man, I've binge-watched multiple videos since finding your channel. Keep up the good work! and also, what camera do you use? I want to start recording this type of content for my friends and myself
Ahh thank you! That actually means a lot! The camera I use is the Sony Alpha 6400. Documenting the journey definitely helps with accountability I find!
Im not very far in the video yet but I just want to say; I’m in love with how real you are. I love seeing the progress you go through. I love hearing your thoughts. I love this insight to your running journey. It inspires me and I hope to run a marathon someday and this makes me so hopeful. (Though I get too nervous to do speed work now but I’ll get there)
It's totally doable!! My goal is to show both the good and the bad and all the realities of training. I was once in your shoes when I didn't think I could run a marathon but with some training & consistency, it's 💯 possible!
I am seeking a cost-effective strength training program for my next marathon build. I remember you were using the Dynamic Triathlete app. Do you continue to use the dynamic triathlete app for your strength training? Or would you happen to have any other app to recommend?
Oh I know the fear around speed work. Or any hard workouts really. I get soo nervous. But most of the time it turns out fine. Do you use the motivv app for marathon training too or how do you determine your workouts?
Yeah the nerves are SO real haha, but I agree - I usually feel better & accomplished after doing it! I'm currently using the Runna app, so we'll see how this one goes cause the plan focuses on distance whereas the Mottiv app focuses on time
So happy you got a new PR!!! You’re really an inspiration!! I’m currently curled up in my bed and I just wanna get outside and run at 2 in the morning ahhaa!!! Love your work girl and I loved everything about this video (Also the new Ironman bag is SO SICK. I would take around with me for every training and race. You’re the goat)
Thank you! the first 4KM, I was averaging around 4:15-4:20/km and then the last KM had a big hill, where I averaged close to 4:50-5:00/km 😅 So final time ended up being 21:55 at 4:21/km average pace
Congrats on your wedding and this new chapter, don’t work too hard and enjoy some vacation time off without a strict workout schedule! Look snatched in the dress now you can be married and fat 😝
Thank you!! I definitely had to work on relaxing & recovering after the wedding 😮💨 Trying to get back into training right after didn't work out so well haha so I'm learning to take some time off cause I know it won't make a HUGE difference to my training progress
Crazy effort on the 5k good job! So glad I found your channel for this build up to the next marathon it’s so interesting to watch as someone who doesn’t run at all ahahahaha

@@EMELYNJADE May, 6 - May 12. It clearly says 121 miles. Notice that I said cross training. Cross training is any training outside of your primary movement. I'm not the one trying to run well in the marathon. You can't argue with the results. You've had multiple weeks over 100 miles from March to the end of May. That's including running, swimming and biking. If you want to run your marathon well, maybe consider being honest and structure your training better. I get that you want people to write great job or just like the video since you felt like you worked hard. However, hard work doesn't always means that it's productive.

Great video again! What was your finale time and splits? a 2 minute PB is crazy!! Well done (:

Nice work! I’m training for Chicago too, so will definitely follow along with your journey. Best of luck with everything 🙂
Omg amazing!! Have you done Chicago before?? I'm excited to experience the World Major vibes!
@@EMELYNJADE no, this is my first Major! I do want to complete all 6 one day though 🏃🏻♀️
121 miles a week for a 21 min 5k is not productive. With that amount of mileage plus cross training, you should be running a lot faster.

who says i'm running 121 miles a week? I'm not even close to the mileage
