I totally agree with the last tip, which is the most important one as well - just chill. I got the game two months ago and was super addicted to this and time-traveling like crazy (gotta get all the recipes I missed ya know). The result is... I was burnt out. I didn't enjoy the game anymore, everything seems like a job needs to be done instead of something that I have having fun with. That's when I realized I took the fun out of the game. Now I just play whenever I want, if I miss something, then I miss it; if I don't feel like terraforming, I don't. Island is still gonna be there tomorrow, you don't need to rush it and design everything in a day.

@@imaniwilliams5376 you obviously didn't read thoroughly what Sapphi was saying. Either that or you never played new leaf. You can't upgrade your slots in the older animal crossing games, new horizons is the first game you were able to do that.
Sorry this isn’t a tip, I just wanted to share a story about the time I accidentally buried 99k bells in a money hole. When I realized what I had done I was like 😬 so I did a few minutes of research and basically it was saying that it wasn’t impossible to get that 3x the amount of bells back when you bury that much, but usually it’ll go with the default and give 30k as it would if you had buried 10k in the hole. So I was like “shit I just lost 99k bells, I feel so stupid.” So three days go by, I’ve been watching this tree grow and I was soooo fucking nervous to go see if I had gotten lucky or not. I go to shake the tree and then I look at the amounts in the bags and they all say 99’000, in total I got 297,000. I think that was the most lucky I’ve ever gotten in animal crossing
The hype was so intense about this game that many of us end up rushing like an ldiot. Like me... I have no regrets but now I wish I could have a second island just to go with my own peace through all the content again.
Happy Blue ME TOOO- I modded my switch just to get max bells, but like I already did everything 😭 I almost have all bugs, fish, n fossils- Legit the only time I play the game is to give people bells on nookazon, and tbh I just wanna decorate my island and home, and catch fish, but I already did it- 😔
@@antonetteallen2194 I think it's 50/50? bc I've gotten two bottles in one day recently and was like tf? So it does happen, but very rarely possibly, like maybe a random spawn at a random time
Chase: "Yes, you can sell the flowers for a very tiny bit of money. But as you know it's really not going to add up to a lot" Me: *cleans up my island and gets 18k from the flowers ;-;*
A tip if you’re trying to get villager’s photos: So generally, you get these photos after giving your villagers gifts everyday or almost everyday. Depending on the personality type, it may take longer or shorter. 1) wrap the presents! At the Nook’s store, in the same cabinet you buy tools, you can also buy wrapping paper- and that adds an additional friendship point to your gift. 2) the best gifts for villagers also depend on villager type, but they also have to be more than 3000 or 4000 bells. 3) this is what I do, and it works pretty well- after accessing the fossils I’ve collected, I sell the ones that are less than 3000 bells, and I wrap the rest for gifts to villagers. That way I’m not constantly spending money on gifts, and they’re so big they won’t mess up the aesthetic of the villagers’ houses. And if you’re still collecting fossils for your collection, this could help out with that too!
The best gift to give is to make the iron wall lamp, it only takes 4 iron and I think 2 clay, make them daily and wrap them, they give you the highest friendship amount and I very quickly got all my villagers photos. Best part they won’t hang them in their house and they can’t wear them lol
I just go to Harvey’s island and take a group photo with everyone on my island and then I unlock the option to print out pics of each one of my residents
Lucy gave me her picture today, the first one I've gotten 🥺 she was only the third person on my island but I still love her so much! I think she's the easiest to buy for, and that's why I could get her all those nice things. I love Lucy so much 🥰🥰
Another tip is to be careful of what you gift your villagers. They'll wear/place any clothes/furniture items you gift/sell them and it could "ruin" their aesthetic if that's something you care about. Additionally if you give them too many items they'll start getting rid of stuff in their house. It's best to just gift them fruit/pumpkins to boost friendship points
Early on in the game I was going to give my villager a fruit but I forgot it and didn’t want to give nothing so I gave her a cardboard box and it’s still proudly displayed in her house lollll
Adding to tip 4: bury 30,000 instead of 10,000 bells. There's a 30 % chance that you won't get three 10,000 bell bags but three 30,000 bell bags, so you get 90,000. And even if you don't hit that 30 % chance you'll still get three 10,000 bell bags and lose nothing because you just get your 30,000 bells back :)
Also, if you listen to Isabelles announcements, and she says her horoscope says it’s her lucky day, you can bury 99,000 bells and have a higher chance of the bags being 99,000 bells each!
i’m upset about not knowing until months in that u have to grow the money tree in the glowing spot. i used to deliberately fill the holes and i’m so upset about that 😭
Additional tip on getting DIYs from your villagers: In a day you can get up to three DIYs because each day there'll be three different villagers crafting in their houses. I haven't checked the exact time, but it's divided by morning/noon, afternoon, night
Tip 12: I actually recently reset my island with the 'just play and have fun' goal in mind. I always rushed to unlock terraforming and I spent more time decorating than actually playing and having fun and it caused me to not have fun anymore. So I reset and just taking it slow and it really is a lot more fun. Not to mention a villager I was trying to get in my previous save (Tutu) I came across randomly in this new save. I also used to care about what color my airport is or what fruit I got and now I just roll with whatever I get. The airport is going to function the same, no matter what color it is, and it's virtual fruit, eventually I'll have all of them so it doesn't matter which one I start off with.
I started watching these videos cuz I started playing Animal Crossing late and most of my friends don’t play anymore :) it’s nice to have a little community here ❤️
It took me a while to discover that last tip. I always rushed, wanting to make my island perfect, time traveling all that schmuck, and then, I'd be tired and burntout and would restart my island. And I did this over and over for the past year. Until my most recent island, where I decided to just take it slow and let my island come along eventually, where I started having again. And I realized that the game has much more than I once felt all the way back then, and I feel like I can have the same moments I had when i first ever played new horizons. So it's good to let everyone know that their island doesn't have to be perfect, that it doesn't have to look like all those posts that have islands decorated like if jesus had been reborn their and just sprung the most beautiful masterpiece ever. That all you have to do is, enjoy the game for what it is
@@sugarkitty2008 I don’t know if there’s clips of it, I thought a lot of people already knew about this... but again like many other tiny details this game has. this might be one of those that a lot of people didn’t notice.
Don't sell the wasp nest. Thanks to the wasp-catching tips here I only sometimes miss one. After you get stung talk to a villager (I don't know if it matters but I talked to a sisterly villager--eta: personality doesn't matter--I started a second character, he got stung and the first villager he talked to gave him the recipe) and they'll give you the recipe for medicine. It uses the wasp nest and 3 weeds, so you can keep some on hand for when you or a villager need it.
also sometimes if you talk to a villager while your eye is still swollen they will just give you medicine! it almost made me tear up the first time it happened lolol
I wish I chose the right map when I first started ngl.. now I’m stuck deciding whether I should reset or not, since my resident services is in a horrible location 😩😩😩 also hi blue gong gang what’s up
I made the same mistake and when I first started I didn’t think I would have to share an island with my sister I thought I got my own....and now we fight over what our island should look like and it’s such a pain....
@@MrsChangalang I wish I would have known that sooner, that’s is a super smart idea, but we’ve had the game since March and we have already fully upgraded and stuff and it would probably be a pain because my little brother is also in the island but he hates the game, but he won’t let us remove him so idk what’s going on but thank you for advice!!!!😊
Ikr I got all the patterns in like two or three weeks so now when I talk to her she says *have you noticed it’s getting warmer or is it just that I’m making shorter sleeves* IN THE MIDDLE OF W I N T E R
If u bury 99k bells on the days Isabelle says she feels lucky u will get 3x99k , 3 different villagers will craft each day and u get more then one bottle on the beach each day
Burying 99k bells when she says that DOES NOT WORK I tried it 16 times and it never worked, its random, a 30% chance it will actually give 99kx3 but a 70% chance it gives just 10kx3
11:19 Tip 13: DON'T throw out or sell hybrid flowers. They can be used as great decoration on their own (as plants or picked flowers), and the picked flowers can be used in several DIY projects such as flower crowns, wreaths, baskets, and carts! And if you don't want them, you can give them to somebody else so that they can grow or pick their own hybrids. A win-win situation for everybody. You get rid of your unwanted hybrid and somebody else now has a chance to have their own cute hybrids.
Also, don’t forget, there’s two opportunities to go to a neighbours house while they’re crafting. Once in the AM, and then in the PM. It’ll be a different neighbour and of course a different DIY
There's also the tip that you can delete your island flag, phone case, and eyebrow designs once you've put them where you want them to go! Even if you delete the designs they won't disappear from your flag or whatever it is.
One more tip is along the same lines of CJ and Flick, when you get the ability, go to the islands and weed them. It won’t take up much room in your inventory, and if you store them in your house inventory and do it over and over you can sell your weeds to Leif when he comes. It isn’t much, but it’d hardly an inconvenience.
Chase: "Yes, you can sell the flowers for a very tiny bit of money. But as you know it's really not going to add up to a lot" Me: recently sold a bunch of flowers overtaking my island that added up to 10,000 bells (and that was with the discounted sell price of the drop box)
Adding to the Flick and C.J tip; you don’t have to wait for the bug-off or fishing tournament to sell bugs and fish. They buy bugs and fish for the same amount when they’re visiting your islands as daily npc’s too. Though you have to finish C.J’s fishing challenge before he’ll buy your fish.
This was the first time I'd seen any of your videos. Just wanted to say, I LOVE the look of your island with the Imperial fencing and such. It is gorgeous. Of course everyone's islands on RUclips seem to look better than mine, but even while gathering tips and implementing some, I still enjoy the fact the island is mostly my own ideas.
Chase! New sub here! Thank you so much for the tips in this video. I’m brand new to ACNH, bought it three days ago. I’ve seen so many beautiful and epic islands on social media. I have high anxiety, and I was getting really stressed trying to plan out island, reading all the resources I could on ACNH, trying to think of impressive island plans. Your last tip was my absolute favorite and most helpful one. It reminded me that AC is designed to be *enjoyed*, I can take it at my pace, and to have fun while I’m playing. Thank you so much, Chase. I’m going to check out the Discord community too!
Before digging up the flowers, pick the blossoms. The plants themselves don't sell for much, but the blossoms sell for between 40 bells (for common flowers, like the colors you can get from seeds) to 1000 (for rare flowers like gold roses and blue roses). Also, one friend of mine sets flowers aside for picking blossoms for crafting, so that the flowers with the bare stems don't mess up the planned design.
The invisible path is also great for stopping things like fossils spawning in places you dont want! (Like a cliff thats just decoration and a pain to climb up to)
this was definitely very helpful I got animal crossing for Christmas and there’s so many things that I would have never known if it wasn’t for RUclips so thank you! ☺️
More than two ways to get DIYs. Don't forget you can get DIYs from balloons too, and a select few are available at Nook's Cranny (mostly for tools, but you could also get all the Turkey Day DIYs for a few days after the event). As for the money spot and growing bell trees, you can also dig the tree up right away if you don't like where it is. Some people think you have to leave it there, you don't. You can stand directly in front of the tree to catch the wasp. It doesn't have to be 45 deg. angle.. Carrying the trash bin is an interesting idea. I've heard of carrying the crafting bench, but not a trash bin. Personally, I'm too miserly and want the money (pittance though it may be), so I sell them. Lol! Speaking of selling, I think someone else mentioned this, but you can pick the flower, then dig up the stems to get more money (the Nooklings will pay you for both). Totally agree with taking it slow. Playing it for hours on end and trying to get the perfect island (completed and looking how you want), is a recipe for burnout.
Thank you for sharing these tips. I sadly, have not seen this until now but I am very glad I did. The tip about the clear path square and keeping flowers in their place is something I had not heard of and I am very excited to add this to my island design. Again, Thank you for doing all of this for so many. *Nods* You are appreciated.
The Sable side quest kind of existed in previous games! I don't remember if in NL she gave you anything, but she'd eventually become your friend. Before Sable there was Brewster in the coffee shop in WW, who I miss dearly :(
I love the last tip ♥️♥️ I’ve recently started to play and I compare myself to players that have been here for more than a year and that’s not fun. Thanks for reminding that♥️
I believe if your striving for a 5- star island, your supposed to have a certain amount of trees . How many? I don't remember, Google that info, but if you don't care about the ratings then your gold!
Also another thing I discovered is with the mario pipes I have one near my house and one near nooks cranny and I carry one so if I can't be bothered running back I put down the pipe where I am to go back to those places, and can go back and collect it later
Completely agree with the last time. I've played since launch, and when I got my OLED Switch a few weeks ago I decided to start fresh. Thoroughly enjoying the simpler times and taking my time 😁
as a new player this is much appreciated!! i was grinding the first few days, trying to pay off my loans and unlock terraforming as quick as possible and it was already kinda taking the fun out of the game. so i'm gonna take it slow from here on😊 thank you for all the tips🧡
That wasp thing (tip #9) also works great when you’re directly in front of the tree, just not at the side. By standing at the 45 degree angle, you risk be(e)ing (see what I did?) too far away and you might fail the catch.
Nice balloon save at the end of your video 😂😱💪🏻 Also, to add on to the shaking trees tip; each day two random non-fruit trees have a furniture item hidden in them, which is another great way to build up that catalog!
Ive been planning to come back here after i figured out sable & that has got to me the most useful freaking tip i can’t believe not alot of people know about it, we dont have much room for custom designs as it is this is amazing 💕
What i like about this island is the beaches are clear and the island isnt to overly decorated or terraformed. Sometimes peoples island's while cute to me are super cluttered and super filled to the brim with every inch of space decorated with something. I think the beaches should have space to be free and clear and open for the most part.
A tip for collecting the money from the money trees- since it takes a few days for the money tree to actually grow, you might forget where it was. I dig up all my money trees and put them in a specific place. When it grows and I collect, I chop it down and leave the stump. That leaves a stump on which some bugs can spawn. When you've planted a few money trees in that spot, you'll be able to cycle through - plant the tree, let it grow, collect, chop, leave the stump for a couple days, then dig it up to plant another money tree. You'll always have a tree in each stage of growth if you find the money spot and plant a tree every day. If you skip playing some days, you may end up with multiple trees bearing money at once. :D
So I have an add on for the first tip, if you check in the place where you see all of the things that you have caught (I already forget what it is called) there will be a mark that looks like an owl, and that marks the fact that you have already donated
this is such a great video! i wish i’d have seen something like this when i first started! and there was a couple of tips in here that were news to me even now- 9 months down the line 🙈💙
I just ordered new horizons online and I feel like you've blessed me a lot of tips that I will for sure do when I finally play the game, especially that last tip. I'm so excited!
For the wasp net tip, I find a way is simple then a 45 angle. Which is "stand right under the tree". The shocking face effort works pretty well, so you won't missed the falling wasp net.
Man I kinda miss this game but I’ve done everything I wanted... made my 5 star island, got my fav villagers and completed the catalogue (tho I think they added new stuff since june haha) Always going to remember this as my quarantine game haha I LOVED the trading aspect of this game, I think 200 out of 400 hours I spent on this game were just me on other people island getting diys, trading, cataloging or selling turnips haha Now there’s significantly less people playing, so Im glad I played it at its peak time. It was also always fun to look at other people’s island through Chase’s channel and its nice to see that you still make vids about this game ^^
Cool video! Just one thing though. You actually don’t have to be at an exact angle for the wasp trick to work. You just have to approach your tree from the front and make sure the two spaces beside you are free of clutter. Your villager actually automatically turns to look at the nest regardless of which way it falls, so as there is a space for the nest to fall nest to you, you’ll villager will be facing the correct direct and you can catch it just by spamming A.
Tip 1 is so helpful! I always make the mistake of giving Blathers fossils, bugs or fish that I already gave and now I know how to give him fossils, bugs and fish which I haven't given him yet all thanks to you!!
You have a super calming voice. thanks for the video! I had to get a replacement switch unexpectedly and lost my island as it was saved to the device, but I’m okay with that because I wasn’t quite happy where I was anyways.
I totally agree with that last tip!! I got the game when it came out and I haven’t time travelled at all and I absolutely don’t regret it lmao. It’s so much better in my opinion to just play it day by day!
Returning to animal crossing after months and I just restarted my island to play again these tips have been really helpful for getting back into everything thank you ❤️
CJ and Flick are the reason I paid for the extended storage in my house. Also, I don't carry a workbench around with me, I have around 15 of them placed around the island so I'm never far away from one.
Here’s a tip: there’s a way to reject DIYS from villagers, all you need to do is keep a bunch of weeds in your pockets and before asking what they’re making fill out your pockets so they won’t give it to you and if you don’t already have the DIY you just make room for it Edit: it can be anything that you can stack in your inventory I just use weeds because you can store a lot of them in a stack and they’re readily available
This is going to be one of those moments when I ask a question and then when you give me the answer I'm going to say "of course that's it!" but I don't know how to make an invisible pattern. I can clear a pattern but then it's a white spot. I don't know how to make it invisible.
This video is amazing. It made me appreciate simple things and stop time travel, and focus at enjoying the game at slower pase. As intended. Also...so many great tips I rly did not know about. Awesome! Keep it up! Oh and one thing, it's so easy to listen to you.
the first tip is so good, and for those who share a switch with their siblings like i do: check your critterpedia and look for the donated symbol. sometimes my sister will catch a new fish before i do, and i used to not know that she donated it until blathers told me. so start checking your critterpedia to see if your sibling/siblings have donated any new items that you've caught 😊
I'm always carrying a trash can with me, but I never heard this from another players, I just figured it out for myself :) It's easy and I don't mind "losing" that little money I would get if I sell my garbages (unwanted flowers and weeds) :D Oh, and the crafting bench! The first time I've got the DIY for that, I crafted 2 of them. One for my tent/house and one for my inventory :) I've never heard that from others, too! This video will be SO MUCH help for the beginners!
Hey Chasé, I wouldn’t mind you making other types of content! I love your animal crossing videos but it does get a small bit stale, so I’d love to see you playing more games you enjoy! Maybe even something similar like the Minecraft streams you did a while ago!
As someone who just started, tip #12 is great! I felt like I have been rushing lately and have felt frustrated that I don't have much going on yet, so thank you for the reminder!
For the wasp nests, I catch all 5 every day and then save up the nests to craft them into the honeycomb wall/flooring since DIY furniture/items sell for 2x the value of the materials it took to make them at Nook's Cranny! So wasp nests sell for 300 bells, but honeycomb DIY flooring/wallpaper sells for 3,600 bells since it takes 6 wasp nests to craft 👌🏼

A tip if you’re trying to get villager’s photos:
So generally, you get these photos after giving your villagers gifts everyday or almost everyday.
Nice tip I really love how this works.
The best gift to give is to make the iron wall lamp, it only takes 4 iron and I think 2 clay, make them daily and wrap them, they give you the highest friendship amount and I very quickly got all my villagers photos. Best part they won’t hang them in their house and they can’t wear them lol
@@chelleay I just give my villagers a stack of three pieces of wrapped non native fruit.
It's best to just gift them fruit/pumpkins to boost friendship points
i give them fossils that are too big to fit in their house. worth a lot and they don’t mess up the villager houses either
a tip i learned too late for some of my villagers :(
I laughed at the fact that they’ll use any item you give them
Early on in the game I was going to give my villager a fruit but I forgot it and didn’t want to give nothing so I gave her a cardboard box and it’s still proudly displayed in her house lollll
Not a bad tip! I may make a video on those special days where you can get more, but this is a good rule of thumb I may include in that! It evens out
Mathematically 10,000 is the best amount to bury
Also, if you listen to Isabelles announcements, and she says her horoscope says it’s her lucky day, you can bury 99,000 bells and have a higher chance of the bags being 99,000 bells each!
i wish i was good at math lmaooo... this tip sounds good. i will try it.
I've been burying 50K bells every day. It's always exciting when you get 3 50K bags.
I talk to Sable every single day, even after I obtained all the patterns from her. She’s just so sweet 🥺

Additional tip on getting DIYs from your villagers: In a day you can get up to three DIYs because each day there'll be three different villagers crafting in their houses.
I haven't checked the exact time, but it's divided by morning/noon, afternoon, night
I know that at 11am and 7 pm there are diferent villagers giving diy's, but i did not know there was a third one, ima check that out. Thanks
The invisible design is really genius!
Re diys at the beach: make sure to check the beach in the evening as well since there are some days when you get a 2nd diy bottle :)
The airport is going to function the same, no matter what color it is, and it's virtual fruit, eventually I'll have all of them so it doesn't matter which one I start off with.

about wasps, I believe that it's enough to just approach the tree from the front, it doesn't have to be a specific angle :)
I ran into the water when I had my wetsuit on!!!! they didn't sting me!!!
Yeah
Sable is the best and everyone who thinks otherwise is mean. She is the best NPC out there.
I beg to differ with Leif but I suppose
That all you have to do is, enjoy the game for what it is
It’s a metaphor for life
8:19 Another thing about the wasps, I noticed this but if you run up the tree that has them. you will see a wasp fly away, but they are still there.
I've never seen that before! I'll have to pay closer attention next time~

It uses the wasp nest and 3 weeds, so you can keep some on hand for when you or a villager need it.
also sometimes if you talk to a villager while your eye is still swollen they will just give you medicine! it almost made me tear up the first time it happened lolol
i always save at least one nest, but otherwise i sell the rest

Tip 13: DON'T throw out or sell hybrid flowers.
But as you know it's really not going to add up to a lot"
Me: recently sold a bunch of flowers overtaking my island that added up to 10,000 bells (and that was with the discounted sell price of the drop box)
Another tip you can look in the bug and fish app if you gave it to blavers it will have a little owl on it
You can use the wasps nest to make medicine too
This was the first time I'd seen any of your videos. Just wanted to say, I LOVE the look of your island with the Imperial fencing and such. It is gorgeous. Of course everyone's islands on RUclips seem to look better than mine, but even while gathering tips and implementing some, I still enjoy the fact the island is mostly my own ideas.
Wow carrying a trash can is life-changing! Thank you! I also didn’t know about the sped up crafting or blank design codes, so helpful!
I got my switch and NH over the holidays so this video is a Godsend. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
For the wasp one you can also stand directly in front of the tree if the 45degree angle is too hard to position!! It works too :)
Just got this game (FINALLY) on Christmas and this has been a huge help! Thank you! 🙏 Love your content!
Thank you so much for the tips! Been playing consistently since getting the Switch this Christmas and we all need all the help we can get!
"take it slow" is the best tip :D

I love the last tip ♥️♥️ I’ve recently started to play and I compare myself to players that have been here for more than a year and that’s not fun. Thanks for reminding that♥️
Here's another tip. Keep only 7 trees on your island. 5 will be Wasps trees, and 2 will have furniture when you shake it.
Wow this is the underrated tip I've found in comments. That is going to save so much time in shaking those trees on my island.
I personally never shook my trees hehe I just shook trees when I went NMT island hunting
But forest island...
But aren't you missing out on the tree's that drop a 100 bells?
Nice balloon save at the end of your video 😂😱💪🏻
Also, to add on to the shaking trees tip; each day two random non-fruit trees have a furniture item hidden in them, which is another great way to build up that catalog!
Ive been planning to come back here after i figured out sable & that has got to me the most useful freaking tip i can’t believe not alot of people know about it, we dont have much room for custom designs as it is this is amazing 💕
Omg now I'm going to use these tips to make my island better lol
Happy today everyone! Stay safe and healthy and know you are loved :)
Tip 1 "Yes" bonus detail: There's a similar functioning text line for sea creatures from diving too, but it isn't specifically "yes".
Man I kinda miss this game but I’ve done everything I wanted... made my 5 star island, got my fav villagers and completed the catalogue (tho I think they added new stuff since june haha)
Always going to remember this as my quarantine game haha I LOVED the trading aspect of this game, I think 200 out of 400 hours I spent on this game were just me on other people island getting diys, trading, cataloging or selling turnips haha
Now there’s significantly less people playing, so Im glad I played it at its peak time.
