Bird in Pastels Demonstration

- In this video, I show you a time-lapse demonstration of my latest drawing/painting of a bird using pan pastels and pastel pencils, and talk through some of the details of how I'm creating it.
The supplies I used to create this piece are as follows:
Surface: 7" x 5" Clairefontaine Pastelmat (dark grey)
Media: Faber Castell Pitt Pastel pencils and Stabilo Carbothello pastel pencils
Other supplies: Sofft blending tools.
My reference for this piece came from Pixabay
The wood is so detailed that with it's much more color, makes it the focus of the lil work

I'm doing well - thanks for asking! I've been taking a break from traditional art for the time being as I had a baby end of last year. I'm not sure when I'll be back to it again, but hopefully some time in the future!
