The Leica CM was the first compact camera completely designed and developed by Leica. It was designed with quality of M and R cameras in mind and the experience of using it prove this.
Oh, and I was wondering I'm the only one suspecting something is off with the subject))) after scanning film from Contax T3 and comparing them to my "regular" work from Leica M body with M lenses I decided to search a bit about Leica point and shoot cameras. I was very surprised CM has almost no reviews on RUclips! To be honest I think it's a good sign to hop on that train since it should be good (must be since the lens is 50 years more modern that the one I have and love) and CM's glory moment is yet to come. I definitely agree that there is a Leica look, people can argue forever, everything is subjective, but comparing same film, same location T3 with Summicron - Summicron wins for me.
I've seen some ppl online who have rehoused the CM lens with an M mount so they can use it on their regular M. That probably says something about the quality of the lens.
Well, I’m not sure it’s worth “rehousing” for an M mount since there are a ton of sharp and nice natural Leica M lenses, but sure, why not? Especially if there is a broken CM
In short, no. My initial intention for this channel is to express everything worth sharing on my photography journey. That being said, I am indeed exploring the M series recently😉
A beautiful and perfect pile of crap. LEICA CM 40mm f2.4 I had two and they both broke in the same way. Leica couldn't fix because they didn't have a broken connection ribbon.
it's a $3000 compact. imagine buying this as a hobby/beginner photographer and thinking it will make your photos better. every shot on display is submid. you need to stop when the qtip hits resistance, people.
The best Leica RUclipsr I've ever seen🎉
😂

Great video!
Quick question - is this going to be an exclusively Leica channel?
In short, no. My initial intention for this channel is to express everything worth sharing on my photography journey. That being said, I am indeed exploring the M series recently😉

Cuz it’s more expensive than an M2 😂
That's really a strong point! But I think these are two very different cameras targeting different audiences.

No one is talking about this channel
Hopefully people will talk about this channel in the future!
