Let me know what yall think! Longest video yet😅but it's basically ten flights packed into one.
The GoPro is just curse’s our brains man. That was too ironic 😂 I felt that struggle. I forgot my sd card yesterday for a flight at hat creek rim haha
Really good content dude! Great job!
Awesome stuff
Loved it man... good job it was awesome to watch.
Fantastic flight!
That, Mark, was truly epic. Those that don’t fly a paramotor cannot really appreciate just what an achievement this was. Big respect from England.
Not a paramotor pilot here, just curious, why is it difficult? Is it the cold or is it that your limbs get numb/hurt from the harness/seat? I do long distance motorcycling from time to time and when my fuel is running low, I thank whichever God for that gas station stop lol
I never realized humans could give birth to birds, but apparently I did. ❤
😅
I’ve never flown a para glider but have made my living flying fixed and rotor wings for the past 39 years. When you landed at the EDE airport I thought to myself how familiar it looked as you walked up the steps of the old base building. I immediately knew where you landed. I flew UPS contract freight from 1989 to 1993 from RDU to EDE to MQI 6 days a week. I watched the sunrise hundreds of mornings over Roanoke island and the outer banks. I still live in eastern NC and fly out of RDU. Always wanted to try one of those things. I’m enjoying watching your channel. Safe flying.
I really like the cross-country adventure flying content.
When I looked into doing this 20 years ago 20 mph was considered a "fast" wing... Even with a tail wind that mileage is impressive !!
Awesome trip! Thanks for taking us along!
Mark, this video is simply epic. The visuals were incredible!
I freakin love it bro! Not much excites me these days but when i seen this a few months ago, I’ve been hooked since. Safe travels!
This video deserves a lot more views than it's getting. Outstanding work!
I appreciate it!
Congratulations! Nice flying, apparently no motor-outs or other gear problems. Just pure air time. Nice video and well narrated. Thanks for sharing.
Like the cross country flying video and your thought process as you go. Beautiful scenery also.
Love this longer format when you have an adventure like this! Like the details of XC flight too.
That was a cracking video, a real pilots pilot effort. Fantastic endurance, really brave flying over the ‘boonies’ and amazing views. As good as any Icarus video. As a nitro owner I was impressed with both the reliability and efficiency. A great job
Hey Richard, some questions:
1. How do you ensure you don't crash into a plane?
2. Can you take short naps in b/w?
3. How do you attend to Nature's calls?
Awesome trip. Well edited video. Good story. Amazing scenery. Expert aviating. What else can we ask for?
One of the best paradventures I've seen! Great vid n good flying.
Thanks!
Just started watching can’t wait! It’s like you did your own mini wing man challenge. Hell yeah!
Nice flight , I enjoyed the flight. Good luck , fly safe and have fun. Thanks.
a Year ago this was posted... wow.
There is NO up side to running leaner than 50 to one oil. Put the oil in first. Seriously. It needs to be mixed in to make a solutions not just in there. The things you do that are "good enough" blow my mind. The fact that you are still alive means this is a great sport. I cant wait.
Thanks for sharing.
You flew right over Murpy. My Mom lives there, so I've flown in that area a few times. Gotta love those smoky mountains.
Epic! And you did it without a chasing car and alone! Greetings from Europe!
Tail number 007 at the pump 🤣
Very cool looking down on my state from one end to the other. Great job...
Neat to see the carolina skies & territory. The refuge has a large Black Bear population & is a great place to see them live. tfs
Oh sweet. See tons at my house in WNC, too
I am also a fellow pilot, but have never flown cross country like you have. Props to you.
Awesome video of the mountains!!!
Great video, loving the current cross country videos as well. I recognised the gas station where you crossed the fence. I used to work on that flashing light over the intersection.
Frying pan tower was really cool as well. Longer sections of scenery with music please.
Congrats, that's got to be at least one record. Very enjoyable to watch and extremely impressive, that's an epic couple days of flying.
Awesome flight! Thanks for sharing this!
Always loved your x/c flying. Informative and I feel like I'm flying with you.Keep up the good videos.
Jesus, Mark. Absolutely magnificent captures. Damn fine pilot navigation as well, sir. You never cease to amaze me or my desire to join you up there. Cheers, brother.
Thanks!
Thanks for taking us along!
I’ve been on all the towers you have pointed out in the video. I get my first paramotor this weekend and can’t wait to go higher than the towers. Awesome video.
They're fun to fly around. Don't get too close!
I watch this before, but it’s fun to watch it again too. It’s pretty relaxing and enjoyable.
My parents used to live in Southport, which is basically the extreme south east of North Carolina, but they were inland 3 miles now they live in Florida, but like North Carolina better. There’s more family in Florida though.
Hell ya dude. Love it. Need more Honeycutt youtube in my life 🤙
Fantastic! So much eye candy, drama about having enough fuel, jet airliners flying below you wow.
Terrific adventure. Well done Mark.
Nice watch! Thanks for including the stats as you went.
Awesome trip Mark. Haven’t watched anything of yours for a while because that Tucker bloke has been stealing my youtube time with his Base Jumping shenanigans!! Looking great out there. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures. Great video work BTW.
Never consider it "weight for no reason". If you needed it, It would have been a life saver! Thanks for taking us along, such an adventure.
Friend, you have one hell of an awesome hobby!
Well worth the watch, had to break it up a bit but now have seen the whole thing, Epic!
Amazing trip, Mark! Thanks for the video!
Bill
As a North Carolina resident and avid watcher of paramotor travel flicks I truly loved this video. I'll watch it again and again! Liked and subscribed...
Thank you much!
This is so sick, Mark! I'm a paramotor pilot in NC and have been following you for a few years. Lets fly sometime! blue skies
definitely!
Guys I am a newbie and totally confused about machine and wings. I want the safest stable wing just to start flying which can cope turbulences. I live in an inland country above 300m sea sea level. Flattop was my choice but others also contradicting it's performance, totally confused!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯
Loved this one. Well broken up video editing and commentary made it a fun watch all the way through
Just got around to watching this one and it was really cool. The Smokies are so beautiful. The commercial aircraft was kinda intense although I know you had it completely under control. Thanks for the amazing videos and stay safe brother.
The mountains were an epic start to the trip. Thanks for watching!
That's amazing. I watched the SC crossing video first, I think I could try that eventually, but NC is so much bigger.
Great adventure Mark.
Im pretty sure you flew over my house hahah it was awesome. Ive been wanting to get into paramotoring
sick xc. when I saw your post on paramotor I assumed it has Harley. lol . I was just in Rodanthe camping with the family. in your video I could see the koa campground I was staying at and also the little islands I was doing touch and goes on. I flew to kitty hawk while I was there as well. video is up on my youtube.
Very cool to see what goes into a trip like that. I would’ve been physically exhausted after the first fuel stop. Ha.
It's the 2nd successful one that got me.
man the pier in rodanthe that you landed near is right near the spot i used to go on vacation every year as a child. it brought back memories! there's really nowhere quite like the outer banks.. it's crazy seeing just that strip of land going onto infinity with endless water on either side
it's quite a crazy landscape
Can’t sleep so found myself watching this one a second time. Great job posting trip stats throughout the video. I’ve been looking for a good long distance trip and I’m almost sold on getting me a rig. I keep imagining going to Vegas from Nashville cause my folks live there. Would be pretty sweet to land in a field near there house. Thanks man!
do it!
@@MarkHuneycutt Eventually it will happen. Head scratcher why I don’t see more folks doing this. You know anyone who hops from lakes to landing strips on some sort of amphibious ultralight? I imagine that would increase options for cross country travel. Trick would be having an engine that would burn regular gas or just carry oil mix I guess. I’m not to knowledgeable on those details but slowly learning.
Seems like your journey across NC was about equal or slightly less than time it would take to drive. Very cool! Happy New Year man
@@PonderB Yea these fly pretty slow so not much better than a car and harder to do. I have looked into ultralights that can land on water. They're expensive but would be cool to have so you can land anywhere. Check this one:
airtimeamphib.com/the-cygnet-3/
Greatk bold adventure!
175g is definitely the one. Your Pumpkin looks like mine. About time for a new one.
agreed!
Bro I can’t wait to get out of school and get a paramotor. I can’t wait to just go on random adventures like this
wow, that was an epic long flight
Awesome adventure Mark, quite a trip, Congrats!
This was fun to watch!
You should have a million subs. Absolutely stunning content.
Desperately needs to have a removable fuel tank. That is a MUST HAVE!!! Also, to save space and weight. Plan your flights and you're landing spots to refuel. Then premeasure your oil in tiny disposable containers so you can dump and go and fill the tank without having to think about anything. You won't have to bring that large jug of oil or the mixing bottle. When fueling, add the oil to the tank first, then adding fuel will mix it properly. When planning, have a primary landing/refueling spot and an alternate.
Removable fuel tank is nice in theory for certain situations. The Parajet Maverick large frame has a removable tank. Weakening fuel connections by continuously removing it would concern me overtime.
I do plan a primary fuel stop but due to the nature of how fast and affected by wind we are, I have to have multiple options and a lot of oil in case weather forecasts are wrong.
I could definitely add oil first but I do it after to have an accurate ratio to whatever I pump in the tank. These fuel tank markings are fairly inaccurate. Getting ratio slightly wrong probably isn't a big deal, though, if I aim for a 50:1 estimate then dump oil in first. If I don't add enough oil, then I'm getting closer to my usual 66:1. If I add too much, it's probably okay but could foul plugs and decrease fuel efficiency.
Amazing video Mark! Should have bought you lunch when you came over my hometown! What an epic journey!
fly by foot drag to grab it
Someone needs design a collapsable fuel can that holds about 16L. Iron man flight, amazing. Its always nice to jump right before a ditch and not touch back down. Thanks for the vid.
Absolutely incredible! I’ve just started paramotoring. I can’t wait to really start exploring.
I just got a lighter sleeping bag and an SOS Zoleo device for texting/calls when I have no service. Adventures just got more remote! Exploring is my favorite
That was a really cool tribute flying to Kitty Hawk where flight began. What an adventure.
What a Journey! Those amphibious trikes look like like a good time for sure
Dare County Airport was ready for you, they had an 18 wheeler waiting for you 😊
Loved it! How free it must feel. Ross has a killer van!
It is very inspiring
Great Video
Looking forward to seeing more
Excellent video! May be silly, but I'd like to see a video of people's reactions and questions.
Much love and miss you guys! Incredible video! Would love to see you do California straight across from Lake Tahoe, but I gotta think that would be tricky and you'd need the perfect weather or the haze in the valley would suck. Anyways, we'd pick you up and put ya'll up. 😉
Thanks for the offer
Well executed airmanship all while staying within the envelope of safety. Although not yet rated for Paramotors, I wonder if the new Flair Moustache 15m would be more efficient? More airspeed, but more fuel to keep you aloft? Great adventure!
Problem is no trims on the Moustache. You always have to be hands on or else you're at full speed
This mode of transport is very intriguing. Like being a superhero. :)
That was epic! Thanks for posting!
That dingy as you called it is an Airtime Aircraft Cygnet 2, they're made in fort Walton Beach Florida. And they are super fun!
Quite the epic journey!
That's quite the trip mark! Thanks for sharing. Surprised to see someone still using the nitro.
It's the Revo 200 but a lot still use the Nitro. It's still for sale from AC
I'm all about the long distance marathon flights, thanks for sharing journeys!! I'd like to build or customize an electric parasailor 😎🙏🌅 epic!
Great video Mark, this detail info graphics very interesting .that seems really long flight.
You flew close to my house on the first flight.
This is neat to see!
0:04 Eye of Rodanthe 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
We live in Frisco and drive out on the beach at the airport. My kid loves watching the paramotor guys rippin down the beach. ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
34:43 lol, calling us out, damn. that's all I was thinking with that tower.
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a Honeycutt video. Nice hair Mark. Great video!
Came across your video, awesome dude. Love every minute of it. You really inspire me to really want to try this awesome adventure but the damn heights and equipment cost might tell me nope, nope.😅
Awesome video, I’m planning a XC from Greenville, SC to Kitty Hawk next year, some great tips in your video!
Awesome! Wish I could make a trip like that! Stay hydrated man :)
Congrats on the achievement.
Thanks!
I'll be learning to paramotor this summer and I want to do the same thing!
Dude's just chilling and floating.
first stop was old fort near my house . thought it was looking familiar. im amazed no one took your stuff while you was gone
🤣that bad over there is it? Luckily now, that restaurant in the field is open so next time I can leave it with them. I've landed there just for breakfast before
Really nice video! North Carolina is beautiful!
Thanks! Love my home state
Epic Flight and Awesome video!
Thanks man
What an epic adventure!
Can't believe I slept on this video. Pure quality my dude. Telemetry data may have been the coolest part, other than the view of course
Thanks! This was an amazing trip to playback
Always love a long one..😊 flight, that is
Great Job. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Just amazing Mark 🤘🌄🍻
