and I can see the IP adress have not change since last night on the router so it should work but I can't manage to boot it up now. Anyone got anyone ideas?
The computer might be entering deep sleep and turning off the Ethernet adaptor after a certain time frame. Make sure you have disabled any power saving features in the bios
no no no! most internet providers give routers that do not have firewall user options and they block magic packets for wake on Lan. I am having a nightmare trying to use an 'insider', a device that is always on that you can remote control to send magic packet from within the network. Total nightmare, many issues, still not solved. Remote desktop apps that work unattended for this i have not found yet. If you pay teamviewer 15 a month, maybe. Anydesk not working on chromebook insider, Ipad insider not happening. arrrg.
Will it work using a TP link provided dns address? I tried but it's not seeing any magic packet. Also, is there any router which supports wol through their phone app?
Yes... sometimes the simpler solution is the best... and at least you have a physical security measure for google big brother not accessing your pc 😂😂😂
This isn't working for me when I try wake from the noip address. But works fine using the wake on lan windows app to find the correct ip address of the target pc only problem is I can't do this over the internet
Hello, I can wake my pc from internet, but only when I have just turned it off. If I turned it off after 5 or 10 minutes, I can't turn on the pc. Do you know what the problem is?
@@TheEasyWay i honestly don't get it, usb seems not power anything when the laptop/PC is turned off... or maybe i should use external powered USB ethernet adapter instead? can my laptop/PC still detect it through usb?
very good explanation, didn't understand anything
Thanks for this video, so many of them but yours was short and on point and was the only one explaining everything, thank you so much

At the 2:16 mark you say choose the ip/Mac address you want. How do I choose one? Can I just make up a random one? Can you give some examples
Awesome I'm using this to wake up my from school, so this is perfect if I wanna remote control it.
Thank you for sharing... Now brother does it all the time...
awesome just what i needed
Glad I could help
I don't have the option to configure my firewall on my router, I can only activate or disable it, how can I configure the arp list?
This does not work as my router does not have options for configuring the ARP settings. Netgear Nighthawk RAX70
I don't see all of the settings such as shutdown wake on lan in the advanced properties
Use ethernet cable not wifi adaptee

Is there an ios app I can use, wolow works for me but only when I'm home
I don't have ARP binding. Using the bell modem
You will need a new router that you can add alongside bell modem if you want arp binding.
I do not have the Shutdown Wake ON Lan option, i do have all the other ones
It is in only ethenet

Your isp might be blocking the port. Try a different port, maybe higher than 10000

I have tried many different approaches, but still haven't found a solution. I hope there will be some solution in the future.
@@pelonloc nope not yet try another program besides boop haven’t tried that yet
I think this issue is related to not setting a static ARP. IP and MAC binding.
My modem/router unfortunately does not provide this option.
The best!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
