This is true, dynu or any other service will need to stay ON to update any changes to your online IP address. So if the PC that has dynu was off and your online IP address changed you will not be able to turn ON your PC because dynu has no way of knowing your new online IP address. So this method will not work in this case. Your best option is to just buy smart power outlet adapter and hook it up to your WI-FI network. And turn ON the feature "Restore on power loss" in your BIOS. So that when you turn on the power outlet adapter it will turn ON your PC since it restored power at that moment. This method will be easier and more robust and does not require anything with portforwarding in your Router or the need to enable WOL in your network adapter. And it's better to use chrome remote desktop instead of TeamViewer as it's easy to connect to your Google account. And if you want more seamless remote connection that uses less bandwidth is to use Windows Remote Desktop, since it does not use "streaming" to control the PC thus less bandwidth. It's a better tool if your connection is poor.
It doesn't work, now I don't know where is problem. If I can't add broadcast to router (is from internet provider via HTTP [orange]) or this DDNS don't work properly...
Thanks for the extremely detailed video. I have done each and every step repeatedly, but I can't wake up the PC on Wan, only WOL. Even following Teamviewer's manual, I have disabled "Windows Fast Boot" in Power Options. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
Did you manage to make it work? Edit: I found out My problem resides in my internet provider. It's basically the only one that doesn't allow wake on lan because of how it manages ips. Fml
Hi !! Great video!! Thks.. I have a problem. My PC woke up the first time, then when I try again, not start!! :( I checked again all config and is correct, some idea?
Please help... I have a grandmother that has memory issues and she's computer illiterate. Her one love in life, entertainment wise, is RUclips. She can't remember how to use her remote control to get access to it. I need someone to design a system that I can remotely access her smart TV so she can watch her RUclips non-stop.
Easy, depends on what tv she has. If LG, LG has an app that you can turn on and off the TV and select to watch youtube netflix etc. once done you can also switch it off. If you want to know what she is watching on RUclips only way is Camera pointing to TV
Just do what's told in the video while having your laptop connected through hdmi to the tv, and so just tell her to power on the tv and she will be able to watch whatever you set on youtube for her 😁
no no no. internet providers give routers with no firewall options. TeamViewer charge 15 a month for wake up functionality. i will lose my mind with this.
1:52 i dont have this bind option.
The easiest way for me, was use my old phone, with airdroid and wolow app.
Your video helped me a lot. Thankssss. You are awesome
I lost it at "Bind IP to MAC"... my topology is ISP Router > Home Router (Tp Link, LAN) > PC LAN
That's a DHCP setting. Just look for anything related to static addresses
Thank you soooo much! Really good describing video!! = )
Glad it was helpful!
Very cool bro. I love your ideas :)
Thank you! 😊
Awesome, thanks :)
Great share. Thank you 👍🏻

Is there a way to turn on my pc when my wake up alarm is triggered?
I don't understand the part with the domain
I tried. But, Is this tutorial for "power on" pc when shut down or "wake up" from sleeping? atm wake up is working great!
done it... lan is working, wi-fi is not.. great thanks for tutorial
Dang my router will not let you change any port forwarding nor LAN setting. Looks like no college football for me this weekend.
Is it necessary port forwarding if you are in the same network?
Usually no
So i need public ip ?
Will it work on wifi?

we can do this windows 7
no no no. internet providers give routers with no firewall options. TeamViewer charge 15 a month for wake up functionality. i will lose my mind with this.
Whoa boot sec ;_;
DONT DO THIS BECAUSE ITS VERY UNSAFE
Why
Why kid
Explain, I would think that someone else can go in and turn your pc on and access your stuff
Only if you give random people access to do this is it unsafe.. no one else will have access unless you set it up for them to.
Nah i'd do it
Don't do this
but i need public ip or ?
