I love listening to Mike, but he predicted the Mavs would be tough out and they were thoroughly outplayed. His logic is that the Celtics, who won 64 games and weren't challenged in post-season, aren't that good. Sorry Mike, but you completely missed it on this one. Perhaps you'll better understand their greatness when they repeat next year.

As a Knick fan since the mid 80's I am in my 50's now and last night I watched the Celtics celebrate and I had a moment where it hit me, am I ever going to see the Knicks do that?
It's more probable now than a few years ago with the emergence of Brunson...Knicks seem to be on the right track.. hopefully their luck is changing which is something you need to win a title.
I'm 63, been a Knicks fan since the 70s. Saw the first two championships, would like to see another before I leave this earth, lol.
The chances are better now than they were when Isiah and later Phil Jackson ran the franchise into the ground. Rose & Co. seem to have NY on the right track with a legit star in Brunson. What we need is another star wing player to pair with him. I'd add another big man and strengthen the bench.

If the Knicks had any luck health wise they would have given the Celtics their toughest series. It would have been a great series. Great crowds. Tense games. Great Rivalry. Unfortunately practically every Knicks player got hurt . Maybe next year

Finals were awful, terrible, bad look for the nba, also Lindor usually ends up with his numbers every year.
NBA playoffs on the whole were mostly uncompetitive and unwatchable shame the Knicks had every body injured it would have been interesting to see

Regarding your comments about Kyrie Irving, talking about what someone can or can't break through mentally as a spectator is a bit baffling to me.
I think we might be best served with keeping your commentary to football, baseball, golf, and horse racing, which you clearly know best.
For a player with his talent, he played horrible in the finals and has been nothing but a disaster for every team he's played for. He doesn't have the right mentality to be the great player or team leader he should be. He wouldn't even have the one championship he has if it wasn't for Lebron, and he was a horrible teammate even then.
What a pathetic performance by all mavericks teams Luka and Irving it was ugly last night they looked like 24 hours fitness team!!!
