Ok would be a 5/10 transfer. This has been a 2/10 transfer. He’s had maybe one run of consistently decent performances for the end of the season prior to the euros.

He isn’t really wrong. They can improve slightly but not loads. And it is very difficult to train people into different positions unless, like Tom said, u already have the correct skill set.

@@timmy5876funny enough arsene wenger had said something similar to that, think what toms saying there is some truth to it, wenger had said when you reach the age of 14 or 15 there is only a certain amount of where your potential can go, what youve learned before then is only what you can improve on and its very hard to learn something knew if its all you know, thats why you see a lot of midfielders be versatile in todays game compared to a striker or center back

Whilst Pepe wasn't great, what puts him above Sancho was the fact that he was instrumental in us winning the FA cup that year, whilst Sancho has done nothing of note.

Getting money back doesn't count in this debate, it's how successful the transfer was for the club, it takes into account price tag, & performances, nothing else

liverpool had a great team in all positions apart from 3 positions, gk cb and lb. Robertson out of nowhere was just amazing then in 6 months we got a world class keeper and cb so the team was amazing

You can't honestly call pepe an L and then say sancho is a flop especially when sancho is still at utd and pepe left arsenal in disgrace having done nothing to justify his £70m odd fee. Jury is still out on sancho, he's clearly been going through a rough time mentally so to call him a flop seems more than a little bit unfair.
Pepe got 26 goals and 13 assists in 106 appearances during his time there. I think they are right to put him in L, he wasn't a complete flop, he just nowhere justified his price tag of 72m. So far, Sancho has 7 goals and 4 assists in 51 appearances. Half the appearances of Pepe and not even close to half the output. All while costing slightly more. So far, Sancho is a flop

it’s from 15 onwards that physical ability cannot improve, things like sprint speed or reaction speeds. To say u can’t improve on things like finishing is so idiotic, look at lewandowski, salah, son etc they all were decent players but lacked shooting technique so they worked on it and are now some of the best in the world at it
you can improve physicallity too, they get stronger etc, speed takes alot longer to improve but basically aything can improve, like kane used to be rlly fat hence why he got kicked out of arsenal so im sure he has improved his physicallity too

Can’t really rate players coming from abroad till halfway through their second season imo. Seen so many players getting berated in their first season that’s nowhere near finished and not even given a chance to settle in.
