Stats for each flight leg are at the end of the video! Tell me how much you love Paracamping videos?!
Love the paracamping videos! I also appreciate the fuel stats. Miles/Liter is most useful number imho. I keep a log of my efficiency under different conditions so I know what to expect going into an XC.
The guy in the golf cart was Jeff Burton. Retired nascar driver and now tv announcer. How freaking cool.
That is cool!
I noticed that as well. That's awesome. To have been meet by Jeff Burton
I’ve always got time for the Huneycutt’s. Belter of a video.
that MountainAir Airstrip you pass over with the heli is paradise! wow.
I really love para-camping videos , as I'm planning on one myself !
Sweet!
what you fly?
Beautiful part of the world!
Mountain Air is a beautiful dream like airport.
I love this kind of adventure. Thanks for sharing. 👍
When you eat an MRE at higher altitude, sometimes it’s hard for the heater to get going. A trick of the trade: when you see the fumes start coming out of the bad after adding water, hit those fumes with a lighter. It will make a big flame then it goes out super fast. It helps “jump start” the heater.
Brilliant Mark! I’m a new Paramotor pilot in the UK. I can’t wait to start doing these types of adventures in Scotland. Please keep the amazing videos coming. Subscribed!
Very cool! Thanks for taking us along!🙂
Beautiful. Sights that not many people see, and you shared it with us.
Not gonna lie, I wasn't gonna watch this one but glad I did! Really goes to show what you can do with these crafts of string and fabric! I hope you make some more of these long XC fights. I just purchased a 17 liter tank for my Macfly and hope to stretch my flights next year and videos like this will help me venture further!
I Freaking love this guy, Awesome video. Thanks.
I really enjoyed your journey, Mark! Thanks for posting the video! Well done! Bill
Nice go around! Safe and easy
Amazing. Definitely need some warmer gear than I have to tackle a trip like this. I’m not sure the causal viewer would pick up on how challenging this trip is. Love it.
Love your adventures Mark, especially that you can make it a true cross country with a new destination, awesome videos lately!
I loved the video! We do a longhorn cattle drive in that area of the mountain in the spring and fall.
Soo cool. On my bucket list
I really like the idea of cross country paracamping! hoping to start my training soon in Texas and to one day get to do this kind of stuff!
great flight and adventure. Nice to see the nitro going well. Great skills. Thanks buddy from the grey, cold, wet UK 😁👍
I'm down in N GA. My folks live near the Smokies. I'm just below retirement age and looking to get into this. My knees are shot so I'll do trike or quad. However, I'm loving the camping idea for sure.
Great vid… 👏
Awesome!!
So epic, love the paracamping adventure!
Same!
I am curious of the location, it looks gorgeous ! 😍
Hey. Yes it was cold but I wore a lot of layers. I flew from North Carolina through Tennessee and landed in Virginia. Then I flew back to North Carolina. Thanks for watching. I miss South Korea!
Beautiful
That sunrise music transition 👌
Sweet video dude
Might be time for some new boots
They need to be resoled. Still in good condition.
I remember lake Norman I use to live in Gastonia back in the mid 90’s 👍
My old tail couldn’t take all that seat time. I’m sure my legs would be useless for landing too. Oh well. I’ll just stick to my 1 hr flights. Great Video.
Amazing!! I envy you sir!!!
Inspiring
Love this, inspires me to fly camp in winter. A question, the tarp over your rig at night... Do you think it would be fine to just put a small bag over the carb and stuff the throttle in there if say it rained? The whole tarp or added tent extension seems like a bunch of extra material which could be minimized. Was there anything else you thought you could do without? How warm were you with that 1 person tent? Final question, are you going to try to make it to Salton?
I brought the tarp for dew. I wouldn't have flown if it rained but if it did get caught in rain, I'd prefer my reserve, seat, tools, wing, etc stay dry. That's why I bring the eno rain fly. I think I could of left the tripod but everything else was useful. I was warm. I hope I can make it
You were just up the street from fair lol. I know those greenhouses lol.
Yup
Nice to see you flying the Nitro. Are you using the 125cm or 130cm prop?? Great video by the way. The sunrise shot is awesome !!
125cm. It's the Revo200
Всегда позитив👍
What external mic were you using on the GoPro? Sounded great! Awesome video, I can't wait to get out there this spring. Did you see what looked like a guy standing in the rocks to the right of where you landed?
I talked to the rock guy for a while after landing. Copy pasta:
Download Davinci editing software. It's free, but complex if you don't edit (easy if you do). They just updated and added a new Audio effect. Under "Effects -Audio FX" you'll find "AUSoundIsolation". It's a game changer. It gets rid of all motor noise but I actually dial some motor noise back in to get rid of a slightly weird voice reverberation. I'll share my mic setup below but the good audio result was all post flight editing. Very good feature Davinci added.
My mic setup for the flight:

Mark, your inflight audio is incredibly clear. What kind of setup do you have to make it that clear with a motor running right behind you?

Mark, I downloaded the DaVinci software but it looks like you have to have a console to operate it because it has twist knobs. I'm wondering if there is a more user-friendly version that you can use with a laptop. I also want to search for audio enhancer software that might get rid of noise.
@Kolbra2004 I edit only on my laptop. You don't even need a mouse. Just your TouchPad.
Hopefully you're on this website:

Yes that's the software I downloaded but the audio portion of it didn't seem to work. I clicked on it and another menu popped up with twist knobs. I tried to use it but it didn't seem to have any effect engine noise. I'll keep trying.
Heavy D on youtube just bought a blackhawk , you two should do a video
Nice flight total distance? Good speed
Best David
Looks like great fun, both flying and camping, 2 favorites. 🏕️
What was the mountaintop you camped on? I've done the AT from Springer through Pearisburg. There were several bands that would be awesome to fly in/camp on.
Mark just curious. When you do these Great adventures into the hinterlands, do you have a carry permit?
Only if it's required.
Perfect answer! Lol
Love the video . Ever consider a trike to carry the loads ?
Yes but maybe not a mountain due to winds unless I'm 100% it'll be calm. I couldn't have flown a trike with gear back down that morning it was so windy.
NIce airport
Great video! What size is your Falcon? Ballpark idea how many hours are on it? Just curious. Keep up the great content!
20m. Way past inspection
@@MarkHuneycutt 😆
Where did you camp along the AT trail? Looked like Buzzard Rock in the video .
Unfortunately have to keep locations vague in the comments so it doesn't become overrun - not that many have seen this video.
What is the app/program you are using to track your trip?
XCtrack
Have you considered the gin paramotor tent?
Also, please can you tell me the software at the end of the video showing flight details?
Thank you
I have but I'm cheap and already have stuff 😜. I used XCTrack in flight then uploaded that .igc file to the visual you're seeing on sportstracklive.com
@@MarkHuneycutt tbh bro, it’s more bulky than what you are currently using.
Thanks mate
@@DansEscapades ah okay. Thanks
What about the thermals during the day?
Free lift! Save gas
Was that Smith Mountain Lake in one of the intro clips?
No that wasn't on my route
Before you leave you should do a over view of what you have with you so we can see instead of just going straight into your flying
You clearly didn't watch the video. Thanks for letting me know :(
@@MarkHuneycutt i did watch the video. You do it later in the video I’m saying you should switch the order.
@@jaytate7899 it's free content that I put a lot of work into. I'll never understand the complaints. I've got a video from 6 years ago where I show the camping gear 1st if you want to go find that one.
@@MarkHuneycuttI wasn’t complaining man it was just a suggestion? I don’t understand your hostility. I wouldn’t have subscribed if I didn’t enjoy it…
@@MarkHuneycutt also even if I was complain or not..? That’s the nature of content. You’re correct it’s free to watch… but what is content with out a person to watch it? There mutually exclusive. Can’t have. A content creator with out a content watcher.. you do it for the watcher I do it for the content. You claimed I didn’t watch the full video when you didn’t read the full comment and just assumed it was negative when it was just a friendly suggestion and got defensive. I don’t think that’s right.
What do you think your max gear weight to take off is? I'm buying a Paramotor soon and want to be able to carry 70lb
Gear maybe 30 lbs. Not much. My kit has gotten a lot lighter lately, too, with a new sleeping pad and bag
@@MarkHuneycuttl ike what do you think you could take off with was my question. Sorry
@graysondavey4151 oh. You can carry 70 lbs for sure. I know some who have done 90. The heavier it is, the harder the initial inflation and run. You can also add a trike, and weight won't be an issue.
What engine is that?
Air Conception Revolution 200
Roan Bald?
