I LOVE the creature art teacher courses - so many great courses to choose from! I became a member and it is so worth it - always finding courses I'm interested in and I really like them (plus improving my artwork too). 😁👍🏻
Fascinating to just listen to mr. blaise answer the questions and occasionally tune into the video to see how the image has transformed
Thank you. Great step by step instruction. Really helped me to get an accurate sketch. I had a wonderful result for the final picture.
I love that Aaron is left-handed. For some reason it makes a difference when trying to emulate.
Thank You so much. So Amazing! I just started trying to teach myself to draw. I look to the internet to also help. Sometimes I lose faith in myself. You’re advise helps tremendously. Thank You So Much.
This guy does all the things I've heard other artists say "DONT DO THAT" about (mechanical sharpening, finger-blending, touching the paper, blowing the dust off with your breath, not working from the shoulder, etc.)....but it still looks amazing.
Aaron is old school and worked for Disney.
And for good reason. I can't believe he made that awesome drawing on newsprint instead of archival Bristol vellum.
That was a lot of fun to watch. And I learned a lot. Thanks, Aaron and Dustin. 👍🌞😊
i am so glad to find this video. Wonderful visual and great advice. i used to live in Burbank CA across the street from Wolfgang "Wolfie" Reitherman. Good times.
Oh wow, interesting way to do toning! I will have to give that technique a try. The drawing looks great!
Amazing, I'm going to try this. You're a great inspiration to my art. I thank you.
15: 22 !! thank you for the African work!
Wow, your work is amazing. i watched the whole video and learn alot. thank you very much. at first I thought it was so difficult to draw that picture then after I saw your technical, it is easier. I got the process. Again, thank you for your work. have a nice day.
If I had a dollar for everytime that guy in the background says, "animated character", I could afford a nice studio like this.
Lol
I just copied this and it looks amazing on paper. Thanks for this video, for my very first charcoal drawing it was a pleasure copying your style.
Great demonstration, very inspiring. Thanks
Just going to try charcoal art, thank you for this tutorial,
You’ve helped me to relax about it, you are truly amazing.
I loved this. Because of head injury after my accident I have had a difficult time at drawing again. Thank you for that Light Bulb moment🤗!

Welcome to the Philippines! I think it's not yet too late for me to learn drawing especially charcoal technique. Thanks for sharing this. In the future I may use coconut charcoal from our coconut farm. You're right, the generation today have a quick access on almost everything....in my days, pencil is expensive to buy.
Awesome drawing ❤❤👍👍 thanks for step by step tutorial . I start learning your introduction . Thanks for all.🙂
Great work...Sir
Your work is amazing. When I was young I could pick up just about anything and draw it, however, now I cannot seem to draw at all.
Unbelievable!!
Love and respect... Sir
This guy is so superior. “Yes that’s what I’m talking about..”
I would like to see a how to make one of those sticks as a tutorial and how to make them smaller equivalent if you are drawing with a Printer size paper or 11 by 17 size piece of paper.
I love watching your vedios. It definitely get inspired. I learned so
much in this one. I'm determined to improve
its awesome
I hope you publish a book too. I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
genial, fantástico, maravilloso.
Excellent 😊
Concept space structure form and detail that’s what art really is
Wow, like it.
Love this class was wonderful I did pretty good ! It kinda was beauty and the beast
Cool man
thnk you so much for this video.
Hi there, greetings from sunny South Africa!
All I have to say is-
*_wow!_*
Nice picture. ❤️
I like your drawings. I love to draw and sketch and also use charcoal.
I have never seen a pole with a sock attached to help you draw over the drawing so you can rest a hand over the art. I like that more than putting a paper over the art so that you prevent blurring or so that you can see the rest of the art while drawing.
@ mythdusterds... where have you been ? that "pole with a sock attached" is called a Mahl Stick and has been in use for at least the last 500+ years and is mainly used by painters... oh what's the use, google it and learn something...
Good drawing
really love this and your tech and im really happy im your 500the like persone :)
I did not know that Disney decided on different mediums in each film. I always thought that Disney used ink on the cells unless they were backgrounds.
Excellent video and channel, Aaron! The new microphone is great, but it just needs to be dialed back a bit at the mixer/audio interface. It's clipping.
Cool
I do tattoo portraits like this on human skin
Its alot harder to do
but the reward of seeing the finished product stare at you from the persons ribs is priceless.
Anyone: *asks question*
Aaron: stop it, just stop.
His son: *get some help.*
Most important art tip from the video on how to overcome an art issue: “stop doing that” 😂
i wonder at what age he started drawing??...nobody had ask this simple question...great great art sir

Thanks Aaron for your Live Demonstrations I am watching You from Kenya.....when are you coming to Kenya/ Maasai Mara?
@Aaron Blaise, given you draw every day, how do you find what you want to draw? the biggest issue I have is always knowing what to draw.

How do you fix charcoal work. It is very loose. Also do you often fix and go for next layer? Raquib, Bangladesh
Gret artist ,
I am new to this technique, how can you give so CLEAN highlight, I have a kneaded eraser but cannot do such clean work ( no doubt you are v v senior and experienced). It will be a great help. Thank you
Because he used VINE/WILLOW charcoal for his original sketch. It erases easily compared to compressed charcoal.
Hello From Grand Rapids MN. Never have used this medium, but courious ! why i clicked on the notice! ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////thanks for sharing!

Hi big fan. My question is your art desk you got from Disney I love it is there a way to make your own or do you have plains that we can see love to know thanks
They are pretty complicated. Not any plans out there that I know of but you will occasionally see the real ones for sale on eBay
hello ?how often do you chain up your keened easer
I previously tried buying a few different kneading erasers but I found they were always way to firm and fixed in shape to actually knead 😰 can anyone recommend a good one that’s available in Australia?
Hello from Québec! Dirty for m'y english but I have try a draw ans I did the shadow with a brunch and the charcoal powder... IT was very messy and dufficult to have vert dark black .. Do you have a spécial tecnic for vert dark black?
how do you achieve proportion of lion?
Can you show us your technique to draw a crumpled paper?
I notice your hand starts rocking before the pencil touches the paper and you never do a single stroke line. Should all lines be a series of small strokes?
It's amazing when you can see some of the same characteristics between the artist and the picture he/she is making lol
Thoughts on kim jung gi s art. /?
