The Firewire Mashup surfboard is a versatile all-around board that is suitable for surfers of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced surfers. The board was created after a customer requested a blend of two popular Firewire models - the Seaside and the Spitfire. Firewire decided to give it a shot and build the board, and it turned out to be a huge success.
The Firewire Mashup features Firewire's proprietary Linear Flex Technology (LFT) construction, which includes a parabolic balsa wood rail that provides the board with a lively flex pattern and a high strength-to-weight ratio. Additionally, the board's deck is reinforced with a deck skin that increases its durability and resistance to impact.
Renowned surfboard shapers Rob Machado and Dan Mann collaborated on the design of the Firewire Mashup. Mann is known for his ability to create surfboards that are both high-performance and user-friendly, while Machado is a master at creating boards that excel in a variety of surf conditions. Their combined expertise and creativity led to the creation of the Firewire Mashup, which has become a favorite of both professional and amateur surfers.
The Firewire Mashup has been ridden by several pro surfers, including Taj Burrow, Michel Bourez, and Joel Parkinson. These surfers have praised the board's versatility and ability to perform in a wide range of surf conditions. The Firewire Mashup is a testament to the innovation and creativity of Firewire and its team of shapers, who are constantly pushing the boundaries of surfboard design and technology.

I would suggest more of a shortboard type of fin
For Drive and projection down the line - Fins that are in the Rake Family
or Neutral template for more all around
I have not talked to anyone that's use it the the Machado Fins , but maybe it will work, t's just what your preference is.
We've been big fans of the 2+1 ofr at least 10 years.
      Yes for Quad too.
Use the Big Side fins and for quads use the Vektor fins.
We've turned many people onto this combo and they become fans.
We even have a guy that tests out many of the prototype slater boards and he's been surfing this set up to a little over head.
Here is link to Vektor fins. Designed by a local North Shore guy a few years before the Knubster came out.

This isn't what I would say informative. This board isn't for everyone as it has a flat in the rocker that effects how it rides. If you don't ride it short it will track. Quads could help if the board is a bit long but only if stand rear of center.
Because of the volume up front it encourages you to stand more forward than the rocker works.
Rob rides this super short so the issue isn't obvious.
