Channel Islands Rocket Wide Review (EP.18 Spinetek & 2+1 Is gold)

Hey fellow surf addicts, today we'll be reviewing the very successful and highly acclaimed Rocket Wide by Channel Islands Surfboards. This design was made in co- creation with Team rider Dane Gudaskas, and I was always intrigued to try it. Even though it isn't my magic stick, this model does not disappoint and seems to work in most everyday conditions I throw at it (Even the heavy onshore days). For an epoxy, that's extremely impressive.
Conditions: 1-4 ft (In Spinetek)

I ride my RocketWide with AM2 for bigger waves and AMT as the 2+1. Didn't like the T1 fins in it. Great board. Super versatile. So fast and springy in Spinetek.

AMT’s would be a good pairing with this board. I tried the Large AM 2’s, and they felt great, but weren’t as fast as the MR’s or Accelerators. Spinetek feels great and holds better than most Epoxy constructions.

It goes really good a thrusters, quad or 2+1, its quite amazing actually.
Its a pretty sick board in average to below average waves imho. Just ordered a new one but a squash tail with a five fin setup.. keen to see how it goes compared to a swallow tail.
