Steve has driven all 3 of these hybrid HyperCars. The question I have is "how the hell do you go back to driving anything else after essentially experiencing driving ecstasy." An absolute purely mind blowing heart pumping automotive threesome is what the 918, p1 & LaFerrari are. I'm glad they all exist. I love them all. Sadly probably never drive any but knowing they exist makes me happy.
Alex Zevallos, I would say that, thanks to there existing the future sports cars will benefit with that. And then we all can have a piece of that experience (in a small dose).

LaFerrari is undoubtedly one of the best cars ever made!

I guess Mclaren regrets that race mode as it clearly shows Ferrari's superiority.
Really nice review Steve! Very interesting to hear about the LaFerrari's accessible and friendly driving dynamics! I liked the P1 the best but this video is making the LaFerrari start to grow on me. How can you beat the sound of a wonderful Ferrari engine? Thanks again guys!
HigherPlanes I didn't knew that... But since I was a kid,I like Ferrari. Back than there was a TV series , I think it was called Miami vice,I'm not sure,Don Johnson was a lead role. And in that series,he drove a Ferrari ,I think 340 spider, and I loved that car. I like Lamborghini too because of their aggressive look.
Miodrag Dimitrijevic Well there are a lot of similarities between the body style of the pagani and the LaFerarri and I think Ferarri copied many aspects of that design.
HigherPlanes I'm not gonna say that it is not possible :) True, there are a lot of similarities between those two cars. I'm a huge Ferrari fan, and that's the reason I didn't pay any attention to that possibility :) .
I've absolutely fallen in love with the P1 and I truly do think it will be the definitive performance car of all time (due to numerous trends in the industry and peaks in technology), but this LaFerrari undeniably has more soul than the P1.
Well it used to be a fact. Then they hired germans... So they aren't unreliable anymore. They're just... boring, and safe? *tosses a few into the German car cliche swear jar*
I love how Porsche, McLaren, and Ferrari all managed to come up with the same hybrid hypercar idea yet all go in distinctly different directions. The other two have seemed to go for a more genuine hybrid experience (plug-in charging, all electric mode, multiple electric motors and electric AWD in Porsche's case etc.) Ferrari has opted to use hybrid power purely for added power. I find it amazing they are not even acknowledging that this is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine. It's a good mixture of old style 'no replacement for displacement' and new technology. It returns rather rubbish fuel economy numbers but (as I'm sure many of you reading will say) who cares.
Such a pleasure to watch Autocar, and great job Steve! Looking forward to your sincere response to the question everyone is asking. Thanks again for an amazing video! Anyone else ready for a P1 vs. 918 vs LaFerrari video?
That car is absolutely brilliant. The 918 looked too conservative and while the P1 also looked pretty hot IMO, This LaFerrari is the best looking. The P1 sounds brilliant for a turbocharged engine but this car sounds absolutely mental which is what you want from a Hypercar. But it doesn't really matter because the P1 and LaFerrari are both sold out and you had to meet a extremely high criteria to even have the chance to own them and although the 918 is brilliant in it's own right, it doesn't quite have the level of magic that the Mclaren and Ferrari have
Veyron SS, McLaren P1, Porsche 918, LaFerrari and Koenigsegg One:1 track test needs to happen. Get together with Evo, Motor Trend, Drive and Top Gear and make it happen!!!
Personal feelings and preferences of everyone aside, the P1, 918, and LaFerrari are in a league of their own. No production car is faster than them. Appreciate the technology and pure beastness of them. TOP SPEED MEANS NOTHING FYI your car can go 260, big fucking woop. Theres like 2 places in the world where you can get to that speed.
Congratulations guys, great job! I must admit, after the horrible P1 review I was afraid you'd mess this up but you didn't. This was absolutely great! Stunning car!
I'm American and I absolutely love British car reviews, they are the best. They are just so much more real and passionate about the driving experience and give great feedback. American reviews are like listening to robots bitch and complain about a lack of cup holders, interior colors or some electronic crap that I don't give a flying fuck about.
By far one of the best reviews I have seen in a while. As a die hard Ferrari fan/petrol-head I really do appreciate your insight and opinion on this amazing vehicle. Thank you Steve, and thank you Autocar.
Steve, you are very lucky as you say. Fantastic video, maybe your best. You have now driven all 3 super cars and the best was saved to last. A real super car engine with great sound track, modern aero package and after watching CarmagazineTV video on the tech used to build this car, one realizes how complex the tech is when most think 918 or P1 has better tech. That is not the case. Ferrari have simply build a comfortable and useable F1 car for road. And with all the flair and drama that only comes with a Ferrari.
Great job Steve, I really enjoyed watching this review! The car is amazing, and I think is the best of the 3 titans you tested, not just because it's a ferrari, and has de most power, but it's also de nicest to look at. Again, great job!
Steve's very first words explains why LaF is better than the other 2. Just sitting in a Ferrari is an occasion and makes you full of anticipations so you shake a bit inside as he said. You know there is world leading tech behind you in the form of worlds most powerful NA engine (just like 458 and Speciale) and not just another small heavily turbo charged engine. A real and racy engine that makes your inside vibrate which you both love and also scares you a bit. Aerodynamics worthy of a modern sports car and not extreme aerodynamic (worthy a C-class Le Mond race car). If you think LaF looks strange with too many lines try P1 in any other color than black. No coincidence the demo car was all black. Also LaF showed to be at least as comfy as P1 on bad roads, something Mclaren was mentioning time and time again about their car. Conclusion: LaF is a masterpiece that is easy to drive at the limit with a real engine and modern aero. While P1 has it's merits (mostly as a race car) it has once again shown to be a few steps behind Ferrari in making desirable sports cars.
He does like the LaF but prefers P1 as proclaimed greatest car ever N last review. Many say because he is British. The P1 is very old school N tech with TT engine. They don't even have DI; instead allow fuel 2 over run off boost and throttle 2 cool engine and turbos. The LaF is somewhat old school also. Other then DI, just bored and stroked V12 from the Enzo. The intake manifold is from old F1 cars. Cam phasing lift and valve control from Honda's Vtech systems. Most sport/hyper cars have this old Honda tech. The KERS is from the F1 car but is slightly upgraded with 2 E-motors. This V12 will need more tech 2 stay around. The 458 V8 engine is going out 4 TT small V8. The P1 does have stop/start at idle. This Ferrari does not have it. A Hybrid mode is being looked into I hear but other options will be needed also on next Hypercar. LaF does look far more friendlier at limit. P1 is just more of a GT3 racecar frankly. It is a F1 and LM in 1 car NMO. A tire down grade could cure the ride some on street but not much. Which 1 2 own is on preference. Both have positives and negatives.
noskis123 Do you know how many journalist were there? It wouldn't be strange if they had 2 cars and half of the journalists drove on the roads while at the same time the other half drove on the track. Otherwise it would take days and days before everybody would get that many hours on the roads. Obviously they all got a few good hours.
Great video Steve, i like the way your not afraid to express your emotion while driving this LaFerrari, it gives us a feeling of what it must be like to drive these supercars.
In his last P1 video, I guess he changed his tune. Proclaimed P1 best ever made slightly. His was not total clear when saying about P1 but I think he prefers it to the 918 and LaFerrari. I think it is more how Mclaren allowed him total 3 day access with it. Not sure if Ferrari will do that.
He has a review up on Road and Track, but his video review (which should be epic) is coming up soon on /Drive. Why not now? Simple... Harris and the Drive team are taking some time to make prepare master-piece and not just post a video lacking any preparation beforehand, just putting in some standard shots we see in every review and call it a day like AutoCar (and most car reviewers) does. Not saying Autocar or Steve are bad, they're just not as good sometimes (most of the time... well all the time). Cheers
Malc180s Don't want to be a buzzkill, but if you're gonna refer to the embargo Ferrari imposed on everyone, the one that says they can't upload LaFerrari reviews before 11PM, then don't because the time has passed. Also, if you want to tell me that Ferrari don't let CH to review their cars, well not any longer because that has been resolved, they even gave him an F12 to review with a few sets of tires to go through. What's your argument again?
Joe B well laferrari has about 50hp more and it is about 200kg lighter, that should do for a better acceleration n shorter stoping distance n therefore faster corners
Mediabike Sardegna The P1 has significantly more down force though. about double If I recall. Not certain which will be faster, but I'm guessing the P1.
supersubes That 600kg downforce figure for the P1 can only happen in a straight line at its top speed, therefore cannot happen on a track! The 918 is the fastest out of a corner with AWD and almost 300lb/ft more torque than its competitors.
The Chris Harris vid said the 600k figure is at 150 mph if I recall. Did they mention at what speed the laFerrari made it's 300Kg, I don't remember if they did. Also of note, the P1 has a much lower ride height, which means the splitter and diffuser will be much more effective that any under tray treatment to the Ferrari. Just at a glance, the P1 would seem to have much more downforce. Regarding the Porsche, just because you add awd, doesn't mean you are fastest out of a corner. you must take into account that the p1 will be faster mid-corner, and due to greater downforce. The faster the corner the larger that mid-corner speed gap. Imagine all three of these cars going around Spa? There are three slow corners, even If we just say the Porsche will kill everything out of those corners, they are slow corners, and mean little in the lap time. The higher downforce pf the P1 will allow it to go faster everywhere else, and that's a long track. The awd will do nothing for the Porsche in Eau Rouge. I like all these cars, but we will probably never see an apples to apples comparison with all of them to get an idea of their relative speeds. Cheers
After watching this, I'm beginning to realize that Ferrari is ahead of the game, because of their ability to integrate all of the systems together to produce the "friendliness" that Steve talks about. In essence, it's not about having the best NA engine, or best hybrid engine, etc. but it's more about how all of those systems work together as one - and IMO, Ferrari does that better than the P1 or 918. It's like the iphone - you really don't need a manual to know how to work it because it's so well integrated that it's easy and intuitive to use.
They should only sell these cars to people who are passionate about racing and cars, not to any rich guy who can afford it. I hate seeing pictures of dumb idiots who drive to show off their cars and then end up crashing them.
Well its not like I like a rich idiot to waste away the miles of a perfectly good Ferrari, but it is their money so they do have the freedom to do whatever they want.
Even if you're rich, you gotta have passion for racing and cars if you fulfil Ferrari's requirements *and* are willing to drop this kind of cash on a sportscar. This is not a Veyron, it's a Ferrari flagship. I beg to differ in your judgment.
ALL IM SAYING.... is the 918 has AWD..... FULL SOUND SYSTEM..... and also laid a smack down ( CURRENT #1) at the ring. Now the Laferrari is just sex on wheels.
***** The Nürburgring is for Porsche the same as Fiorano for Ferrari, namely the birthplace! A lot of people would like to bring in experience who has built the fastest car. Porsche with the 918 Spyder, Ferrari with the La Ferrrari, Mc Laren with the P1? I think that's pretty much understandable, what I can not understand is why a lot of people mindlessly require that Ferrari and McLaren, have to beat Porsche on their home track. Can anyone imagine that Porsche and McLaren would get involved with the Ferraris home track Fiorano?
Got into one today, and cannot get this car out of my mind. I truly am in love with this machine. The greatest supercar to ever exist in world history as of today. Every thing else is an also ran.
I love Ferrari just like the rest and think the best ones were the F40 and 599xx. As for the Nurburgring times, i think the P1 would have and edge because of all this talk about "massive" downforce the wing generates. I cant wait for both lap times though. Ps. leave my civic alone.
For me the best hypercar right now, Mr. Sutcliffe is backing me up with his expressions when he drives the La"Art". Everytime I see or watch something about this car, I fall in love more
It only seems fitting that Ferrari, arguably the most iconic automotive brand the world over, would build this car to preserve their reign at the top of the super car hierarchy. This car is deserving of all the compliments and praise that this reviewer is lavishing on it. I think, without question, that this car is better than the P1 in almost every facet. Perhaps it won't beat the P1 on the track, but the LaFerrari possesses an intangible level of excitement that the P1 can never match.
Steve is the second car reviewer so far who has said this car feels like a Ferrari 458 on steroids, which is a huge compliment for Ferrari, since the Ferrari 458 is a masterpiece to begin with. I applaud Ferrari for not giving this car an all electric option like the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918, since who in their right mind would want to drive a supercar without experiencing the engine noise?? Thats like watching an action movie without the sound. Totally rediculious! I recall reading as a teenager an article in a car magazine back in around 86 about a twin Turbo Ferrari Testarossa tuned by Koenig to 800 hp (remember this was before cars were computerized) and I remember the reviewer saying that it was incredibly hard to handle the car with all that horsepower. But today thanks to computers one can take a 950 hp LaFerrari and make it dance like a Ballerina around a track. Awesome! We are truly living in the golden age of supercars. The seats of the LaFerrari and P1 are so low to the ground that is must be a challenge to get in and out of these car. Your wife / girlfriend is not going to appreciate getting into the seat if she is wearing a mini LOL.
I must say I didn't like the looks of this car at first, but now I find it quite beautiful.. Still there's something about the back of it that does not match.
McLaren P1 looks better, sounds better and I think the power del of a turbo will always feel better. But for racing 100 laps the LaFerrari would be better.
The p1 has turbo lag. The electric motor does the torque while the turbos spool. Check out the Chris haris talk with mclaern test driver. It's on DRIVE.
Yeah... I'm one of those who just can't seem to fall in love with the Laferrari's design. At this sort of hypercar performance, I don't think it really matters what you choose; 918, LaF, or P1. So it's all about what you like to look at. I'm personally leaning towards P1. But why do I bother? Even if I win the lottery tomorrow, they're all sold, so I can't have one.
It's all about the sales pitch my boy. "This is exceptionally Rare gold from a meteorite billions of years old. None of your fellow wealthy elite will have one" etc, etc. Hook, line...
Jean Dugas Exactly. All they care about are items for brag rights. They could not care less about large crate of plain gold or cash. But I suppose if I can present some one of a kind item worth more to the P1 owner, I suppose there's always a chance for a trade. Just can't "purchase" one.
I think it will be between the P1 and the Ferrari. I hope the P1 wins. If Koenigsegg manages to get ALL THAT power down I think it will blast any competitors away, but I'm not sure that you can actualy put 1300 horsepower effectivly to the ground through just two rear tires - then again, I'm not an engineer! :) P1 and Koenigsegg fan here, bit biased.
I had to return mine because the windshield wiper didn't really do a proper cleaning. Also, the base on the sound system sounded a tad thumpy and there wasn't an ashtray to be found. What's a guy supposed to do, flick the ashes of his Carkuto Fuente's on the floor? Give me a break! I told Lorenzo if he fixed all the problems, I'd consider buying another; he said he understood and was quite gracious . . .
Holy Hell that engine noise is so fucking orgasmic! I have to applaud Ferrari for putting in a Naturally aspirated V12, that's just ballsy. The sound is so wicked, and gives the car that much more character!
1.2 MILLION POUNDS.....GOD,.... THAT CAN FEED SO MANY HUNGRY PEOPLE.....OH I WISH....OH I WISH.....PEOPLE COULD JUST UNDERSTAND. NOTHING COULD GIVE YOU MORE SATISFACTION IN LIFE THAN TO HELP SOMEONE IN NEED.
AISHAIKHU You could also sell your computer too, and feed many, yet here you are. Helping others is a noble cause for sure, but don't bash others for how they choose to spend the money they have.
Why can't you people just seat and watch this masterpiece? It doesn't matter if holding your beer you'd buy a Lambo, this is a piece of art. Respect it in silence.
window wipers going of all the time isn't a good sign if that's the car they give the journalist..wonder how many will catch fire lol..nice car though that's no doubt
I'd rather have an AVENTADOR or Veyron Super Sport. I never liked Ferraris. Don't know why exactly. If I were to pick one supercar I could actually afford, I'd buy an Aventador or manual Murcielago cheaper than $200k.
yes but it seems like everyone who thinks they can afford one buys an aventador. They're just so common (for a supercar, obviously not as common as a civic) that I would rather something that is way more special, like a LaFerrari or Pagani
MrCrockaG Aventador seems to be the typical choice for brats and douches. I haven't seen many owners who aren't 20 year old riches with sun glassess driving 10 mph in town. Not to judge anyone but it's really not a car that you buy for passion, like a Ferrari 599 GTO or Carrera GT.
MrCrockaG The Aventador is way to big and heavy to be a real drivers car, especially the roadster which is 1800+ kilograms. The car in my opinion is way to sexy and looks way to good. That makes it like a "bragging object", it also seems to be designed for the "videogame generation" and has nothing classic that is associated with the Lamborghini company and it's history.
Our neighbour now has one. Very impressive. However, I wasn't that impressed until seeing the specs now. It doesn't sound as powerful as his 599s. We have a stop sign near us and I'll miss the incredible throttle blip of the 599s on the downshift (presuming he stops driving them). However, to it's credit, I can hear which route he goes for a couple of minutes after passing by

I like LaFerrari better than the P1
Oh.. My... Godd!!!! The sound of that engine! AMAZING!! The P1 and 918 are cool and all. But nothing compares to the sound of a good V12!
918 advantages compared to P1 and LaFerrari:
-Spyder (one of the reasons its heavier)
-Torque
-0-60 time(faster than both)
-Cost (~500,000 euros less than LaFerrari, even rich people can appreciate a saving)
-AWD (safer in the real world)
-Interior
-Comfort
-Unchallenged Nurburgring time
-Electric range (one of the reasons its heavier)
-Exterior is better looking, its beautiful rather than in your face, striking (this point is subjective)
-Exhaust pipes are on top of the engine(how cool is that)
-4 wheel steering
-Reliable (company track record)
918 Impresses me the most and its not like the other two don't have their advantages. I'm glad all three are distinct. My pick is the 918. -Coupe ( better performances )
-0-124 mph & 0-186 mph ( Ferrari 15 sec, Porsche 20 sec = demolition )
-RWD ( driving experience and pleasure compared to AWD, traction control will keep you alive )
-Sound ( the most powerful naturally aspirated V12engine in a road car 800 bhp )
-Active aerodinamics ( front and rear wings to provide maximum amount of grip )
-Looks ( subjective but definetely more extreme and apropriate for a hypercar )
-It's a Ferrari ( nominated for the second time as the world's most powerful brand in the world )
-Top Speed and Power ( 214mph vs over 218 mph and 875 bhp Vs 963 bhp )
-Ridiculous speed and still handling of a 458 ( responsive and predictable )
-Kerb weight ( 918 's1640 Kg vs LaFerrari 1255 Kg )
-Regenerative breaks constantly recharghing the batteries
-Blistering quick gearbox from F1

The most weird thing is all the 3 hypercars are very friendly.

For me , all supercars are great but Ferrari is a Ferrari
+Miodrag Dimitrijevic
Ripoff of a Pagani
HigherPlanes I didn't knew that... But since I was a kid,I like Ferrari. Back than there was a TV series , I think it was called Miami vice,I'm not sure,Don Johnson was a lead role. And in that series,he drove a Ferrari ,I think 340 spider, and I loved that car. I like Lamborghini too because of their aggressive look.
Miodrag Dimitrijevic
Well there are a lot of similarities between the body style of the pagani and the LaFerarri and I think Ferarri copied many aspects of that design.
HigherPlanes I'm not gonna say that it is not possible :) True, there are a lot of similarities between those two cars. I'm a huge Ferrari fan, and that's the reason I didn't pay any attention to that possibility :) .
Miodrag Dimitrijevic
It doesn't really matter ferrari is great car anyway =)
I've absolutely fallen in love with the P1 and I truly do think it will be the definitive performance car of all time (due to numerous trends in the industry and peaks in technology), but this LaFerrari undeniably has more soul than the P1.
*jingles the Italian car cliché swear jar* Time to pay up.
SpecialKLSX but ironicly when people have to bash on italian super/hyper cars being unreliable that clichè is a "fact" right?
Well it used to be a fact. Then they hired germans...
So they aren't unreliable anymore. They're just... boring, and safe? *tosses a few into the German car cliche swear jar*
SpecialKLSX Bringing a German inside Maranello is punishable by death as set out by our God, Enzo Ferrari. This isn't Audi-borghini.
SpecialKLSX Nope, even the 458 was catching on fire...as ferraris have done fr YEARS
Steve Sutcliffe and Chris Harris are by far the best auto journalists.. they convey such emotion through their videos
Range Rover wins!
Top Gear, then Chris Harris. This guy is so so.
Absolutely amazing car, better looking than P1 and 918 aswell...Well done Ferrari :)))
Man... when Ferrari does a car right, there's nothing better. The sound... wow.
You lucky son of a car manufacturer!
Close to 10 years old and looks better than many current ferrari's ❤️
Sounds way better too!
So much better than its competitors! A masterpiece!
And the sound is...AWESOME!!!
Personal feelings and preferences of everyone aside, the P1, 918, and LaFerrari are in a league of their own. No production car is faster than them. Appreciate the technology and pure beastness of them. TOP SPEED MEANS NOTHING FYI your car can go 260, big fucking woop. Theres like 2 places in the world where you can get to that speed.
one 77?
Diveek Jain Can't even compare.
I believe the Hennesy Venom is the fastest
Captain Marvel, well the One-77 does have Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve Dampers, straight out of F1 so...
This guy's excitement is infectious
One of the best LaFerrari's video on youtube
Congrats Steve and Autocar! One of your best reviews with one of the best cars ever made! amazing car, great sound!
You don't know HOW LONG I waited for this test drive! :)
Nobody noticed that UFO at around 7:02....it's quite fast.
Holy crap your right!! Haha
Wtf thats crazy
MrLogicChannel who looks at a F**** bird in a video about La Ferrari...?

Video: LaFerrari - Maranello's new 950bhp masterpiece reviewed Ferrari LaFerrari review - Maranello's new 950bhp masterpiece tested #cars #news #Ferrari
Amazing car and amazing video... Your best by far..
Great review, Autocar!
The emotion with which he gave this review it is clear that this is the bench mark. WHAT a MACHINE!!!
la ferrari, not just a machine, he have a soul
Ja , enough now with this sunday-school-teacher car , and review the REGERA ,love to hear Steve's review ! ! !
Deep respect to Ferrari for making the LeFerrari, the sound and looks this car have in real life is just amazing.
Both have positives and negatives.
bezor Ta
Ferrari tuned the car...
noskis123
lol, we heard you the first time. Sure they did, sure.
bezor Ta
I love this car! Don't wanna hate but you can clearly see it's two different cars. 14146 for the track.
14145 for the road.
noskis123
Do you know how many journalist were there? It wouldn't be strange if they had 2 cars and half of the journalists drove on the roads while at the same time the other half drove on the track. Otherwise it would take days and days before everybody would get that many hours on the roads. Obviously they all got a few good hours.
Can't understand anyone that thinks the P1 is better looking than this
Kings mario Same
The sexiest car ever! It's just amazing how Ferrari can design something so awesome like the LaFerrari.
Great video Steve, i like the way your not afraid to express your emotion while driving this LaFerrari, it gives us a feeling of what it must be like to drive these supercars.
The Ferrari wins because it's RWD V12 and sounds INSANE. Just watch Steve in this video vs the porsche & mclaren. You can see it on his face.
Now give it to Chris Harris.
Cheers
VirusTornado He's actually not allowed to post the video yet, as confirmed by him.
Stop making up things, pretending you know things.
Malc180s I'll hold back for a second and listen to what you have to say... why can't he post the video yet? enlighten me
Malc180s Don't want to be a buzzkill, but if you're gonna refer to the embargo Ferrari imposed on everyone, the one that says they can't upload LaFerrari reviews before 11PM, then don't because the time has passed. Also, if you want to tell me that Ferrari don't let CH to review their cars, well not any longer because that has been resolved, they even gave him an F12 to review with a few sets of tires to go through. What's your argument again?
VirusTornado I'm not arguing, I'm merely repeating what Harris wrote.
Can't wait to see a shootout with the LaFerrari vs the P1, and 918 Spyder
Such a tough call. This car seems like a ballistic missile though.
Cheers
Two words: ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! Grazie mille, ***** e Autocar!
Omg listen to that engine, fuck the P1.
The LaFerrari wins on sound, the 918 on refinement and the P1 for all out savagery.
Windscreen wiper = Italian build quality. He he.
They work, just not when you want them to lol.
Ferrari didn't do themselves any favours with the 458 styling, apart from selling thousands. It is proving hard to top
I recorded a La Ferrari in London on my channel and seriously, the thing is exquisite, its possibly the most beautiful supercar ever!
They have already been sold to people the CEO knows on a first name basis and they have to own 5 ferrari's already.
But that's exactly the type of crowd that Ferrari sells to.
EXACTLY!
Looks+technology+speed/peformance
McLaren P1: 10/10
Ferrari La Ferrari: 10/10
Porsche 918 Spyder: 8/10
Let the Porsche fan hate commence
Why you think that porsche it is'nt ?
Königsegg One:1 11/10 :)
The 918 has more technology and better looks than the LaFerrari, actually.
The P1's reign is over. That was sweet.
Got into one today, and cannot get this car out of my mind. I truly am in love with this machine. The greatest supercar to ever exist in world history as of today. Every thing else is an also ran.
That sound!!! The turbo P1 sound is not even close to this sexiness. And the looks... Ahhhhh. Yeah, once again, Maranello on the front. Hands down
Well, it's finally here. The acceleration looks far beyond mind-blowing
I love Ferrari just like the rest and think the best ones were the F40 and 599xx. As for the Nurburgring times, i think the P1 would have and edge because of all this talk about "massive" downforce the wing generates. I cant wait for both lap times though.
Ps. leave my civic alone.
Best comment on here, lol.
For the first time, current road cars sound better than current F1 cars.
For me the best hypercar right now, Mr. Sutcliffe is backing me up with his expressions when he drives the La"Art". Everytime I see or watch something about this car, I fall in love more
The emotions that Steve was experiencing in the beginning gave me goosebumps! Well done, mate!
Top notch engineering, beautiful exhaust note...BUT is it better than the enzo??
Yes.
EVO also said it feels like a more insane 458.
100-200 in 4 seconds. Man this car is fast as hell
Best hypercar ever. Bravo!
I can't wait for Jeremy Clarkson review of this car LOL
Jesus 1/499 limited edition.Let the battle of famous rich bastards begins.
aha dakle gajbi si, doci cu za 20 min.naf
xD
Ferrari will pick who can own one doesn't matter how rich you are
It doesnt matter, they are still rich :p
Windshield wiper going crazy already.
Italian build quality :D
never seen sutcliffe so nervous before. legend of cars this is
i´ll wait for Clarkson for a fun review and C Harris for a proper review.
Hahaha yesss
I must say I didn't like the looks of this car at first, but now I find it quite beautiful.. Still there's something about the back of it that does not match.
McLaren P1 looks better, sounds better and I think the power del of a turbo will always feel better. But for racing 100 laps the LaFerrari would be better.
That's what is going to happen when pininferina is not involved In the design.
Definitely doesn't sound better and how is turbo lag better power delivery?
halabi97 theres none in the p1
The p1 has turbo lag. The electric motor does the torque while the turbos spool. Check out the Chris haris talk with mclaern test driver. It's on DRIVE.
are you kidding me ? p1 sounds better ? and turbo lag would be better ? in which world are you ? and however the looks of both are very good !!
Thanks for an awesome review, Steve -- so down to earth and authentic, as usual.
Ferrari has once again, with the introduction of this juggernaut of a car, reclaimed the top spot on the pedestal of quintessential super cars.
Some Arab gentleman would gladly sell you their P1 for a large crate of gold.
If they're at a point where can afford a P1 without blinking, not sure if they care about a large crate of gold.
***** I'm Korean.
Ferrari LaFerrari vs Koenigsegg One:1 vs Porsche 918 Spyder vs Zaporozhets ZAZ-965 vs McLaren P1.
Which one will win under which conditions?
zonda R evo
dio cane Not a road car.
u just need to put a number plate and u have ur road car
And road legal tires. Which makes a HUGE difference.
P1 and Koenigsegg fan here, bit biased.
I told Lorenzo if he fixed all the problems, I'd consider buying another; he said he understood and was quite gracious . . .
Thank you for this.Needed a break from being so serious.
That motor looks sooooo rev happy! Thank you for this video. Gave me goosebumps.
The edits on this vid are dope asf with all the slow mo and stuff
LaFerrari = The Italian Count
Porsche 918 = The German Reichsgraf
McLaren P1 = The English Lord
Corvette Stingray = Hank the Third
Clearly, this car is too fast for us mere mortals.
I hope there will be a LaFerrari derivate in the 24h of Le Mans in the next years!
Holy Hell that engine noise is so fucking orgasmic! I have to applaud Ferrari for putting in a Naturally aspirated V12, that's just ballsy. The sound is so wicked, and gives the car that much more character!
a masterpiece review for a masterpiece car
Did you see Chris Harris at the track?
lolol i was just thinking that to my self !!
It's almost as though they are trying to make this video to look like Chris Harris's videos...
He has to buy even more Ferraris, than 3....
He's banned from reviewing Ferrari press cars
Absolutely amazing car in every way! This is the King of supercars. Haters can go to hell! Great job Ferrari.
I think people don't hate laferrari, it's just the perception that Ferrari has to play second fiddle. I as a fan don't wont to see Ferrari in the 2nd.
Helping others is a noble cause for sure, but don't bash others for how they choose to spend the money they have.
tipigi loved it
THEE BEST LaFerrari review on RUclips !!!!!!!
I know the design of this car has been somewhat polarizing but I freaking love it, I think it's brilliant. And that sound, yum!
p1 vs 918 vs laferrari please!
Why can't you people just seat and watch this masterpiece? It doesn't matter if holding your beer you'd buy a Lambo, this is a piece of art. Respect it in silence.
ferrari the no 1 sportscar maker. for 70 years. the end
Not a Ferrari fan boy, but what a beautiful automobile.
jawdropping beauty, performance and elegance. Man this thing can accelerate!!!
"And a lot of windscreen wiper aswell!" Lol
window wipers going of all the time isn't a good sign if that's the car they give the journalist..wonder how many will catch fire lol..nice car though that's no doubt
very few of laferrari will catch on fire: they are no british (e.g. caparo), nor german (e.g. 991gt3) cars...
12zaf1 what about the burning gallardo then?
could be a setting he had on which he didn't realize how to turn off. Maybe it has a rain/speed setting which increases the wipers with speed.
12zaf1 Are you trying to say that italian cars are reliable? hahahahahaha
Hok
certainly not. i am just saying ferraris are much more reliable than any british made car, more reliable than porsches, lamborghinis...
PorscheSweden yeah thats exactly what I am saying! Its not a "driver's car" its a car that people buy because they want so show off they have money!
PorscheSweden 100% agree mate
I'm might be carried away, but this could be the greatest hyper car of all time. it will surely give a P1 a run for its money.
Our neighbour now has one. Very impressive. However, I wasn't that impressed until seeing the specs now. It doesn't sound as powerful as his 599s. We have a stop sign near us and I'll miss the incredible throttle blip of the 599s on the downshift (presuming he stops driving them). However, to it's credit, I can hear which route he goes for a couple of minutes after passing by
added on my amazon wishlist
I got one, but it's so hard to park. Bad back mirror view.
So no camera to help when in reverse.
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN
MY LAMBO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM
See this is why my Fiat is the best Italian car.
No you haven't, shut the fuck up you complete tool.
j4cko56 At least I don't have a fake horse in my avatar.
Lol what the hell is wrong with that front window wiper? Italian engineering at its 'best' :D
Too much power
Same reviewer did the same with the wiper on the P1. I'm guessing 'user error'.
you sound like a typical moron
rockincoffee Haven't seen this happening in a P1 review with the same dush behind the wheel ;)
Maybe it has a wetness sensor inside the car.
That speedo just climbs so fast it's a blur. Incredible.
Love the LaFerrari!!!!! It's my favorite Ferrari.
+Ryan Cash Until the next new one right?
