From a design and engineering standpoint, the SML is equally amazing as the SMX is and to achieve over 3200HP in a reliable small block powerplant is definitely something that earns both respect and admiration. Hats off to you Steve. Of course our favorite chewy Dewey stole the show as usual. LOL Such a good boy. Cheers!
Where's the guy that was talking trash about steve and said the SML would never make 3000hp without lifting the heads? Steve knows how to build an engine for super high boost and also cruise down the highway for a 1000 miles reliably.

Still crazy how you are pumping so much air your vent louvers get sucked closed. Would be interesting to put a baro sensor in the room or manometer to see exactly how much the pressure in the room is right at the end as the louvers close. I doubt you are pulling a vacuum, or if so, long enough to make a difference today.... but in the future with these massive air pumps you are building / dynoing, eventually I think you will be pulling a vacuum and possibly will be effecting the output. Amazing power with an LS based small block (427?) with small 83mm turbos! You have reason to be proud of this engine Steve. It is a game changer just like your SMX has proven to be.

The fact that you can see it sucking the air vent on the back wall closed during a pull is really a testament to how much air this thing is moving. That engine is a black hole.
Looking at the exhuast vents towards the end of the pull, it looks like the room as a whole is pulling a vacuum. Tom Nelson ran into a similar issue years ago and fixed it by removing the dyno room window. I'd be curious if opening your door would change the outcome at all

Very informative and realistic. One question : how much wear on a new engine with 20 dyno pulls? Steve seems to have that covered as he is going to pull the pan and check it out. I guess that may be my answer. Many thanks.
Hey Steve, can you tell us about the vents in the dyno room? I imagine it could be both, but if you could clarify your exhaust system construction in those dyno rooms, it would solve my curiosity. Thanks!!
