Introducing tiny11 core - Windows 11 on 3GB of free space

- Back to the basics.
Tiny11 core brings everything you love about Windows and tiny11, in a much smaller footprint.
This makes it great for scenarios where you need to run Windows in a VM or for testing purposes (like testing a driver or an application).
It is not a replacement for tiny11! It has a different purpose: to be a quick-and-dirty testbed or development platform.
However, it should not need any other components to run most (if not all) of the applications designed for Windows, as .NET 3.5 and Internet Explorer core are enabled by default.

its good for game?
I believe tiny11 core beta 1 is your best one so far: it takes only 7 Gb internal space, 1 Gb RAM at most, and has Store available (for installing apps via Winget, especially Cam and Photo Viewer apps, which are always useful). I tested on laptops with Celeron N3050 2Gb RAM and Celeron N3060 4Gb: it works well on both, CPU stays at 60-70% usage most of the time with aero effects on.

I tested this on a virtual machine (16 GB of hard disk, 2 GB of RAM) and it actually takes 7 GB of space instead of 3GB, but it's still very impressive you managed to remove all the bloatware and all the useless stuff. Congrats, NTDEV! (The machine worked totally fine)

You can disable pagefile. Sys and hibernate if you want, its make windows more smaller

the difference between tiny 10 and tiny 11 is that tiny 11 is a different system of course that tiny 10 is better because it doesn't have so many processes and useless things from microsoft

Windows Thin PC exist. It's like Tiny 10/11 but on Windows 7 base and from Microsoft themselves.
I thought of compromising the security and installaling this CORE version, but we need essential updates to get our Driver working. I hope you will find a way for everyone on this earth who loves you 💖
NTDEV has stated himself that you shouldn't use this for work or anything important, as the lack of security along with repairability/ maintenance is a serious matter. It's meant for virtual machines and testing purposes.

Yes,why not,in this build requirement of secure boot,tmp 2.0,minimum ram of 4gb restrictions are removed so ,it can be easily installed on a 2gb ram machine too 💚

Please make a LITE 23H2 with no feature updates only security updates. The last and all in one Tiny 11... Because the previous TINY 11 gets slow when we update it because of Features update and again it goes to 20GB. NOW let me tell u why update is important, because all drivers are these days inbuilt with windows, we need to update to get the wifi and touchpad working 😢 I hope you are understanding low end cpu users pain. Its amazing, i have boot portbale on my 8GB flashdisk. i have laptop with i5 11th and 8GB Ram DDR4 but my ssd its broken :( not detected. now i can use my laptop again for a while.

I am using core as primary OS it took 15 gb on C drive
So I tried it in a vm
Here's what I got
1) It takes upto 7 gigs. Using some storage compression and just straight up getting rid of page file, I managed to get it down to 6 gigs. No this ISO doesn't come with all the crazy compressions that NT Dev did (idk what compression they did)
2) It doesn't have Edge so you will have to download a browser separately. I downloaded Firefox from the Microsoft Store (it might fail to download 1 or 2 times but it will work for sure)
3) Acc to some comments, Wifi and bluetooth is missing so yea, only Ethernet works (not a big deal if you use a VM)
4) Stuff might crash at times (that's probably because of low ram as I only gave 2 gigs of ram)
5) My machine is an ancient machine with 8 gb ram, 500 gb ssd, Amd Ryzen 7 3750H, Gtx 1650ti (gpu is fucking useless if you use virtual box, better use a vm ware [pirate it]) and i am using Virtual Box
Honestly, will not recommend on an actual environment.

this is super cool. i have a friend who has a base model 2017 hp stream with only 4 gigs of ram and a 64 gb emmc and he says it's super slow so i think when i have time i'll go to his house and install tiny11 core

Yes not prbos in that,first make a minimum of 15 gb partition for testing without formatting the current os, and see is this os running good in your pc,if yes install it perfectly

Installed as a VM on Proxmox and a little confused. On a 80GB Virtual Drive it is fresh installed at 12GBs not 3GB? Is this hard drive dependent? If there is a bigger drive it will install at a larger size? I have installed twice same result, or is this a VM issue and not real hardware ?
A large part of it is probably the pagefile. By default (without compression), the installation should be around 6GB. If you compress the installation, however, you will be able to reach to the size from this video.
@@NTDEV ahh compression!!! since im using this on low powered machine maybe compression is not needed. the thin client has 16gb sata dom in it and this uses around 6.5gb so plenty left for other stuff. this may be the new os i use in my arcade cab.

Without windows UPDATE, you dont have any drivers so you have to deal with messy driver updater programs? How can we set the drivers on patato pc. Also i tried the iso so it took 12 gigs Mr. i hate the update at all

The only issue with this is if window get corrupt there is no easy way to reset your need to make bootable pendrive thats a long process so pls take my suggestion and make boot menu normal
I am using it for daily driver. It works very well. I just want to use android subsytem but i can not becauae can't install hyper-V from add windows features section (or with powershell etc). I try many differenet way but nothing works. Any hints?
