Shout out to the great organization called Lifeline Peer Project that made your tee shirt. Thanks for taking their recovery work to new heights! They are doing fantastic things in Tennessee. Kudos to Monty Burks and his team.
I always wondered I flew my paramotor to a town near buy to dilivery something to a friend takes about 20 min by car took like 15 on paramotor. Think I had a tail wind tho
I love your videos. Real adventure flying, not just using the paramotor to do barrel-rolls in the early morning or evening over the local sports field 👍👌
I'm not sure if you know but I fly to Asheville quit a bit and you are in the general location of a 250 knot twin turbine jet. Most 121 pilots are not looking out the window at all times. Watching this video only reminds me it is only a matter of time before a 121 jet impacts a paramotor...
I would say if you are going to be flying around like that at altitudes where you could be hit by an airplane find someway to install an ADS-B transponder so you show up on TCAS. 🤷♂️
Great video. I’d like to do this some day. I’m a VFR pilot and I’ve watched a few paramotor RUclipsrs and I’m wondering something. Do you guys monitor aviation radio traffic and report your position? Do you have ADSB out? If not, you could get run over at those altitudes. When parachuters are jumping at our airport, the jump plane and staff on the ground are making reports to general aviation traffic. Is this something you guys do?
The Sirocco 3, I find, comes up faster and straighter - but nil winds will have you running a little faster. It does require a more precise input on brakes. Overall, I prefer it to Spyder 3.
Mark and Alayna hello just subscribe. As for the question ❓ I hope Mark wins. Up in the air there are less rules, roadways have a lot. Who can do it faster without creating a victim or braking laws I like freedom as long as it doesn't create a victim.
Great video guys! I am in Charlotte and currently fly with several others out of Laneys Airport in Maiden, NC. It's a great little grass airfield surrounded by numerous fields. Come fly with us anytime!
For what it's worth, I have the Sirocco 3 20m (Mark's is the 18m and those have a different riser set). I was only safety able to shorten mine by 1.5". It was so little, due to the long trimmer lengths. Since the 18m has a shorter trimmer length, it might be able to go even shorter.
unfair, you travel a lot less miles overall. You aint 'there' until those feet touch the ground. Looked like fun, but ending up in Charlotte is uh.... not so much. Cheers from just up North in Marshall area! Still trying to fly more than crash on mine.
@@marguskiis7711 very true. 100 miles is 100 miles. The video misses a very important fact. The ppg didnt travel 100 miles, as it flew straight line. 100 miles at 30mph does take longer than 100 miles at 60mph, thats for sure.
i knew Mark you would win , as i guess some time in the past you also croossed 100 mph speed on PPG .how about another video back to your home against the wind for Alayna to win. :-) this was very good video . fly safe
Love it!!! I look forward to challenging my family in the minivan sometime. Did you feel like the bumps and turbulence was ever outside your comfort range? Was it mostly fun or mostly stressful? I truly wish the FAA would allow us to use ADS-B out. Something to consider adding is a Stratux ADS-B In -- you can add it to a map on your phone while flying and see any traffic near you and get an alert before you see them. Also you can get an Amateur Radio License and build a "Wonder Whip" antenna that attaches to your B line, costs about $10 in parts and about 20 minutes to put together. I've been able to chat with people 10-15 miles away when there is no cell signal with a $30 Baofeng. Great for stuff like this where you want to chat with people but there's no cell service. Kick ass mate!
Did you learn in NC or somewhere else? Also have you ever thought of teaching yourself? I feel like you’d be an awesome teacher. I’m waiting on my wing to arrive and currently looking into instructors in the NC area. Live right by the lake you flew over haha (lake Wylie, SC)
Trimming out and adding speedbar is actualy safer in turbolent contitions cause its reflex glider.. i understand your insecuryties about that but its nearly impossible to have collapse with full speed

Good race guys
Ya'll make good videos. They make me smile:)

What do you recommend Mr. Airline pilot?

@@GlennTupper nice, do you? Do you have a recommended ADSB that's easy for paramotor pilots?
@@MarkHuneycutt I don't fly that high. Lol
Awesome video!!!!
Enjoyed watching! By crow wins!
Amazing.. I Love Paramotor..
Kewl
I love these types of races! This video was really fun to watch!
Paramotor is my guess to win.
That was awesome!
nice race :)
Not fair!!! You gave him a three second head start !! 🤣😂🤣
She has a lead foot. He's headed into the wind not fair. Reedoo lol
Plane- Oh, hi Mark
That was fun! Miss you guys!
Where u using the moster or atom
You almost flew over my house....lol

Idk, I think Alayna slowed down after you told her she was winning.
Next time stop at the barbershop you’ll have a lot less wind resistance.
Winner winner chicken dinner 🥳
What's easier to launch and land? Spyder 3 vrs Sirroco 3?
Guesses are Spyder 3
The Sirocco 3, I find, comes up faster and straighter - but nil winds will have you running a little faster. It does require a more precise input on brakes. Overall, I prefer it to Spyder 3.
Love the shirt Mark. I kinda figured that the paramotor was going to win for some reason. Thanks for sharing this with us all. 👍😀
Spoiler alert! I wish I hadn't looked at comments before the end of the video 🙄
not only is it faster.. i bet its more fuel efficient Too!.. 30+ miles per gallon if you only used 3 gallons.. Sweet!
Woohoo, I got a shout out. I can die happy now. 🥰🥰

🤣 Good stuff
hahaha I've raced a van once and I won! hahaha 👍
How fun!! 😋👍
That was interesting! So you got like 33 miles to the gallon...kinda not great, but prolly better than the van !
So what's your thoughts on the brake length. Have tour shortened them?
For what it's worth, I have the Sirocco 3 20m (Mark's is the 18m and those have a different riser set). I was only safety able to shorten mine by 1.5". It was so little, due to the long trimmer lengths. Since the 18m has a shorter trimmer length, it might be able to go even shorter.

@@marguskiis7711 for sure. Altho cars have to obey traffic signs and follow roads :)

I live in Cleveland county but work at the hospital in Gastonia, not far from lake Wylie. I went midwestppg in Indiana for training.

Mark looks so much better clean-shaven and he needs a haircut.
