hi, good video, so me and my fiancé want to moce to anchorage alaska next year. he can transfer his job up there witch is good . can i get a seasonal job if i live there and instead of living where u work i live at my own place just until i find something? or is it only for out of state people? i wonder if it be easier to land a seasonal job before i head out cuz i hear finding a job is hard and alot wont look at out of state applications.
Everyone said it rains a lot in summer (we stayed in Seward, Alaska).. I’m not sure if that’s applying to the whole state. Oddly enough, it didn’t hardly rain at all - got so hot up there I had to buy some shorts and tank tops 😂 I’d def bring a rain jacket and warm clothes tho just in case. I still needed these some days
Were you by any chance working in the Windsong Seward Lodge?? I am hired to that job this summer any advices, since I'm from Europe and its actually my first time in America...
No we worked at a different one, however Travis worked at Safeway (grocery store) part time with Bulgarians who worked at Windsong! (I think a lot of internationals worked there) They had a shuttle that took them to town from the lodge. You’re going to be in a very beautiful area. I hope you enjoy your first time in America 🇺🇸😀
@@TheJeniVlogShow Haha I'm also from Bulgaria so ye I heard some stories from friends, they also said Seward is fun if you love nature. I'm also more into not so warm weather as I can't stand 40+ degrees celsius here in summer. Your Vlog was very helpful to me and I loved it. Can you give me also some info is second job common in Seward??
Thank you for this video! This is exactly what I was looking for since I want to do the same thing this summer. May I ask what you needed to include in your job application? I know you would need a resume, but did you need references?
Hi!! So glad you liked the video! So yes, besides a resume, I was asked to include some references as well. It was pretty easy and we heard back from the job we applied for right away, and had a FaceTime interview
The room was awesome! I hear they're changing things around a bit for room & board... here's a link to their website! Are you thinking of working in AK? :) www.resurrectionlodge.com/
Thanks for sharing the CoolWorks love Jeni! Any adventures in the works for summer 2020?
Actually yes! After a quick trip to Paris, we plan on working the summer in Colorado ;)
Which bed and breakfast did you work at? My fiancé and I will want to consider Alaska.
