      Biggest tip is getting comfortable in front of your camera. Have your camera slightly facing down, too. It gives a better perspective. And get used to looking at the camera lense, to communicate better with your audience. You’ll also want to make sure your audio sounds clear. Lastly try to have an interesting background.

    Thank you for the video. I do have some questions though. What level are these tips for? I realize many of them are general but something that stood out to me was when you mentioned 'dress up', I can't really think of a place or an age group where this would be appropriate except maybe preschool.
    Another concern of mine is the line between being the teacher, as the 'authority' figure and as the students' friend. I truly believe it's important to set a clear boundary that even though you may be friendly at times you are still the HEAD of the class.
    Any thoughts on this?

    • @TheLanguageHouseTEFL
      @TheLanguageHouseTEFL  9 месяцев назад +1

      1.Dress up = Dress well
      2. Leaders generally don’t tell people they are leaders. If your teaching and classroom management is at skilled up, they will naturally follow your lead. However, it’s not a bad idea to go over goal/expectations during the first day

    • @bearifiablepau2095
      @bearifiablepau2095 9 месяцев назад

      @@TheLanguageHouseTEFL thank you for the answer.
      1. Sorry I was thinking about "play dress up".
      2. I would rather err on the side of having boundaries than not. I've seen teachers playing it cool lose respect real quick with younger students (teens for example). I realize this has to do with context, I'm just speaking from experience.
      I do appreciate your suggestions as they are a reminder to losen up every now and then. 👍
