if anyone's here in 2020, i do seasonal work in idaho! i moved from vegas from a toxic household and i honestly would recommend it. it changed my life and pushed me so far out of my comfort zone, i wouldn't change a thing. i've met the best people
I'm here in 2021. First learned about seasonal work about 3 yrs ago and was so excited but kept postpone leaving due to ties with significant other and my cat. Lol. 2022 is just days away and now I'm ready to do me!
My fiance and I worked in Seward last summer via coolworks. Huge adventure! Otters, Whales, Fishing, free kayaking, hiking, Ididaride summer sled dogging, eagles, waterfalls. Was great. Wasnt crazy about the people we worked for, kinda crabby, but the good memories will def stick!
My wife and I are going to Alaska in our converted ambulance. Thanks for confirming that we can find jobs through coolworks. We are traveling throughout North America.
Hey! My name is Tory and James Vincente is building out my van and lead me to your channel. Which I am currently obsessed with!! So fun being able to watch your videos from a few years to now
I don't recommend commercially going salmon for set netters. Did that last summer, and while the views and nature surrounding Kodiak were AMAZING, crew aren't treated very well. Alaska is an amazing place. Get out there and go hike :)
Its true. Snowflake expectations are often shattered when they are required to do real work, dirty work. "What? no latte breaks?" There's also no avocado toast on those boats. Feelings take a backseat in high risk/high reward jobs.
I just found your channel from the wrong gender reveal video. I’m cracking up because your personality is so similar to my aunt. I’ve lived in Alaska for my whole life and it truly is a magical place.
Alaska is amazing!!! I saw you tried the Alaskan Amber beer...its awesome right!? Please tell me you got to try Mooses Tooth pizza in Anchorage, if not it is a must see whenever you get to go back.
Oh man, this video and all of your stories totally inspired an overflow of emotions thinking back on wilderness guiding last summer. They are the best memories. I have summers off... is Alaska calling my name?? :D
Hey Shayla! I’m wondering where in Alaska you worked? I’m thinking of working in Seward this summer but I really wanna go somewhere with rafting, so I was curious where you worked on the Kenai. Or perhaps where was the rafting adventure? (I spoke with someone who lives in Seward and he was saying that rafting isn’t really a thing near Seward). Thank you :)
I’m thinking about getting a seasonal job out there this summer. Do you have any work recommendations and or how to actually get a summer job and temporary live out there?
so RAD! Rebekah is from Homer, so Im totally considering this for our next seasonal job. right now we're in Jackson Hole wyoming :D what job did you get while you were there?
I'm planning on going out to kenai for a few months, is there any particular lodges you heard great things about? And is there such a thing as health benefits at these places
Me and my gf are trying to move to Alaska any recommendations on jobs I've done all kinds of jobs my whole life she's a waitress and now works in the office. But we're saving up to move there after the winter next year
"and like" ..."like" "I could like..." like like like. Geez, does this millennial chick know any other words for starting a sentence?? Just try counting how many times she says "like". I stopped around the 5 minute mark and it was already over 80! i wouldn't make it 2 minutes in a conversation with someone LIKE this. Incredibly annoying. As long as her boyfriends are younger than 20, she'll have no problem keeping his attention. She's one of these people that overuses words like "amazing". Read more books. It might teach you to eliminate these words from your complex vocabulary.

Omg Seward is so beautiful! I worked at Gwins lodge! And the rafting company was chugach!
Do they care about age? I'm 60 and thought I might try this next summer.
I’m not sure, check out coolworks.com !!!
I wanna visit too.
I’m thinking about getting a seasonal job out there this summer. Do you have any work recommendations and or how to actually get a summer job and temporary live out there?
Yep did you watch the video? Coolworks.com is a great resource! Good luck!

Omg Jackson hole is a dream too!!
I worked in a restaurant in coopers landing and it was magic!!
Applied to kenai and now I have an interview! What’s the pay like and what job did you have?
Looks awesome!! What was the name of the place you worked at?
I worked at Gwins lodge in the Kenai
Where do workers stay at? How does that work??
I'm planning on going out to kenai for a few months, is there any particular lodges you heard great things about? And is there such a thing as health benefits at these places
Not health benefits for seasonal work.
But there is a lodge in the Kenai. Just google it :) I cant remember the name. I want to say angel?
What seasonal job over there comes with housing?
Mine did! I think a lot do bc they know you’ll need it!
That water HAD to be Super Cold!
Me and my gf are trying to move to Alaska any recommendations on jobs I've done all kinds of jobs my whole life she's a waitress and now works in the office. But we're saving up to move there after the winter next year
Check our cooljobs.com
Just do a job search for permanent jobs. There is alot less competition for jobs there, you shouldn't have a problem getting something.
what kind of work did you do? I didnt hear that specified.
