I think placing Lindor in that number one spot where he's comfortable and JD has made a huge difference.
I think it's really been Alvarez who has turned this ship around. Look at the ERA of all of our pitchers when he catches vs everyone else. Since he's been back, we've been on it. He's clearly a difference on that clubhouse.

The Mets are not a static team. They go into phases where they ARE awful and they go into phases where they ARE very good. They are fluid-more than probably any other team in baseball.

I don't want to hear about him pushing the right buttons. Vientos is here because Baty couldn't hit and there was no one left to consider. How long did it take for the Mets to get McNeil out of the lineup and call Iglesias up from the minors? What is happening here is all due to players stepping up.
@@PGO_Gaming he also DFA’d Narvaez, Nido, Brought in Torrens, Bader, Sevy, Manaea, brought up Eglecias, may have even had a lot to do with changing the batting order. I didn’t say he was pushing ALL of the right buttons(the players still have to perform), but he doesn’t waste any time making adjustments if things don’t work right away. I believe Lindor is a great player, but only in the leadoff spot. Since being placed there, I believe he found himself. Yes, he's overpaid for that spot, but he shouldn't be put in any other spot

The core is fine. They put up the numbers every year. What the Mets need to do is add to the core and they have already done that with Alvarez and Vientos.
Honestly if we get Soto I rather let Pete go and sign JD Martinez to a 2 year deal for 2/30mill. Pete should be the backup plan. Vientos at 1B
Baty/Ronny at 3B and Acuna 2B. That way you have DH open in 2 years for Vientos, Clifford or even Soto when the defense goes bad
The lineup is really good when they play to the back of the baseball card. The rotation is solid and deep, especially considering that we can call up Jose Butto and Christian Scott to take the place of poor starters if necessary plus we have Tidwell and Sproat coming as well. The bullpen is fine. We are a good team. Our manager on the other hand, concerns me.

I don't listen to these idiots and there's a simple reason. Licata was saying the season was over a couple weeks ago and now he's all in because they've won 8 straight. Let them lose 3 or 4 in a row and the season will be over again and he'll lament being sucked in. He's as phony as a $3 bill. TIKI'S partner is a front runner METS' fan. A little over a week and a half ago he was bashing the METS saying that they suck,among other things. IT'S DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND FRONT RUNNERS.
