In this round of the Battle Of The Boards from Boardshop pits the new Firewire Mashup against the Channel Islands Rocket Wide.
Once again, we have run both boards through there paces and scoring them on our findings and opinions on how we got on.

Yeah Nah keep rubbing that thing. I would if I had one.
The firewire helium construction is pretty solid. Like when ever I had a tussle with the board I always came out second best. Black eye cut forehead split shin and many bruises but the board was unscathed. Even after a snapped leggie trip to the rocks the board handled it. I will definitely go for the mashup. CI boards are a bit fragile

Thanks guys. Making me rethink my Dominator 2. Maybe sell it for the mashup - even though the dom2 has more volume than my other boards it seems slow on the take off
Thank you! The D2 is great in the right waves but a thruster, pulled in squash tail will not always be super fast. If you want more speed then the Mashup is a good call.
What fins you running in the D2?
Very nice video, i have a seaside 5.6 and a js monsta box 5.10, u think a mashup 5.8 could replace both boards? I live 1 hour driving from the sea so it is quite complicated to decide what board bring with me, i am looking for one all around board, i ride beach breaks mostly 2 to 6 fts

I got a rocket wide and i love it its a good grobbler and if the swell gets overhead i can put bigger fins in and it can handle the size

No news right now. Hopefully it could be later in the year but we are not sure.
Question. I’m going to buy a new board and the two ones that I’ve concluded to (both used for good deals) are the LOST PYSCHO KILLER and LOST QUIVER KILLER.. I’ve seen both of you reviews but can’t come to a conclusion. Can you maybe highlight the differences between the two?

I have the psycho killer it’s my favorite board. Also have the ci rocket wide… jS. Blak box 3…….lost v3 stealth…..lost blunt the quiver killer and psycho killer are pretty much the same. Swallow vs round tail I believe. Can’t go wrong with either or great all around everyday boards
how do these 2 compare with the pyzel astropop? Thanks boardshop!
We could compare all of them and more. Similar board for sure. You could throw a blanket over all 3.
Haven’t ridden these boards but I love my Astropop with twin and trailer(rasta).
The best fins for the rocket wide future ?? Which 2+1 and trim ??
The best 2+1 is the Machado set! they are cracking.
So do you guys actually ride these boards before the reviews?
For sure we do. We review showing new models to avoid dirty wax offending people.
I prefer mash up over seaside,m. Me and seaside didn't gel..
When comparing the same size board (5.10”), the rocket wide has 33.5L whereas the mash-up has 35.5L. For the same size board, do you still think the Rocket Wide wins in wave catching and paddle power ?

Too bad firewire boards will turn yellow after a few months. A long term design flaw
One maybe both of these guys probably rips me right out of the water, but I will never be able to take seriously, any of these guys with the Brittish accents. It's just not adding up. Cornish chic.
Not sure if this is the best or worst back handed compliment we have ever had...
