For a reasonable and not goofy looking crit build I like to run either a hammer, greathammer, or fist weapon and then a misericorde in the back. Go for as many charged attacks as I can.
bro he didnt invesnt self poisoning, also claiming Miyazaki saw his video and that's why the nebula was nerffed. What is he on? Dude has way to much self importance
He is on some sort of drugs that need taken away
Appreciate the work you put into these
I dunno when it got nerfed, but wing of astel definitely did get nerfed.
Somewhere between 1.06 and now.
holy jesus this is great stuff. Thanks for the incite very helpful, this guy is a genius. My favorite part is the very end where you wouldn't recommend this build because your missing out on night comet and carian slicer. Incredible
You mentioning mv shows me the depth of research you did on the video I play both monster hunter and Elden Ring
That guy stole my idea after removing my comment, and my comment was basically telling him that Glintblade Phalanx is better than Nebula in terms of stance breaking. It, for some snowflake reason, pissed him off so much that he instantly blocked me without even trying to have a discussion, and the best part is, he did steal my idea and switched to using Glintblade in his next video.
great video, i would suggest running intelligence-knot instead of barbed tear though and going 70 int to hit the 80 int softcap. the extra 7 points can be respecced into endurance to be able to wear gear capable of providing 51 poise, and the leftover points can be put into mind or dex based on preference... i would also replace erdtree favor with cerulean dagger (should typically outperform carian crest in terms of fp gain) or ritual sword talisman for more damage
you can also run a light weapon with golden vow aow for a little bit more damage if you really feel like it
also spellblade set and shard of alexander can be a good option if you're solely looking to maximize overall damage while still remaining crit focused, as it will boost nebula and perhaps glintblade phalanx aow which you'll be spamming a lot
great stuff dude
Do you have any recommendations for someone looking to make a crit build for PVE that mostly centers around close-range combat? I'm fairly close to endgame at this point, but I'm still searching for a way I'd most enjoy new game+. Early on, I decided I wanted to do a parry-centric build, but I've mostly abandoned it because of how few bosses can be parried. The second best option is poise breaking, but I've had trouble finding something that feels as skillful. Some ranged options, like Glintblade Phalanx, Ice Spear, and Rock Sling have been particularly effective, but they don't really feel rewarding. I think the closest I've found that I do enjoy is Impaling Thrust > R2 > Impaling Thrust with Great Swords, since the combo passes just over 80 poise and still has the close range style I enjoy. I've also had some fun using fists with quickstep, but I'm worried about how effective they'll be with such little range. Just wanted to leave a comment and see if there might be some options I haven't considered.
This is the most fun melee crit build I have played

What’s the full setup for the better Wings of Astel build you talked about at 14:39?
60 vigor, 17 dex, 79 int(at 125) wing of astel, endure caestus, spellblade set, magic scorpion charm, ritual sword, dragoncrest greatshield talisman and alexanders shard with the magic shrouding cracked tear and opaline hardtear should get you ~15,995 DPS with nearly full invulnerability to bosses attacks.
@@emeraldwolf7920 damn, thanks. I assume you just combo the wings of astel’s poise nuking attacks and keep riposting?
You actually don't want to riposte, you just want to keep using the Ash of war
@@emeraldwolf7920 ah I see, thanks
Not really a big deal. But @7:50 when he starts talking about the calculations. I think he should’ve said 140% instead of just 140, just for clarity. 400x140 is 56,000. But 400x1.4 or 140% is 560. Again not a big deal but I feel like people not good or familiar with math might get confused, like I did for a second until I realized what he meant by 140.
Apparently Great Runes are dishonest 😂
I found it strange how he claims to make an “honest build”, and caps himself to 125 as some form of virtue signaling.
Pretty sure it's just so he can use the soreseal and then squeal about using black flame's protection to overcome the physical damage absorption penalty, because everyone knows you don't use soreseals at 125 pvp, and that that is the only reason anyone would stay at 125.
@@common_undead Claims to make an “honest build”, and then claims he’s the one who invented self poisoning to proc buffs, the irony
anybody looking to people like syrobe for their OP build guides and not just watching actual elden ring challenge runners and adopting their tactics deserves exactly what they get

what if i came here and didn't know who syrobe is, just wanted to know more about elden ring?

You are ostensibly creating "accurate " builds and don't believe in drama, and yet, you are tearing into another content creator because of their lack of math. Fair enough, but I would ask you, have you tried reaching out to him to respectfully challenge his info; after all, I believe you present a solid argument, but why scream into the echo chamber when you might find a fruitful outcome with a direct debate. Just my thoughts, your video comes across almost personal. Not sure if you have history with him. Cheers.
I agree! i was like ok? Great vid but it came out in bad faith
👍
So you refute with data and make a video solely criticizing someone else’s build but you don’t actualize your theory in game to prove your build is superior?? Actions make believers you may be smart but you would make a terrible lawyer
As I said in the video patch 1.1 dropped before I was able to get in game footage.
you seen like a knowledgeable fellow in elden ring
find these corrections fascinating , and so funny !nice job perhaps you could help with my build , cheere Asa. uk.
How can I help you?
