Steve. very cool to be part of this SME piece of History!! (from the couch watching RUclips). The new "time lapse " music is great - gutsy and hard. Stay away from the "Cletus " sound. Loved the early 60s/surf rock in the prior vid. Congrats man. I'm diggin it! Hoppah
I don't know why I'm so excited for these engines, but I sure am. Currently I can't fathom getting to own one. I'm a stock LS truck block build up guy. I feel like I'm watching the moon landing back when my parents were kids. Absolutely fantastic job sir! You guys have my admiration.
It's official. I'm addicted. I'm sneaking a quick look during work hours.. can't help it... My opinion! The best of the best. Absolutely the finest engineered boosted power plant out. alongside the one and only smx... Hell yeah!!!.
Another beautifully radical piece. I’d love to be able to afford just the plumbing on this beast. Great videos guys. Love the positive attitude and amazing work.
30 hrs just on set-up is pretty ridiculously efficient considering what it is and the fact that the final product will be a huge return(ROI)! Can't wait to see how it performs!
"They probably did some FEA on it" Casually dropping Finite Element Analysis as common jargon, lol. For the uninitiated that means they simulated the stresses and performance of the part to help with design.
Dude Steve's been doing this so long I don't believe anyone could build a better engine than him to a point that if I ever can afford to have someone build one for me he will be the man and this will be the engine
I like how you explain the why's and how's and why can't it's easier said than done taking a chunk of aluminum and turning it into an engine it's beautiful piece of art
THANK YOU for changing the music! SO many content creators completely don't get what it's like to hear what they think is "good" or "something they like" music that turns into a repetitive pain session where you have to turn the sound down during sound points of a video. LOL I mean if you heard the same song 250 times in a row, often used on other channels too so lets make it 500 times...would YOU be in pain and considering tuning out? Not knocking using the same music here and there for special times but MAN was it nice to hear some new on your channel. Steve. It's easy to see that you're a man of details and yes you give a crap what people are seeing on your channel. For me it's just YET ANOTHER reason to keep tuning in. Mmmm vband's everywhere. Great Job. Seriously great job and MAN I hope that LS puts down some serious numbers. A Q and A that you might offer for a video.....why LS is so good, where did it come from, what you've improved, what people can use it for, expectations etc etc. Just a suggestion because I think people just hear "Yes, we threw an LS3 with LS7 head in it and with a couple twins we're doing XXXX power". There's a TONNNNN of history there and a reason why people go junkyard LS shopping.
wow! that's alot to get on the Dyno. I have really enjoyed this build. I like the time laps and your direction to previous videos for extra explanation. 🤘🏻🇺🇲
Gidday Steve, what absolute engineering masterpiece!!! Congratulations to you and your team and thanks for sharing… thanks for the music update too😀 Cheers Scoot and can’t wait for the dyno.
An Amazing piece of engineering Steve Was shocked Dyno hookup took that long Just figure Roll it in on a stand A couple/few hours to bolt it all up Fire it off Looking forward to the Dyno pulls
@@km0821Did you really think he was going to use an old hot side on his brand new never tested engine? You can use your old hot side if you want if I remember correctly.
@@km0821 Yeah from scratch, from my understanding this engine is already sold and the setup is basically what the guy will be putting into his car, exactly. So it will unbolt from dyno and drop straight into his car. Plus even with alot of his other engines there is still quite a bit of fab work that goes into fully setting up the hot/cold sides to the turbos when on the dynos.
Steve does not get the credit he is deserved. Steve is very humble to be one of the best engine developer, builder of all time. Keep rocking in the free world .
How much coolant does your LSX hold in comparison to reg 427? I think a standard 427 holds around 20 quarts. I'd assume the lsx would be almost double that, there is a ton of cooling going on. Very good idea for sure. The mo-the-bettah!

Amazing R&D - Steve would be cool to have a vid describing all of the various steps you took in development to production - I don't think most of us have any idea of the work, resources and $ it takes to create something like this from scratch.
Hell yeah brother Steve great video bud and also I wanted to add great F'n soundtrack, hopefully someday I can get one of your engines Love The learning experience man thanks 👍 Charlie Western PA
From the road race motors I've done, the valve cover is vented to the dry sump tank and the dry sump tank vented to an overflow tank. If the scavenge side of the dry sumo pump is large enough, a restriction can be placed in the valve cover line so you are pulling a vacuum in the crank case. ( to aid ring sealing )
@@bobroberts2371 Mine is currently similar I got the Vent for the dry sump going to the overflow but also the valve covers to overflow. As the dry sump was added after the engine was already setup. Curious if you even need to vent the engine at all. Mine is a drag racing setup.
If I ever win the lottery, I'm gonna by a Steve Morris engine.

I'm happy to know the sml won't be a center point of a conspiracy theory. Haha
This is incredible Steve. You need to talk Garret into buying one for Leroy. Lol that car needs a motor revival with the new 4link setup
i wouldn't be surprised if they already are putting one in
i would not be surprised at all if this very one is going to Garret
cause we all know if you need something pushed to the breaking point the giraffe is the go to guy.
Man that would level Leroy up big Time.
I would imagine if Garrett is getting this engine it would be going in ruby considering Leroy isn’t running coolant any longer.
