- In this video, I show you a time-lapse demonstration of my latest drawing using graphite, and talk through some of the details of how I created it.
The supplies I used to create this piece are as follows:

Media: Faber Castell 9000 graphite pencils
Other supplies:
Various erasers, including the Tombow Mono and Tombow Mono Zero erasers
Derwent Superpoint helical sharpener
Sandpaper block (for sharpening)
Faber Castell Drafting brush
Blending tortillions
My reference photo was by Aschi, via Paint my Photo - if you'd like to paint this same bird, then you can head to pmp-art.com/ to get it! - Хобби
This is so beautiful. Thank you so much for your tutorial. It's been years since I've sketched anything, but birds were always my favorite.

Thanks
So beautiful. Thank you for the tutorial.
I thank you so much for this video. I've been searching to learn how to draw bird feathers. However, I am confused about one thing. Near the beginning of the video, you said to start with darkest tones like on the branch and the birds head. But with the feathers, you went from light to dark... which makes more sense to me. Can you clarify this?
Oh wow, so beautiful, thank you for sharing x
