As someone who's been a big fan of Trolls since the first movie, the fandom blowing up like this is a lot to take in tbh. Don't get me wrong I LOVE that these movies are finally getting positive attention after years of hate and that there are tons of new fans, but I just didn't expect it to get THIS big so fast y'know? If you want a very long and very thorough fic about broppy's entire relationship, before and after they got together, Ive currently been reading Picturebook romance by Dreamsinger. I havent even dived much into other fics on ao3 yet b/c i'm continuously just reading that one rn ahdahf Warning: It does have smut but i'm like 30 chapters in and havent hit anything super explicit yet so you could always stop be4 that. And the author does switch to 1st person only for Branch's POV (which was almost a deal breaker for me, i hate 1st person😭 ) but they explain why and its not bad one you get used to it.

As someone who's been in the fandom since the first trolls movie released, I never thought that the greatest fandom ever made would blow up and now here we are. I can finally reveal my "childish" obsession for real
I dislike seeing people say things like “Didn’t we all agree that the trolls movies sucks?” Like dude not everyone did just because you didn’t like it and you’ve heard others not like it doesn’t mean everyone didn’t like it. I will admit that I wasn’t obsessed until the third movie but I still liked the others. And even if that were true who cares if the third movie got suddenly hyped up.
I watch the first movie way back in 2016 with my mum and I cried so much I don't know what scene did it to me likely at the end, but I think the reason why was that year was hell for me so to see a movie full of hope and joy just was something I really needed at the time. But I had no idea a fandom would spawn this massive from it so at some point I need to dive into it and see all the cool creative stuff that's been made and such.
I mean, I always found the first two movies really fascinating in concept, I loved the idea of a society where one person convinced EVERYONE that you can only experience emotion via this very specific thing that I'm in control of, literally brainwashing an entire species into thinking they NEED her to exist in the full scope of...Well, being a fully rounded feeling _being,_ and the second movie fascinated me with it's commentary on how not every music type is for everyone, but it's important to have them all, because music is human expression and all humans are different. I also kinda just revolve my life around music and it's part of the core of my being at this point so naturally I got super invested in these stories, whoops
Still haven't seen the movies, but my fave fanart is still Velvet wearing Adagio Dazzle's outfit from Equestria Girls because the minute I saw Velvet I KNEW someone was gonna do a fusion of her and Adagio. It just fits so well!

As someone who's mainly an AO3 person, I do recommend "The Eldest and the Youngest." Very good fanfic, and yeah there is an "I just lost a limb' trauma mini-arc. There's also "You're all I ever needed", which is where everyone thinks their brothers are dead until suddenly they get a clue that others are alive and find each other, lots of angst and hope, they're almost to finally reuniting with Branch. Also, Branch is Autistic compilations live rent-free in my head.

As someone who's been a big fan of Trolls since the first movie, the fandom blowing up like this is a lot to take in tbh. Don't get me wrong I LOVE that these movies are finally getting positive attention after years of hate and that there are tons of new fans, but I just didn't expect it to get THIS big so fast y'know? Also that it took this franchise 3 movies for it to happen is interesting to say that least (especially when the fandom's been saying these movies were good the whole time, but now it's "cool" and thus okay for everyone to like)

As someone who's been in the fandom since the first trolls movie released, I never thought that the greatest fandom ever made would blow up and now here we are. I can finally reveal my "childish" obsession for real
I dislike seeing people say things like “Didn’t we all agree that the trolls movies sucks?” Like dude not everyone did just because you didn’t like it and you’ve heard others not like it doesn’t mean everyone didn’t like it. I will admit that I wasn’t obsessed until the third movie but I still liked the others. And even if that were true who cares if the third movie got suddenly hyped up.

I watch the first movie way back in 2016 with my mum and I cried so much I don't know what scene did it to me likely at the end, but I think the reason why was that year was hell for me so to see a movie full of hope and joy just was something I really needed at the time. But I had no idea a fandom would spawn this massive from it so at some point I need to dive into it and see all the cool creative stuff that's been made and such.

I mean, I always found the first two movies really fascinating in concept, I loved the idea of a society where one person convinced EVERYONE that you can only experience emotion via this very specific thing that I'm in control of, literally brainwashing an entire species into thinking they NEED her to exist in the full scope of...Well, being a fully rounded feeling _being,_ and the second movie fascinated me with it's commentary on how not every music type is for everyone, but it's important to have them all, because music is human expression and all humans are different. I also kinda just revolve my life around music and it's part of the core of my being at this point so naturally I got super invested in these stories, whoops

As someone who's mainly an AO3 person, I do recommend "The Eldest and the Youngest." Very good fanfic, and yeah there is an "I just lost a limb' trauma mini-arc. There's also "You're all I ever needed", which is where everyone thinks their brothers are dead until suddenly they get a clue that others are alive and find each other, lots of angst and hope, they're almost to finally reuniting with Branch. Also, Branch is Autistic compilations live rent-free in my head.
