Watched this last night and tried the Tripp burger today, fucking amazing. Had ketchup on the first one, the flavor of the meat came through, had to go back for a second with just meat cheese and bun, easily the best burger I’ve had this year. Worth the 20 mile drive, bonus points for being on the same lot as a Trader Joe’s.

Same. We have a Hispanic dish called Bistec Encebollado which is similar, a thin slice of beef steak with a lot of onions on it.
In Miami the Cubans have a go to sandwich made out of it called Pan con Bistec. Curious to see how our distant cousins turned it into a burger.

I really wish they had included the Apple Pan in there as more than just a quick mention. That place is LA hamburger history and the fucking bomb. Less is more when it comes to burgers fro me, but having lived in LA for a few years in the late 90s, it truly is the burger capitol of the country. And I grew up and live in NYC.
