Finally, some awesome diversity in the travel/camping YT space. As a fellow “Blasian” who loves these channels, your hyper cool representation matters. The Adobo, Pancit and white rice looked awesome. Filipinos were such an important part of the economy of Alaska. My Filipino grandfather or Lolo worked in the canneries in the 20’s and 30’s . A lot of struggle and strong union organizing. Thanks for the historical perspective too. Awesome channel and much needed. Stay safe!
Hello Ms Loui I enjoyed your stay in the hotel. I totally get chilling by yourself. I love going places off season! No crowds for me for sure even before the germ germ lol. The whistling song added a great touch to the footage when you were walking. 2 thumbs lady!
You are one BRAVE sister!! The red floral carpet alone gave me funeral parlor vibes.😬 Glad nothing crazy happened. For some reason I thought you & Bex were Creole, maybe it was the drive through LA, idk. But the moment you said Filipino, I could see it right away! 🎉🥰 Cheers to more adventures! ☕
My granddaughter is mixed with Filipino and black. She has introduced me to the culture and food. I often wondered what your mixture was. You are very pretty. Love watching your adventures, I’m in California.
Glad you enjoyed your trip. My Son lives in Juneau for over 10 years, originally from SoCal. I have visited Him twice and love it there. The best month to visit is late July early August....Sockeye Salmon are running. Best place to visit is the Mendenhal Glacier area...lots to see and do there. The Robertson tram is worth checking out also. There are lots of beautiful hikes to do also. My favorite is the hike to Windfall Lake....Beautiful. Hope you can make that return visit....lots more to see and experiance
I am so glad you enjoyed our community. Heritage coffee is where my granddaughter works. I hope you enjoyed your lovely cup. Enjoy your new adventure in building a life here in Southeast Alaska! Pel Minis Has the best Russian dumplings I’m glad you enjoyed! It’s the nutmeg that makes it so special! I see you went to rainbow foods! I hope you were able to get some Alaskan Amber beer from Alaskan brewing Co.
I'm glad you treated yourself to a mini vacation, and that you spent your time the way you wanted to! You are a brave and lovely young woman! I bet you and Bex would have a great time together there.
I've lived in Juneau my whole life so welcome! As a heads up, there are three Asian markets in Juneau so if you can't find things in one place you might have better luck in another. Good luck with the winter!
Hi Louie(: Thankyou(: i really enjoyed your video. I get the being mixed I'm part Nanimo, Squamish & Filipino Luuuved the history of the peoples and the hotel stories...Yikes😱😇
Those views from the flight were gorgeous. Can't believe you read the haunted stories before going to bed 😱 would've freak me out & I'd have to stay somewhere else.
Hope you're having fun; sandy beach on douglas and airport access trail in mendenhall are good for dog walks. High tide clears the beaches of snow but not the ice. Cheers.
Wow! Good evening from New York City! What a view you got there and those streets are so cute and empty. Everything looks so green and fresh, so quiet. Juneau has been on my bucket list for years but still never made it there. At least once in my lifetime but I have to visit it. Loved your vlog!
Hi Louie. Wow, I got chills listening to your hotel story 😟👻 Thanks for the history of Juneau and breath taken views. Stay safe and healthy. Peace and Blessings to you 🙏🏾❤️
Loved this one! It's so great to catch the edges of those "off-season" windows and feel like you have the place to yourself :) I also appreciated you acknowledging the experience of being ambiguously mixed and other people not recognizing shared heritage. Definitely an odd feeling.
My imagination is waaaay too active for anything haunted, so more power to ya! I hopeo no one judges you for not going out. I have definitely felt the same way while traveling.
This town is cute. Its good you didnt go to a bar alone your a pretty young girl you need to be careful even in small towns you might meet bad people. I like the hotel thanx for showing it.
As some who lives in Juneau, you did a good job showing it :) Also originally wasn't a youtuber who said that it was the radio show Coast to Coast with Art Bell....now it is on youtube with the George Noory who replaced him, which was a good lead in considering your went to our haunted hotel :)
Enjoyed your video with this beautiful area of Alaska! Great haul of Filipino food, my favorite abobo and pansit, yummy as will as Kare Kare (oxtail) 😊. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
I kept expecting something to pop out in the hallways! Haha! Great video. And I'm not Filipino but my uncle, cousins, and a lot of my friends growing up were and are. We always used Vermicelli rice noodles for pansit (my fave!) and the seasonings were yellow onion, garlic, soy sauce, salt and cracked pepper. I recently made vegan pansit and it was amazing! Thanks for taking us along! My kind of introverted-ish trip. :^)
You did so good - after watching the scary information about the hotel history and staying there -glad you had a fun trip, thanks for taking us along!🦋❤️❇️
Omg I totally get you about being culturally ambiguous. I'm Mexican and Nobody ever thinks I am. I get puzzled looks often. I've just learned to embrace it. Makes me more mysterious I guess. As an introvert I enjoy a bit of mystery. I also always appreciate your historical research when you travel.
Hey I’m doing a interview with my school here in Juneau. I lived here my whole life and I never stayed there or even heard that it was haunted but I hope you had a good time here.
6:25 In 1982-83(?) I was arrested right on this dock for doing nothing illegal. I was with two good friends l older than myself, and we were just goofing around , having fun on a summer night. We had my friend’s old Volvo named ‘Ruby’ and were wearing our rubber cleats after playing softball, (because that was one of the only things to do for fun back then in the summer) and my friend Cris was on the roof of her OWN car and we weren’t drinking nor drugging or anything illegal. We’d been yelling, “nubbies on Ruby” because she was wearing cleats on her car top. But we hadn’t been making too much noise or anything. This cop rolled up and began questioning us and when he found out I wasn’t of drinking age he decided he could search her car. Cris had her recycling in the back of her car that she hadn’t taken to the recycle place yet. So, “open container” but no drinking. Neither of us drank ! I think he found a couple of empty beer bottles. Now, Cris was a school teacher and was Cherokee and had been honorably adopted by the Tlingit Tribe for heaps of good work she’d done for native at-risk youth in Juneau and other southeast towns. Our other friend was an up&up “good citizen” too. I didn’t drink or otherwise break the law in any way but he arrested me anyway. Now,,,I have suffered from severe claustrophobia since I can remember and when they made me go into the tiny, steel-doored , concrete shower-stall , I panicked (and they humiliated me by spraying me down with chemicals to kill lice…) and when they put me in the cell I had to go into an altered state in order to not lose my mind. It was HORRIBLE. And I hadn’t DONE anything wrong! Anyway, my buddies had contacted a mutual friend who had trained all of the new employees at the new women’s jail. And she was FURIOUS that they’d arrested me in the first place. It was truly traumatic. But I still love Southeast . I TOTALLY should have sued !
Thank you for the history lesson! it was so cool to learn about Juno. So glad you got to eat some yummy Filipino food ☺️ the hotel you stayed in seemed so cool and interesting 😁
Nope, not even thinking you're a loser! If anything, I am more impressed that you explored at all! Chicken Adobo is sooooo good :). Yummy! Thanks for sharing :)
wear wool and a knit hat this is how to get warm using the bodys natural heat. Also long under wear thermals and layers . Do not wear cotton its not as good as synthetic fabris polyester stretchy or rayon for layers will keep you warmer. Leggings are good and ski clothes are great . Good boots wool socks good gloves .
I wish millionaires, or billionaires would be cool, and buy back the land and give it back to the indigenous peoples!!! Imagine if all the richest people in the world thought of others instead of their selves! How amazing our world would be ❤️
Girl be careful just started watching a show called Evil in Alaska and you need to stop going around up there alone or letting your mom go alone. There are so bad dudes hiding out in that place killing women.
Girl, I’m totally loving your channel. I actually really liked that you chose to do what was authentic to your own joy. I think it says something about your level of maturity that you’re comfortable with really enjoying the centered things in life. I relate to your experiences and would have eaten a full meal of restaurant food every chance I got. 😉🤣 But, I would have entertained myself with mild people watching, the ambiance of the hotel, creeping myself out, and probably telling myself not to film that one believable thing that did happen because the evidence wasn’t believable. Even now, at 42, I can say I’m grateful for the adventurous life making centered choices gave me. I really enjoyed that you did share your food container story. That’s about the only thing that annoys me about myself today. I talk myself out of my value for moments of time. I hope you never do. You were intelligent, interesting and like listening to a friend. I hope you film for as long as it makes you happy. Your Mom seems lovely. She must be wonderful to have made such a special daughter. I can relate, I have 5 children. They’re a beautiful gift. I wish you both well and look forward to watching. If you’re ever on the peninsula my family will gladly share a meal with you both. If you’re interested, lol. ~Sheeara, Alaska

I live and was raised in Juneau! Glad you had a great time! I’m glad you found Pels! Hidden gem of Juneau a local secret!
Your not a looser. I enjoy watching you be independent. Being around too many people can be overrated.
Hello Ms Loui I enjoyed your stay in the hotel. I totally get chilling by yourself. I love going places off season! No crowds for me for sure even before the germ germ lol. The whistling song added a great touch to the footage when you were walking. 2 thumbs lady!
Thank you friend!! 💕
The footage of the fog covered hills, streams and waterfalls was really breathtaking and beautifully captured. Thank you for sharing it all.
Thank you for coming along!!
Yikes! 😱 You’re brave. I could feel the energy of that place through the screen. Juneau looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing😊
Yeah that place had a very strange vibe. Glad I didn’t see any ghost haha
Hey! I love your energy. I have lived here my whole life, I've done probably 90% of the trails, and I frequent the Alaskan Hotel. Great video.
You be you. There is nothing better. God bless you and your mom.
Great video. Thanks for showing us around. Now I miss Juneau even more.
Thanks for coming along for the ride!

Aww, Loui! You got totally spooked at this hotel!
Wow! Good evening from New York City! What a view you got there and those streets are so cute and empty. Everything looks so green and fresh, so quiet. Juneau has been on my bucket list for years but still never made it there. At least once in my lifetime but I have to visit it. Loved your vlog!

Fun video.😀
You are funny . Tell the spirits they can’t come in & then they can’t bother you.
I understand people not knowing about being mixed race. Everyone thinks I am Mexican decent. But I am Filipino and Irish.
Sometimes I get people walking up to me and immediately speaking Spanish haha I need to get on learning it to avoid the awkward situations haha
I’m Flying In Tomorrow From NYC ,thanks for vid

I’ve always wanted to visit Juneau 🥰
It's such a cool lil city!

That was a great video, your gorgeous
