Shifty was always very honest about the demons he dealt with. Addiction is a monster and it's a shame it consumed him so quickly. I hope he's resting well.

I am not going to make insensitive comment, but for anyone who is wondering, Shifty was struggling with crack addiction for years
It's very sad to see him that way.
He was on the addict show on MTV years ago fighting off his crack addiction and looking at it, he never beat it.
Why would anyone look down on people with a disease called addiction. Some people have very addictive personalities and to me it does not seem so funny. I am very lucky to be at the exact opposite of the spectrum never indulged in anything.

Much Respect to this band for having shifty their with them to perform and play for him, and these men didn't judge or look down at shifty at all for what he does in life to get by, all they wanted was to hang out and perform for him and these men got to perform a song they really liked with the artist and look you can see they all had a good time together and that's the kind of memories we need to save of one another in this lifetime. No matter how this man died please show him some love and respect just like you would of your own family and we all have family or know someone who does drugs and we all know that is the hardest things to defeat in life because withdrawing off the drugs is torture you literally feel like your dying and there's nothing you can do about it until you do more to get that feeling away from your body and it takes years for a person's body to get back to normal after getting clean because them withdrawal feelings still are in your body but not as bad but damn my uncle who clean for about 10 years he still gets leg shakes the restless leg syndrome and it's hard for him to even sleep because of it. Anyways rest in peace to shifty and please pray for his family and please pray for others out there in this world who are on drugs and i hope one day that maybe can escape that living hell🙏🙏🙏

the really sad part is, when "butterfly" was at the top of the charts, to shifty it probably felt like he went out for a smoke and walked back in like this. decades passed in the blink of an eye. Thats how fast it went. Thats how fast it goes. The decay and horrible tragedy of what drugs can do to you. One day you wake up and you're irrelevant, a nuisance to those around you, you're carrying the weight of a 50 pound gorilla on your back. Too old to ever look back, yet looking straight ahead into the last stop on the train approaching rapidly.. and theres nobody waiting for you to arrive. its lonely and sad.

Joseph, whilst your message is very thoughtful, there are no better days ahead for Seth. He's done. He's relapsed into drug addiction. He's a nuisance to his family, friends, band mates, and society - in fact, he's lucky to have any friends at this point.
In recent months, he has been arrested on numerous occasions for petty misdemeanours. He committed GBH against his band mate over a small sum of money, and to this very day, he is still waging a never-ending war with nightclub bouncers.
On top of all that, he is stuck in a time warp. The 90s and 00s are, very sadly; over. In the days that followed Seth wasted his life and his looks. Incredibly sad...
@@Inconvenient_NPCthe saddest part is that Crazy Town just moved from one problem to another. They were made into a joke in the 90s and never really got the respect they deserved. Put out an underrated gem of a sophomore album which no one cared about, ex band members were dying and they just faded into obscurity. And the comeback they did with The Brimmstone Sluggers never really recaptured the little spark they had with Buttefly's popularity.
Its a sad chain of events. One mishap or bad situation after another for 20+ years.
And now Seth is jacked up on a thousand substances again. Truly sad.
@@RbFranco1butterfly aside I actually thought the brimstone sluggers was as good as the gift of game, just without that huge hit and in the wrong era. Lemonface, come inside and born to raise hell are all quality songs. But yeah, they didn’t have the audience anymore and that kind of music wasn’t being pushed by any mainstream outlet. Butterfly was one in a million and would’ve been very difficult to recapture.... they stumbled upon a golden sample, used it very smartly and it made them.

Laying flat on his back on the stage Staring at the ceiling. Just aimlessly wondering for at least an hour after all the closing bands were done Before they played their Seven songs. The set was good period their music was good but it was awkward. very sad news this morning. My recordings are up here under "live at Leo's at the slice".

I liked this. He's still got some flow in spite of his issues. I have empathy for this man. Seth has had a rough go of it (his own fault) but i bet he was stoked to be allowed to do this again. He wasn't half bad either. Sometimes we just need something to inspire us, lift us up and give us hope. Maybe this could be one of those times. We all know that he's had his drug problems. Who hasnt?
