The answer is yes. They did 12 books in 2 seasons. If Eris doesn't show up, that means they decided to go from book 13-14 with 20+ episodes
With the pacing from here on out doing 2 books a cour/season could work out better tbh. End of season two kinda proved that slower pacing could allow better coverage of events

Ain't no way the fully animate Oldeus Timeline. Especially with how sensitive people are these days and the creator saying he doesn't want to offend people too much and remaking things so everyone will want to watch. So it's almost a guarantee that a lot of stuff will be toned down
I think she will most likely appear in the next season, at the end of s2 rudeus said something like "in order to protect his loved ones, he has to defeat the impossible" hinting at Orsted, so it will most likely cover at least turning point 4

If we’re sticking to 2 Cours then I believe will get to the Asura Kingdom arc if we are sticking with the pace the anime is going. Vol 13 can be 3 episode, Vol 14 can be another 3 episode, and vol 15 can be 4-5 episode that should cover the first cour.
I think S3 will end with Rudeus vs. Orsted round 2. It will probably be split into two cours, one ending after Atofe and the other ending with the fight with Orsted. As for Eris, if they don't do an OVA for her time in the Holy Land of Swords, then the studio is making a massive mistake.
Season 3 will most likely adapt volumes 13-17, 1 volume less than s1 and 2 but given how volume 18 is more of a fresh start again, it would most likely be adapted in season 4. Eris will be fully reintroduced back in either the final stretch of cour 1 or the early episodes of cour 2.
I hope Rudy's voice is slightly deeper in the next season....

I see her coming back for sure each season has covered 6 volumes of the novel so I would say for sure we will see her come back and for those that know. Vol 15 is the best vol! At least as far as I’ve read currently in volume 17
I think we are going to get a short arc like 2 or 3 episodes covering Eris but probably at the start of season 3 or the start of part2 of season 3.

Yes she was teased at the end of the trailer announcment for season 3. I think they will bring her back towards the mid season not right out the gate I could be wrong though and they could swing for the fences.
Season 3 first half will focus on the two years and the first 3 episodes of part 2 could be perugius, then turning point 4, with the season ending with rudeus vs a certain turning point.
i hope they end the season with orsted vs rudeus/eris rematch. would possibly be the hypest finale of an anime season period. super excited to see that fight animated with mushoku tensei's godsend animation.

Mushoku Tensei Season 3 is bound to be like the other two seasons; split cour, with a season between them.
I believe they'll end the second cour of season 3 with THAT fight... if ykyk, and they'll do like a 3 episode OVA for Eris after the first cour.

They keep going at 3 volumes per 12 episodes (tho it'd be better if each season was 13 episodes), so yes, next cour will likely have Eris in full action.
It is very likely Bind shortens Volume 13 since it is SoL-heavy, Volume 14 will most likely be 4 episodes, so episode 8 would be Turning Point 4 and the _dreaded diary,_ which will almost surely have its own episode. Then 4 episodes for Volume 15, of which I wouldn't be surprised if they rushed through the prep for the _big battle_ and we got 2 _big battle_ episodes, with the last episode being cleanup story-wise (another option is the _big battle_ being condensed a bit, thus allowing for an extra episode of prep time).
We missed out on a good bit of Eris content, hopefully like S1 we'll get an OVA showing what happens when she's not with Rudy..

I’m pretty sure the anime leaving out the holy land arc was them following the web novels, the web novels don’t really tell you much about eris until after she gets married. I like that it follows what Rudy comes to know better instead of a omnipresent story where you know what everyone is upto even if they are hundreds of miles away.

It was probably teased in the visuals with the 3 appearing after a flash of red. I'm guessing we'll see her, but probably towards the later portion of the season

Eris will be in season 3. It’s been going 3 volumes per cour. And the volume everyone’s waiting for is volume 15. Eris might not get a lot of screen time but she should make it by end of cour 1 of season 3
Each cour so far has adapted 3 ln volumes, so rn the 4th cour has ended, which lines up with ln volume 12, and the next cour will hopefully follow the same rules adapting volumes 13-15
i wont be surprised is eris' whole training arc becomes a 1-episode recount, and i cld even guess that episode will be right after orsted is 1 step away from re-killing rudy...given how much the anime is missing out :C

As long as they do 24 episodes at the same rate they have been, they will. I expect we'll see the first twelve episode cour cover up until the Orsted rematch, then the second twelve episode cour will probably cover the Asura Kingdom Arc.

Finishing Reading Vol 13 online becase couldnt buy it anywhere. And Vol 14,15,16 are already oderered , i love light novel soo far i definitely gonna read it to the end.
We got the first 24 episodes from the first 6 novels and the second season ended on the 12th novel. so that being said the first 12 episodes of session 3 should have eris... but at the end of the season because she shows up in the 15th novel

Season 1 covered volumes 1-6. Season 2 covered volumes 7-12. Even if we only got 12 episodes for season 3, which I doubt, we'd still get through volume 15 where she reunites with Rudeus.
In season 3 we should be covering book 13 birth of the new emperor, lucy fun time, fishing scene, roxy sylphie rudeus shed scene, nanahoshi scene, perseuna and forgot her name fight scene, perugeus castle, return of kishirika kishirisu, atofe attacks, nanahoshi getting sick, turning point 3, eris if they cover the sword village, mk0 creation, orsteds fignt vs rudeus either way we should see VL13 TO VL 18 OR 19
Seeing by the pacing of how many volume they've adapted each season and cour (6 volumes per season / 3 volumes per cour), assuming Season 3 is a 2 cour season, Eris should appear in the latter part of Season 3 Cour 1.
I also thought if anything Eris would be at the very end. The OVA would be quite nice to have

I hope SS3 will also have 2 cours like Season 2. I don't mind it being pushed back to near if not 2026 if that means we get a lot of content and it would also have time for a mini-series of Eris OVAs, while also not Mappa'd Bind employees.
It will definitely be an OVA, since a lot of the events during her arc take place during season 2 part 1. We know this since the girl who is jealous that Eris actually had s3x with a boyfriend even though she is so savage, comes to beat up Rudeus and make him her slave to be superior to Eris. However this all happens when he fights Badigadi and it shows her his overwhelming strength, so she heads back to the sword place utterly defeated
The anime is already shortening and cutting down parts of the novel. If this continues Eris might end up appearing in last part of the season.
Hopefully it is 2 split-cours with actual 25 episodes. But yeah, I guess another episode 0 will be happening if no Eris OVA is here.

I think if they're going at the same pace, vol 15 would be adapted in cour 1 of S3 considering they going with 3 volume/cour, 6 volume/season.
But i kinda hoped they'd adapt vol 13 and 14 for S3, and adapt vol 15 as a movie.
OVA doesn't seem likely I didn't hear any news about it that being said if they are gonna do Eris side of the story my best guess is it's gonna be at the beginning of season 3 give or take they might do it in 6 episodes probably less assuming it's gonna have 24 episodes which probably gonna be like season 2 having 2 parts they might speedrun the 2 years of of peace in the second half of the first cour ending it with a cliffhanger of old rudeus appearing which bring us to second cour where the most of action of gonna happen ending with the aftermath of a certain fight rudeus have

I think (my opinion) that volumes 14-19 is most likely. But it could be possible that it goes from volumes 14-17 if they plan to adapt as much as they can. In the past seasons we’ve adapted 6-7 volumes each. Season 1 covering volumes 1-6 and season 2 covering volumes 7-13. So you might be thinking season 3 will cover volumes 14-19 while season 4 covers volumes 20-26 ending Mushoku Tensei. Well I would agree with you but there is a problem. Volume 26 of Mushoku Tensei is a slow burn of a volume with a lot of side stories. Mixing it with season 4’s action packed volumes with fights against people like Badigadi, Kalman |||, and Gal Farion it’ll ruin the peaceful slice of life. Plus we’ll probably get less adapted since anime seasons (and so far Mushoku Tensei) have adapted episodes 24. So imo they should make volume 26 it’s own season, or movie at the very least. They’ll make money from the previously hyped arc so there’ll be tons of fans to watch the next season anyways, plus people will be tuning in to see how the story ends. Now, this isn’t the only reason why having volume 26 be it’s own season is a good idea. Because we took out the slowest burning part of the light novel, we have much more breathing room and can fit more stuff into other seasons. This’ll let the studio do one thing that people will love, adapting more from the light novel. That’s also why I think covering volumes 14-17 is a good idea, because it has enough big crazy things going on while still being able to adapt what people truly want. I don’t really know as much information about what happens from volumes 18-25 but I think I have a solid idea. If I’m correct volumes 18-25 should be the most action packed adventure parts of Mushoku Tensei (besides volume 18 and possibly 20 and 21). Because of the faster pacing I think we can cover more volumes without possibly being to dragged out. And just to be clear I’ve only heard facts and information about the light novels I haven’t actually read them but I think the amount I know is enough to be valid. Next thing we have to talk about it cours. Usually seasons in Mushoku Tensei are 2 cours with 1 ova episode. Season 3 I can picture perfectly, cour 1 would cover volumes 14-15 and possibly some of 16 with an ova episode about Eris’s time in the Holy Land of Sword. If we were to adapt as much as possible while still feeling well paced volumes 14-15 would be perfect. Meeting Atofe and Perugius. Full Oldeus adaption and the dark timeline. Fighting Orsted and becoming his subordinate. Marrying Eris. And then I said part of 16 as setup for cour 2 which will focus on Ariel taking the Asuran throne. I could also perfectly see volumes 18-19 being adapted in there, but it would be more cramped. However that would allow season 4 more breathing room. However, 18 and 19 would have to go with 17 since I can’t see volume 17 being in cour 1 without adapting much. I also can’t see them ending season 3 in volume 18 as nothing much of importance happens. So it would have to be 18-19 with 17 in cour 2. I think that’s good since it also allows for us to adapt everything in cour 1 without issue. However it can also be volumes 14-17 for season 3. I’m not going to write anymore because I’ve already wrote enough, but overall I’m so hyped for season 3.
Edit: I’ve realized season 2 actually doesn’t cover volume 13 but my opinion still stands for season 3, 13-17
Imo their best bet is to adapt volumes 13-15 for s3. Vol 16 would just build up to vol 17, but having 2 really major arcs in one season would ruin the anime in the long run. They could drag all the slice of life bits from volumes 13+14 into the first half like in s2 and leave the genuinely impactful moments to the second cour (like in s2), basically everything that happens after Rudeus enters perugius' castle thru the showdown in vol 15 because those are really beefy parts of the story
@@electroshock6383 I actually changed my mind after thinking about it more. I think it should just be volumes 14-17 (btw when I mean 14 I also include volume 13 along with it since part of 13 has already been adapted). You are right that they are beefy parts, but cour 1 containing volumes 14 and 15 seems good and if there is any room they could leave it for 16 as they hype up for the next cour. Cour 2 could centralize on just volume 17, pick up from volume 16 or start from volume 16. Ultimately they can’t adapt everything, but they can adapt more if they let cour 1 have breathing room which imo it looks to have. I also thinking having these two big arcs in this season is fine as they would be sperated by cours, and after volume 18 it’ll be all big arcs.
Edit: season 2 actually only covered 7-12 that’s my bad but my opinion still doesn’t change

Rudeus feelings towards her are complicated.
Eris feelings never changed all the years Rudeus gets up on his feet and builds a family Eris is doing nothing but training like a maniac.
Rudeus also still has no idea that Eris thought the opposite of what he assumed which is understandable.
If it's a 24 episode season I think it has to end with meeting Oldeus, Unless they plan to cut a lot of content. The only other logical end point would be the fight with Orsted, and that just seems too far out without skipping way too much material.
If it's the same as the other two seasons the fight with orsted should be over by the end of cour 1
