Short Game School Day 1 - Pitching

An effective pitch shot in golf is a short, accurate approach shot typically played from within 40 yards of the green. It uses a lofted club to produce a high, soft trajectory that lands gently and stops quickly. The key to a good pitch is solid contact, proper club selection, and the right amount of wrist hinge to create control and spin for a precise, controlled landing.
A Pitch will spend more time in the air than on the ground and is used in situations where you have to clear an obstacle (ie bunker, rough, hill, water, etc).
Your ball position should be centered, weight on your lead foot (Left foot for RH Golfers, Right foot for LH Golfers).
Controlling distance will come from two things - a CONSISTENT TEMPO & the length of your backswing.
