They dropped lore hints in trailers several times, gehrman could have been showed as a replacement for the player character and for teasing the lore at the same time. Really hope the judge just mandates some therapy and treatment for the poor guy! Please don't give him more air time or joke about him being right in case he's actually watching and you're feeding his delusions. He needs help, nothing more
You might actually be correct. The entire thing reeks of "they're doing it on purpose to spite me", which is a common delusion. It actually reminds me of The Noid, a pizza mascot for Dominos, who stop existing because a schizophrenic individual with the name "Noid" believed he was being mocked specifically. This individual then went on to hold a Dominos at gunpoint and demand the CEO. Though he was stopped, he still put a gun to himself later in his apartment. As funny as this story might seem now, it may well be an indicator that the person raising the lawsuit is paranoid and in need of help. I hope that the court actually recognises that and finds some way to assist him, though I doubt they will due to it being irrelevant to the case. They will have no want nor need to follow up on this person's wellbeing.
No. You can file anything you want and as long as you cross your t's and dot your i's and have the paperwork in order, the court *has* to take it seriously. That's a nationwide thing there. So the guy put together a lawsuit enough to make it onto the docket, but all it's gonna take to destruct it is From Soft responding about their dev process where stuff's fluid up until the last minute.
So back in the original Mario Brothers on NES, there was a secret level we call -1 world. It's not supposed to exist, it's only exist because of a glitch. Now that's not to imply that it's done anything remarkable, because it's layout is identical to level 7-2, it's only really a different stage in name. And since the pipe at the end of the stage has no set warp point, it just reloads -1, so even if it felt like you stumbled into some secret alternative route, there's only the one -1. Now that hasn't stopped some REALLY smart and talented people with way to much time on their hands from succeeding at creating other glitched worlds by injecting their own code, and even figuring out how to inject that code with Remote Code Execution (using highly specific sequences of inputs on the controller, often frame perfect and faster than a human could do). But none of these levels "exist" in the game naturally, Minus 1 is a glitch on its own, and the levels generated with RCE are borderline ROM hacks. Either way, I think that's what this person (if they are real) is thinking of when they're talking about parallel worlds and approaching zero. But the fact of the matter is games don't work like NES games any more. NES games are a collection of small assets that are repeated in different combinations and drawn layer by layer as you scroll the screen. Theoretically, code can be altered to drawn completely new levels. Modern games load areas in fixed chunks, and assets are assigned to load in those chunks. The assets are more unique and specific to that place, and are saved as specific objects to be called into memory when the player triggers a flag that loads in the area. No simple rounding error would ever create an entirely new area and fill it with objects.
Well from what he’s saying it sounds like we already own EldenRing 2 and just haven’t figured out the steps to access it. I don’t think that’s the case but I do think some “Easter eggs” nowadays are so specific, I’m not sure how developers ever intended players to naturally figure them out. BUT IMAGINE if there was a questline found years after the games last update. Would be dope 😂
I’m gonna sue my city. They have been holding a annual event for years every August 1 for the past 30 years at my local park down the street and I was never informed of this on day one, I had to find out on their website or just happen to drive by and notice something going is going on . GRRRR.
When I heard this 4chan guy saying; "Ninja Genichiro concept art from the official artbook could be a hint that in parallel universe of Sekiro, meaning somehow completely hidden campaign of the game, Genichiro would be a ninja" Oh man... my god, this is... this is so dumb that I don't even know where to begin with.

The biggest question nobody is asking when these big conspiracies appear "To what end?". Why would a studio, primarily driven to retain players and make money, devote time, money and resources to an entire game sized piece of content (which is what the guy claims) and fence it off from players to where its not even accidently accessable. LOLWUT
and in other cases, when an answer is given to your question, it's just met with disbelief and admonishment. So what's the point in answering any questions? Doesn't matter if the answer could solve all the world's problems, most people won't change their mind even in the face of proof
This reminds me of the days before datamining was so prevalent when secret characters, endings and Easter Eggs were school bus ride talk. Fake shit, hacks and rumours running amok.
Those were fun times. Sometimes it was real little secrets and easter eggs, sometimes glitches, usually shit made up by that kid whose dad works at Nintendo, but it certainly gave games an air of mystery back then, like anything was possible. Honestly, FromSoft might be the only developer today whose games actually FEEL the way retro games used to feel in many ways. I know there are tons of retro-style indie games, but they feel like homages and tributes, very self-consciously retro, while FromSoft manages to actually have that old school game feel. I'm not sure what it is. But tht's why I try to never look anything up while playing, it's more fun to just come across randomly, or when I was playing the DLC at the same time as a friend and we were texting back and forth about our discovery and I had just beaten Messmer and (I thought) cleared the Shadow Keep when he texted me about finding a ladder down to a secret room at the burning boat part in the Shadow Keep, and I thought ooh, treasure And then it just kept going and kept going and kept going. Awesome experience. That actually felt like half a damn game artfully hidden away.
@@viljamtheninja Had the same experience with Leyndell in the first game. Absolutely wrecked me how well that level was designed, but then by total chance I found the sewers and they just... kept going forever, it seemed. Absolutely peak experience, really did feel like the old days when I'd have to have a guide open and notes on secrets friends had told me. All that to say I feel for this guy, as wild as his claim is. That magic is hard to let go of in this new era, I can see why he'd be so upset and feel so strongly about needing it confirmed.
Yeah bro if you shoot this part of the floor five times, walk into this corner for ten minutes, do five crouch jumps and stick yourself with a plasma grenade you'll get Recon Armor bro
So... game developers, who are frequently known for soul-crushing crunch periods that mess with their physical and mental health and their ability to meet their family, who are often forced to release unfinished products to keep up with corpo release schedules leading to often visibly half-assing many parts and assets of games, whose time is probably strictly managed by higher-ups for efficiency to increase maximum yield, are actually spending maybe 40% of development time on parts of the game no one ever plays? I feel like I have a fever
@viljamtheninja well, clearly this guy is missing the one thing that hurts when you get a headache that you clearly are experiencing from reading this dumb post in the first place.
Hint:it's called a brain. Can't have a headache if you don't have one. This is for the 4chan idiot, not the poster of this comment, in case that wasn't blatantly obvious.
I can see it. A suit for the game causing depression. After I beat the DLC as well as the first time I truly felt I was done with my first playthrough, there was a massive void. No game was able to satisfy me. Nothing really felt fun to hop into anymore as it just didnt compare. It truly took a month or so before I wanted to return to gaming. And now its happened again with the DLC. I knew once I've had my fill, there will be only me and the void.
bro, elden ring is one of those games that just let's you play, no emotions, no sad stories with melodramatic cutscenes or stretched dialogues. just you and the game, it's beautiful.
It's funny the other day I thought about this. Ever since I finished dark souls when I was like 15 and got confused like "why tf am I on fire" I never was the same. I always want to know more but that just makes me more mad and existential and sad. I really think there's a debate there. But nah this dude is just mad mad
I beat every boss except Malenia and Rada/beast within the first couple months of Elden Ring then just didn't touch it until the DLC came out because I couldn't bear to be done with the game
Even if it didn’t take extra time, money or energy, there is still no point in adding content that is inaccessible. The suer clearly suffers from paranoia and believes there are big conspiracies everywhere that must be solved like a puzzle. On a side note, anyone who sees supposed links and clues in big corporations and “satan” and everything are also extremely paranoid. If there was huge secrets companies and governments were hiding, why would they leave clues in their name and/or logo for us to figure out?? We don’t live in a puzzle game

But it would have to be executed perfectly, it’d be annoying if this idea was used for a game solely about parallel universes. The only way this would truly work to the great idea that it is is if someone makes a game just like normal, then after picks one spot from the game where u can visit after you beat it, and choose to build a whole parallel game from that, inside of that same game.
While I think cut content is always a bit of a tragedy, seeing how cool and elaborate some of these things were, and how much they would have added to these games, I truly think the only thing this guy is onto, is creating an elaborate psychosis and conspiracy for himself. Convincing yourself THAT STRONGLY, that a game company is hiding content and that not a single data-miner is being honest about it, is a fast track to developing psychosis.
He’s just proving Massachusetts courts are cognitively deficient

@@23Butanedione I guarantee that Boston is nicer than whatever shithole city you're from chief.
bruh that new mass gun control bill. disgusting that people in power want that and sad that people who dont have power support it.
Well he is an American so this doesn't surprise me at all.
So by this guy's logic Fromsoft made Elden Ring 2 but keeps it from players for shits and giggles instead of selling it to them?
Yeah, following his logic, they just keep it for themselves, lmao, like a bonus for developing the games.
By his logic, they sold it to fans, the players just aren’t good enough to unlock it
I’m gonna sue my city. They have been holding a annual event for years every August 1 for the past 30 years at my local park down the street and I was never informed of this on day one, I had to find out on their website or just happen to drive by and notice something going is going on . GRRRR.

Because it would be really funny.
But tht's why I try to never look anything up while playing, it's more fun to just come across randomly, or when I was playing the DLC at the same time as a friend and we were texting back and forth about our discovery and I had just beaten Messmer and (I thought) cleared the Shadow Keep when he texted me about finding a ladder down to a secret room at the burning boat part in the Shadow Keep, and I thought ooh, treasure
And then it just kept going and kept going and kept going.
I still remember the first time I heard about Arceus in Pokémon Platinum from my buddy. Good times!

So... game developers, who are frequently known for soul-crushing crunch periods that mess with their physical and mental health and their ability to meet their family, who are often forced to release unfinished products to keep up with corpo release schedules leading to often visibly half-assing many parts and assets of games, whose time is probably strictly managed by higher-ups for efficiency to increase maximum yield, are actually spending maybe 40% of development time on parts of the game no one ever plays?

I can see it. A suit for the game causing depression. After I beat the DLC as well as the first time I truly felt I was done with my first playthrough, there was a massive void. No game was able to satisfy me. Nothing really felt fun to hop into anymore as it just didnt compare. It truly took a month or so before I wanted to return to gaming. And now its happened again with the DLC. I knew once I've had my fill, there will be only me and the void.

The obvious question: _developing games cost money, why would big pubs spend resources to make assets/content... then not give you a way to use it?_

I hope the judge dismisses the case and then awards bandai legal fees. Just because it’s a waste of the courts and Bandai time.
Why bc you don’t agree? That’s what the courts are there for….by that logic we must also get rid of the courts and the police for all the time and money and crimes and innocents they have harmed and time they wasted on citizens…they aren’t that busy, and they seriously do not have anything better to do or they would be doing it. Sorry.
Developers should be inspired by this honestly. This debacle would would make a good game.. lol
It was done back in the PS1 already. Look up Persona 1, the Snow Queen Quest. Probably where his insanity comes from.
How did Miquella get Rahdan's soul when we had his remembrance?
While I think cut content is always a bit of a tragedy, seeing how cool and elaborate some of these things were, and how much they would have added to these games, I truly think the only thing this guy is onto, is creating an elaborate psychosis and conspiracy for himself. Convincing yourself THAT STRONGLY, that a game company is hiding content and that not a single data-miner is being honest about it, is a fast track to developing psychosis.
Because first you build a conspiracy for yourself, and then it fucks with your brain.
