Don't worry about the other fukstiks comment.. this was sick. Tunes, footage, fin recommendations, wave size recommendations were epic, the footage told the rest. Enjoy the trip, keep the vids coming.
Great video, cheers. I didn't realise the mashup had that much range, assumed it was more of a groveller given it's fairly wide, flat rockered and fishy. How did it feel in hollower waves?
Cheers Jason! Super fun in smaller hollow waves, as long as conditions are clean but once it gets over 4ft I switch over to the Slater Designs Flat Earth
Sick review. Sold me. I’m going to be surfing urban Sydney a bit and the northern beaches so this board will be mad for the quiver. Have you found a better board for urban surf yet?
Hey mate! Sorry for the late reply, we’ve been offline in remote Western Australia. Got the FIREWIRE LOWRIDER deck grip on the MASH UP. It’s designed to be used with this board (so fits well with that chine rail).
Hi man thanks for the extensive reviews! I have a question for you: Im 5.11, around 66 kg and mainly surf mushy small wves. I would say my level is just a bit below you, but similar. I bought the bobby quad in 5.6 but missing a bit of paddle power and dont want to buy it bigger. Im considering the mashup in 5.7 or 5.8. Do you think the paddle power and increase in the mashup is worth it? Do you think the mashup grovels as well as the bobby quad? Thank in advance!
@@tezf6883 revo mate, absolutely love it. 6’2 44 litres. I’m 96kg and intermediate level. I’ve got a seaside as well as a glazer…..they haven’t been off the rack since this arrived.
@@alexanderturl what type of waves are you surfing typically, and what is your surfing style? 44L seems massive for that type of board. I'm 6'2" 100kg and just ordered the 5'10"/36.5L. It'll be the highest vol shortboard I've owned, but their spacing is pretty big. A bit nervous it's going to feel bloated.
@@cwr8618 I live on the Goldy mate, beachies mostly. Keep in mind I started surfing in my mid thirties, I’m competent, but not anywhere near your level. I’m 47 too. I started riding it as a quad, now I’ve got MR twins with the stabiliser, rode it at quality south straddie a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Put it this way, I can duck dive it no worries, it catches everything, and for my level, the size of it isnt going to be the thing stopping me getting vertical snaps😉 I reckon you’ll be stoked with yours.
Been following your videos, really nice. One quick question for you, i live in portugal, surf mostly beach breaks, wich board would you choose for an everyday board, Mash up or the Flat earth? Thank you .
Hey Ricardo. Thanks for watching! Just depends on wave size really. As a groveller (1-3ft), definitely the Mash Up. If the beach breaks you’re surfing have decent sized waves majority of the time.. Flat Earth!

Surfing and shots were cool but not sure how you'd call this a review. Not really any performance characteristics, ideal wave criteria, board shape dynamics, etc. Didn't really help me decide and I've been looking at the mashup for a few weeks . . . Cheers
yea really enjoyed the surfing but would have like to hear more about what you liked / didn't like and how it felt in certain conditions etc. Great video though. Really shows the board in a lot of different conditions.
Cheers for the feedback guys. We’ll be sure to include more in the next one. If there’s ever something you feel we’ve missed or that you’d like to know, please feel free to leave us a comment with questions. We’re always happy to answer!

Hi.
Do you tested the board with a twin +1?
What's your feedback?
Thanks
Good music choice 👌
Thanks 🤙🏽

Another sick clip! Ripping on that thing. Are these Rasta quads in medium? And you would do the Endorfins thrusters in large?
Yep! Primarily use the quads though, don’t swap it over to a thruster often

I was listening without watching and was thinking wtf but all good now l check it out
Cool tunes
ripping. what deck pad are you using? i'm looking for one narrow enough that the edges don't bend over the chine on rail of the tail.

Where abouts was this footage from mainly?

What kind of traction pad do you have on that board? Is that one of the FireWire Traction pads?
Looks like a FW lowrider
I’m down to this or a revo for next board purchase……..know anyone you can borrow one from? 😉
Revo looks epic as well! What volume would ya ride in the Mash Up? Let us know if you find a Revo demo, keen to try it too ahah
I deciding between Revo and Mash-up. What board did you end up getting?
