This is the kind of video I need to hear. Im in a semi long distance relationship with my gf for about 3 months now where I see her anywhere from once a week to once every 3 weeks and I still find it hard having conversations and just natural banter with her and there’s always so much awkward and uncomfortable silences and I know it’s my social anxiety and insecurities as well as hers getting in the way. Edit: I’m 15 now and I came to realize that having a gf in middle school is a damn waste of time. Just hang with the boys and have fun before highschool, all your going to do with that gf is just talk awkwardly and people will judge you for it. I once had a girl tell me I’m way too much, and disconnected herself from me. A couple months after, I got a girlfriend, still the same me. We talked for more months just being my very same self that’s too much, but she liked that. Two years down the line she’s still around, with a couple issues there and there of cause but communication helped out, and I still appreciate every single moment that I can make her laugh or smile, and we happen to do multiple of what’s in the tips, but it’s all natural, just remember she has to put effort as well. I have a girlfriend and she stays a bit away, Its my friends sister (Dont worry she was okay with me going out with her sister). She comes up during the holidays to see her sister (my friend). We have never met irl but we call and text eachother constantly. I just think shes perfect. Yeah, so if that's the case, try going out and do something together like an activity (instead of just sitting down and eating). Activities can range from playing sports, video games, board games, bike riding, etc... Find out what she is interested in doing and go out and do it together. This way, it'll be less awkward.
